Same here plus I never thought it a good idea to glow in the dark...makes a perfect target for a potential good marksman. HK intentionally designed the gun to have combat sights plus these sights as many have already found it does not align correctly on the slide and finding zero is not only difficult to acquire but takes away the natural target acquisition that was made easy using the manufactured sights which could very well mean your life is about to end. There are night sights out there that are identical to the manufactured sights but I have only been able to get them through the Military department at HK. I have never had to use night sights on my side arm and will stick to what has kept me above ground. The luminous (non-radioactive) contrast points sights really don't go totally dark after they have been charged at least mine doesn't even with zero moon light. IMHO
Question. I had these sights installed on my HK p30 with the orange/red front post. After installing them I notice that it shoots very very high even when I bench rest the pistol. I have the same sights in my p30sk and it’s POA POI. Any suggestions?
Any problems with the taller angled rear when carrying? Digging into your skin etc? Does the increased height affect POI? My P30 with standard glow (non tritium) sights hits perfectly behind the front dot...the HDs should be the same? Debating between these or the TFX. I prefer the HDs but the height has me a little concerned.
@@ChadThundersneed I do! Still my main carry. Got the Trijicon HDs and theyre perfect. I havent babied it so it shows its age and wear, but I think HKs wear in nicely. I love this P30. One of the loaded mags, my wife left in the glovebox while I was deployed, and the heat of Carolina summer softened the plastic baseblate enough that it popped off and spit all the rounds out, and broke that little lip off the baseplate. But thats literally the only problem I've had with it. If you can even call it that.
@@MattH-wg7ou Hah! That's amazing it's held up all this time. Have you considered the Grey guns SRT and flat trigger system? Or maybe sending it to Langdon for a Trigger job? Iirc it's like 2-300 bucks and you can go all the way down to a 3.5 pound LEM trigger.
@@ChadThundersneed I have considered it, I have some GGI parts in my Sig 226 Mk25 and their stuff is absolutely top notch! I have a bunch of upgraded springs (lighter FPB spring, Wolff lighter mainspring, the stronger reset spring, nickel coated leaf spring, etc) and stuff in my P30. The lighter FPB spring did the most. After thousands of rounds and dry fires and years of use the trigger is MUCH better now, but still nowhere near my Sig. I have the v3 DA/SA with decocker and no safety. That Sig with SRT, GGI stuff, GGI Solid trigger with under and overtravel stops, springs etc is crazy good though. The reset is SO short/quick. But I'm personally not a big fan of flat triggers.
These sights are horrible on the USP. I have them on my full size 45 and they are not spec'd correctly.. I have to aim 3 inches high to hit anything at 25/15 yds. Ordered meprolight sights and going to sell mine, if anyone is interested send me a msg. The USP uses the same model sight at a few other H&K and may work better on them.

is that a half moon hold, 6 O'clock or a front sight cover the target hold like most hk pistols
