I tried using a blank new nissan keyless go fob but I get an error message when I try to generate it saying " Use smart key or ordinary XM remote" which is quite strange and when I read transponder it shows locked and unclonable the locked bit is also diff from showm on video. Hi good day. What about the older model cars with turn knob type and not push to start button. Apart from the key FOB, the blade key apparently has a chip that requires programming in order to start the vehicle as well
How do you know what keys will work on what cars. Also you did the 20 digit pin how do you know to pick that and not another is there a book or a list that tells you that . I have seen some guys entering a pin how do you get the pin? Thanks awesome videos

Hi. I want to ask you something. if a client wants another spare key because he lost the original one and only has one left. As locksmith, what do you prefer to perform? Add only 1 key or wipe all the existing registered key and program new ones?
It’s a tricky one, only because as you know some cars automatically delete all keys when programing a new one, like Nissan for example. Then there is ford which of course needs two keys back into system to complete the all keys lost program. Which can be scary sometimes especially on the older models as they will sometimes give an issue programing back in system even after ten minute wait. Then if for some reason it doesn’t work for you then they find their old key it won’t work any longer ughhhh nightmare for sure Best course is to leave it up to customer and explain benefits and the risk. Covers your behind and sometimes leads you into some extra money cause they will need two keys 😀. But yeah customer knows best 😉

Hy Mike hope you ok. Just a quick 1 is it the similar for nissan Murano 2017? I meant i can use the vvdi and the obd right? And 1 more thing can't you modify the buttons before you program it.
Yes you can program it but im not sure if they have that key to generate! I wouldnt reccomend modifying the buttons first as you dont know what the buttons are going to be until it programs!

Good video Mike i just tried i think i had the wrong key fob as it required a prox key what does prox stand for? And how to know the difference from Xhorse smart key the 1 i have with me is same logo as you have on the back and inside there is a chip sticked to the fob on top of the battery metal VVDI written. I've even upgraded just then to newer V1.2.5
Prox is short for proximity key.. the key has to be inside the car within proximity!! This key is a universal smart key by xhorse doesnt have a flip blade.. you might have a super remote or wireless remote ... you need a universal smart key!

Can you program older nissan models around 08 same way or you must program through key slot? Just annoying having to keep so many of those nissan fobs around because universal fobs don't fit .

Me preferably i just add them unless he says someone stole the key then i erase all keys and reprogram!

I dont really know the key number for the proximity universal key but you can always Try key4.com they have many nice Xhorse keys to chose from

No because ,they universal smart key wont fit in the slot .. but there are some universal smartkeys with the egg shape ..

i have a problem generating ID49 on smart proximity keys with my key tool max. first when i try to read transponder it says id46. when i try to generate to id49 it response to FAIL and then can not read or generate anything ! also when i try to reset VVDI super chip it say convert fail !!! what i can do now on ??? any help will be appreciated ? have in mind i already tried mqb type XEMQB1EN model smart remote and also XEKF21EN model

I have tried to add a key and it says cas system will not allow key matching through OBD??? Is it the reader as the reader is faulty or does the car need the ECU flashing I'm using the pad2 pro with kc100

I'm retired living in central Florida and was wondering what the investment and earning potential might be to start a key and remote replacement business specifically targeting the public through ad's in the local papers and Craig's List and other sources like used car dealers, rental agencies, etc.
I would say invest about 5k$ you come out making around 4k and up a month depending how much work you get
