  • A video showing of the potential of the Panasonic LUMIX G 100-300mm. In this video a take you on top of a "mountain" to take some beautiful photos of layers.
    Layers are a very interesting compositional element but you can make them evem more interesting by adding a subject and using the right gear. This is where the Panasonic LUMIX G 100-300mm comes in.

    Cool video, and my brain hurts from all the very useful info in it. I clicked on the thumbnail thinking it was just a review... I'm thinking of buying that lens... I like your style, and the hard work and passion you put into your images is obvious... thank you, looking forward to following your channel.

    You didn't have the layers but you did very well with the clouds. Nice pictures.

    I love the editing of the end scene, well cut on the beat. I am surprised, that such a great channel has not even 100 subs. But this will change...

    Great video and so much useful information. You have a very easy way to describe methods that I can use. I just bouth this lens and love it. Do you use a polarizer or ND filter with this lens for different shot settings? Or do you just use a minimal effect filter just to protect the lens? Thanks and please keep the very good informative videos coming.

      Hello. Nice to hear that. I don't use any filters with this lens. In fact I only use a variable ND from Hoya for videos and long exposure on my lenses. Variable ND is also polarizing if turn the whole thing on the lens so all in one👍. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

      @@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens Great idea on the one filter option. Do you remember the brand you use on this lens since it sounds like it's worked well for you. Thanks

      The brand is Hoya. 82mm costs cca 130EUR/USD. Smaller threads are cheaper.

    Well done sir! I love that intro and the music. Thanks for your useful tips and tricks. Where is this lovely place? I still hesistate between that lens and the Leica DG 100-400 but I think i will buy "just" the 100-300.

      You're very welcome;) This is the hill above the town of Kamnik in Slovenia. About the lens: I can say that I don't regret buying this lens instead of the Leica version. The performance is way higher than the price so it is definitely worth it. Cheers and thanks for the comment.

      I got lately 100-300, and it's amazing so far (even on GM5). There was a promo on amazon, so I paid "only" 420EUR. But it depends why you need such telephoto. I would love additional "200mm" of 100-400 for wildlife photography, but the price ... :)

    • @M1R0_Life_through_a_lens
      @M1R0_Life_through_a_lens  3 роки тому +1

      Yes the 400mm would be nice to have. I don't do wildlife photography very often. Should give it a try as well. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

      @@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens If you don't do wildlife, 100-300 is no brainer for you, since it's almost 2 times lighter! My setup is just 750g ;) for 200-600mm FF equiv :). It's almost 3kg with FF camera and lens.

      @@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens I have the 100-300 since about 3 months back and I am still learning to use it properly. Do you have the 3rd party tripod mount?
      Like someone commented earlier, so surprising your channel does not have more subscribers but that will change given time.

    • @M1R0_Life_through_a_lens
      @M1R0_Life_through_a_lens  3 роки тому

      Thank you. If you mean a tripod mount for the lens, then no. I have a Manfrotto 290 something which has a very strong ball head so the camera is very stable.
