Let me know what you guys think of this presentation for a tier list. I thought it'd look better than what I've done previously (which admittedly was pretty lazy).
One thing I hate in this game is that not all characters are immune to cc/damage or have attacks that are interruptible ... This needs fixing imo asap, it creates too much of a power difference between the characters and some will be forgotten by people because they're gonna hit the bottom of the tier list quite fast.
Can’t agree more. The first thing I noticed. You almost can’t do anything with some of the characters because your cast time is so slow and it can be interrupted at anytime. So unsatisfying. The game has potential but this needs to be fixed.
I bought thor because i thought he was cool but he has 0 immunity and 0 interruptible attacks and his spin can just be canceled by a simple basic attack. Its so fkg garbage i would put him under sol tbh. Oh yes and the ult can be countered by a simple jump, noice!
Dawg sol is quite literally the best defense character for koth (king of the hill), and gold rush And as a main of sol you have to use here projectile as a interruption of edge recovering, she's a sniper
Im an athena main and at the start i thought she was mid until i realized her combo game is out of this world along with the fact that it's really safe to fight off stage with her. She doesn't have insane kill abilities but if you can fight off stage reliably with her she's pretty reliable at getting kills and staying safe.
Thors recovery is amazing, he can counter edge guards with his hammer throw, his spin has a perk that gives it +15% knockback which means you can 1 shot anyone over 100% if they're even slightly near the edge. His ult is best for 2v2s I think, as it can completely stop edge recovery (smack someone back, dash to the side and wall off the entire lane). If they don't have a movement ability, they lose. He's at least high B tier, his heavy charge can also be easily used. The hammer returns, throw it behind someone intentionally, bait your charge so they stand out of range to counter your recovery time and then they get smacked into range from the returning hammer for an easy edge knock. His heavy is his weakest ability, being one of the slowest. But his normal attacks can do over 30dmg with perks. (his starting perk helps).
Tbh ill have Ymir at low S Tier for me , the fact that you can edge recover most times is crazy especially when your vulnerability is Past 100 and also his wall has multiple uses , Block ULTS , gives you space , stops your team mates from going out ( if timed right ) and his air time is crazy long for a big guy
Honestly i think athena is in D tier. The problem is her basic abilities are just not what you want for a game like this. The arrow is a nice tool, high skill, decent damage and knockback, but you gotta predict them to land it, and the on the ground part is kinda useless, its ok, but not amazing. The idea of a counter is good, have to really predict the enemy but its great when you land it…but the problem here is the number of moves you have that are unique to you is very small. You have your mostly standardized movement ability, 2 standard abilities and an ultimate. And counters already are such a heavy burden if you have so few things to choose from, in something like smash its fine, you have 5 specials 5 aerials 3 smash attacks 3 tilts grabs, all that stuff. Having a counter somewhere in all of that is great to have! But here you just cant fit that into your kit without sacrificing so much of what youre able to do, combine that with a fairly low damage projectile that also requires some predicting and a lot of skill? She just doesnt do that much in damage, and the only way she kills is with an arrow while theyre well offstage or with her ult. She basically never kills if theyre on stage. Add to that her heavy attack is the laggiest in the game and is incredibly punishable, shes just not good at all. High survivability but low damage and even lower kill potential. Ymir id put in B not A, his wall is useless and his frost breath takes too long and is easily dodged, and most characters movement abilities can help them dodge his ult, only really sol and ymir himself cant do that, and to a lesser extent ama. Hes a solid mid tier at best. Iza id put in C tier, shes supposed to be a serious threat, but she struggles to kill. Her jump doesnt do much, the invisibility doesnt help much, low damage, low tier movement ability. Her sickle isnt that good, no real knockback, middling damage, doesnt combo, just meh. Her dash ability is good overall, her main way to kill, great damage…but its super easy to punish if you miss. High risk high reward. Her ult is slow and only decent overall, helps her kill but only if you hit, which isnt the easiest thing when its super slow, very telegraphed, only really useful in king of the hill or coin blitz where theres and area you need to be in for the objective. Outside of that her ult is quite low tier. As for thanny, i will say, he is my favorite, but he is situationally good. He’s my most played character and i can tell you, the game mode you play in and what characters you play against heavily change how good he can do. In 3v3 with him every single game ive played with him ive gotten double digit kills, with ease. My highest so far is 19 kills in one match. He is insanely good in 3v3 and often who youre against matters the least. But then you go to 2v2, he gets quite a bit weaker. If youre playing against serious close range threats like ama or susano, its really hard to deal with them as thanny, and youll be getting less help from your teammate overall since theyve got their own person to fight, so you end up doing less overall and hes more easy to threaten, but he can still do very well here, ive managed to get multiple 6/0/0 games here winning 3/0, and once in a 3/2 game i got the maximum kills possible here of 8. Hes still good, but he starts slipping. Then you go down to 1v1 and dear god hes awful! The severe lack of defensive tools, the self damage, his low mobility, they all get quite overwhelming here. Its so hard to deal with most of the roster down here, his glaring downsides get to be way too much, and in 1v1s i would say hes a D tier pick, only pick him if youre extremely good with him and quite shit at the others. Hes EXTREMELY volatile as a character.
the only buff sol needs is a slight damage buff to her projectile, speed up her ult by .5 seconds, and allow a scorch mechanic that damages over time when hit with the projectile.
I've been destroying as Sol lol so far only one lost game 2-3 been MVP in every game and I find it pretty easy to beat any other god so far and her ultimate I find to be easy to hit especially if you use it at the right time get triple KOs with her ultimate pretty often haven't fought thanatos yet but fought every other god even amaterasu is fairly easy to beat. I'm also basically never in the back of the team fight unless I have crown in oddball. Perhaps things will change as I play more games but so far I like Sol but if the devs feel like buffing her I'll take it lol
Agreed. I just started playing the game today, immediately picked Sol due to my love of fire, and after a bit of practice I consistently get mid to high kill games with her in 3v3 (haven't tried the other modes yet)
Honestly all the characters are really good depends what game mod your playing too but King Arthur is my main currently just for the team play and over all amazing kit he has
I hope you read this. Sol is absolutely remarkable and busted in trios. Thor is so busted in solos. king Arthur is well rounded. amazing in duos. I guess it's very hard to gauge... depends on how and what you use each character for
Honestly I think Izanami is S tier for basically the same reasons Amaterasu is. Izanami attacks so fast and all her skills combo into those attacks instantly. If Izanami is good at all you really get combo locked to the point where you get KO'd before you can touch a button.
Eh I think she belongs in A just because ama can do what she does better I might be biased because I think ama is the best character in the game and I hate fighting against them more than izzy
As a player that uses Amaterasu as a main... I ended up using my unlock for Susano and I absolutely love his play style. Definitely in 2v2s. But one duo that I lose to more than others is Thanatos and Amaterasu. Still an overall great game with HUGE potential. Great content my guy. Easily earned subscriber here. I’m getting destroyed in this game by the high ranks. It’s like their cooldowns are always up. It’s insane. Most likely they are pc players hacking. it’s so bad. The ranking system is horrible in this game.

