You weren't clear with the demonstration at the end. I should be able to walk up to the vehicle and it unlock automatically and just push the start button? I shouldn't have to push the unlock button in the app, right?
What’s the recommended retail price for this service to our customers? I know it’s whatever you wish to charge but it should have a somewhat standard pricing
At 10:48 I show the button customizing option if you opted to connect push to start or an other function in lieu of a trunk or panic. The SmartKeyBox supports four buttons max currently, so this option is helpful.
The only part the needs the Xhorse programmers is generating the xhorse keys. Otherwise as long as your remote is programmed for the vehicle, it can be used in the Smart Key Box. If you desire to add (up to 6) remotes to your smart key box after it's connected then you will definitely need Xhorse Universal Smart remotes, a Keytool Max and Mini OBD.
What happens if someone knew im using the smartbox ...crashes the car window take out the smartbox out puts a key battery to the xhorse PCB .....he will be able to drive the car in minutes
Or if they just put the box against the sensing area. Don't need a battery. That's a no-go for the box from me. I'd be fine using it to add proximity lock/unlock/remote start to non PTS vehicles, but not to PTS vehicles. Only way I'd consider doing it for a client is by finding a viable point to rivet a steel box to the vehicle. Like inside the fender well or something. Somewhere obscure and not in the cabin. And run a tap off the fuse box instead of plugging into the OBD port. .
Nice... Will be ordering some soon...

yes. exactly. keyless door access and locking. also no smart key required by driver for use of vehicle if desired.
Does the unit always have to be connected to the OBD connector?
Yes, otherwise the device would have no power when vehicle is off. :)

A very interesting question. What other services are similar to this one in terms of difficulty or installation?
@@UHSHardware All that will factor into the install price for sure
10:55 The smart box APP shows a remote start button what does that means?

@@UHSHardware thx!
