Magic Wand: Hire someone who is 2nd in command in a franchise that is good (LAD, TBR, HOU, ATL, etc) and let them do whatever they want.
Unfortunately Jerry will never hire the best person for the job: someone from a well run organization who knows what they are doing. Because Jerry wants to be involved in baseball decisions like player acquisitions and trades. Just like he was when Kenny and Hahn were here. Just like he’s able to do with Getz. Another respected outside baseball exec would want complete control and Jerry just won’t ever go for it. We have to wait until he’s dead
They would have to want to work tor the Sox. You can only get people like Getz.

Bridgeport is very nice and quiet. It is very safe around The Rate and a very nice ballpark. Phil's is right down the road and there are taverns. I'm definitely more of a Southside guy than the congested Northside. There is light at the end of the tunnel, Sox got a real good arms farm. They got some chips not named Crochet and Robert to stock the position farm more. Southside for eternity, let's get this re-tool rolling!
Pitching and catching are the biggest strengths in the Wsox farm.
Chicago Baseball sucks period, both sides of town are a 🤡show. Both of those teams reside in the biggest market in the Midwest and a top five market nationwide, neither team should act like they’re small market but yet both act small market. When they say they have spent money, yes they have spent money….on mediocre role players not on superstars. Neither team has a true superstar and that’s unacceptable in the city of Chicago.

So many myths in baseball. Bad teams trade today for tomorrow and still stay as bad teams. Prospect rankings are a myth. There's a lot of foolish beliefs in the business of baseball were the results are slim to none.

@@ItsDirtyCurtyI slightly disagree with the last sentence. They have a lot of near ready prospects. Wsox aren’t in the same situation back in 2017. Unlike 2017, they have depth and or a deeper system which could help them sooner rather than later.

I don’t think that’s his strategy. He plays prospects, spends on mid-tier FA. He’s willing to spend on hitters not pitchers ever since he’s been the owner.