I would put Susano right there in A or S tbh, especially in a 1v1 scenario. The amount of pressure he can continuously apply is insane, and is actually something acknowledged in the last patch notes too. Thanatos while amazing at 3v3 and 2v2 isn't great for 1v1.
i like the video format but as someone with many hours on the game i gotta say a few things no, knockback doesnt remove the oddball, damage does susano is one of if not the best character in the game, especially in modes like oddball where you can just run away and become u targetable. He is very overbalanced herc and susano and ama are the best characters in the game for several reasons
Yeah after playing a while I already think I way overrated Thanatos and underrated Susano. I think I would swap their placements on the tier list around and be a lot happier with it. Thanks for the heads up about knockback though!
@@NosyBoy I think herc is probably the best character next to susano, but the ult doesnt always work as intended. Its supposed to have full immunity but it keeps gettinf canceled for some reason, likely due to a bug
I've only played Sol and I have only lost to what felt like premades so far, I can count on one hand the amount of losses I've had after over 30 matches. Ik its all opinions and such but I feel like she's busted comparatively, I more often than not end matches with the highest kills in the game. Idk if it's matchmaking or this game just clicks with me and Id be decent playing whoever but with the data given I personally feel she's strong. The chasing heavy is so nice
6:46 you can also bait people with the wall. Example: you put wall down person walks towards wall or try’s to jump over wall you disable your wall and attack them. Free damage
This was definitely the best game on ps play. I would have never played it if it wasn’t on it. I think it might go free to play when season 1 launches, but still
Aye Iama Ama main alot of the reason is cause she's my main in smite. But don't froget she A LOT of mobility and her air combo game is insane. If she 3 knocks you up and air combo spike while you near the edge of the map you just die.
If you have a combined level 10 between all of your characters, you get a character token. You get the same thing at combined 30, so you can get Than/Iza for free
I disagree with susanoo being b His kit makes it possible for him to knock out any god with them being 30% hp, hes also really hard to knockout due to his ability’s, his strikes are also very quick faster than any character in game This is my experience facing susanoo players
I play solo A LOT as a Susanoo and I think I’m pretty good player all around but the only person that usually beats me / counters susanoo is izanami but she is very annoying overall imo too op
Started the game completely blind, right into 3v3, no practice. First two games I ever played I was Thor, won both and got the most KOs out of my and the enemy team. I don't even play smash games and I murdered with Thor, I think you may need to mess with him a bit more. Edit: 3 games, 3 and 0, Thor, top KOs
Since DKO is a brawler, and I assume they're going to be bringing some gods from Smite into DKO, I wonder how they'll implement gods with range attacks, such as the makes and hunters
Idk how good he is because i'm not very good at fighting games in general, but Hercules is definitely the most fun to play out of the free heros for me, his kit just makes sense
@@zen6529 I've got him to 8 or 9 and I've had people in 3v3 s either king of the hill or oddball run from me but he can hit hard close good distances! He does have a draw back of a slower swing but thats due to his damage output
I main Athena. Great character once you get the hang of her strongest abilities. I usually carry games with most kills, assists, and least deaths. Just started playing yesterday, and I only lost once because I fought one of those tryhard stacks where all the player's gods were LVL 14 and up, and just stacking to win games because they thought they were actually good. Cheapest play style I've seen so far, but yeah, aside from that, I haven't lost yet in a normal 3v3 where all strangers met in a FAIR fight without coward tactics and such. Athena should be S tier honestly. I'm so hard to knockout, and so good at crowd control that it's really hard to ignore how great she is.

Honestly this game can definitely blow up. If they add team comms, hot mics, or if you’re able to talk to the other teams in between rounds giving it that “call of duty” feel, this game could take off.

When low tiers get there moves canceled vs high tiers who just get to use your abilities for free there's definitely a disparity

Funny, I played sol my first game and loved her. Popped off with 36 elims.
She's fun (I'll play her from time to time), but I think she struggles in ways that the other characters just don't.

Bro, I just pulled off 38 KOs in a match with Sol. I think it just comes down to how you use her. 🤷♂️

Susano is cracked for 1v1's though, completely outshines both Thanatos and Amaterasu IMO.

If you level up a character to 10 you get a free God token
If you have a combined level 10 between all of your characters, you get a character token. You get the same thing at combined 30, so you can get Than/Iza for free

His kit makes it possible for him to knock out any god with them being 30% hp, hes also really hard to knockout due to his ability’s, his strikes are also very quick faster than any character in game

I play solo A LOT as a Susanoo and I think I’m pretty good player all around but the only person that usually beats me / counters susanoo is izanami but she is very annoying overall imo too op

Started the game completely blind, right into 3v3, no practice. First two games I ever played I was Thor, won both and got the most KOs out of my and the enemy team.
I don't even play smash games and I murdered with Thor, I think you may need to mess with him a bit more.

I'm doing pretty well as Hercules! But I have found myself being defenless. But my knockback helps!
Idk how good he is because i'm not very good at fighting games in general, but Hercules is definitely the most fun to play out of the free heros for me, his kit just makes sense
@@zen6529 I've got him to 8 or 9 and I've had people in 3v3 s either king of the hill or oddball run from me but he can hit hard close good distances! He does have a draw back of a slower swing but thats due to his damage output
I’m a level 16 Hercules he’s def one of my favorites as he’s a great finisher

I main Athena. Great character once you get the hang of her strongest abilities. I usually carry games with most kills, assists, and least deaths. Just started playing yesterday, and I only lost once because I fought one of those tryhard stacks where all the player's gods were LVL 14 and up, and just stacking to win games because they thought they were actually good. Cheapest play style I've seen so far, but yeah, aside from that, I haven't lost yet in a normal 3v3 where all strangers met in a FAIR fight without coward tactics and such. Athena should be S tier honestly. I'm so hard to knockout, and so good at crowd control that it's really hard to ignore how great she is.

Honestly this game can definitely blow up. If they add team comms, hot mics, or if you’re able to talk to the other teams in between rounds giving it that “call of duty” feel, this game could take off.
