FFS, I literally cannot find a SINGLE consistent content creator with a mk2 TT-RS. Every single video I’ve found of these is a review, and they’re so rare that I can’t find any for sale near me.
Ahh im sorry to hear bud... i had this car for over a month if i knew there was a demand i would have made more content on it.. have you seen through my videos as ive got around 3/4 videos of this car?
keep searching. i bought mine mid 2020 from the guy who bought it from the person i was going to buy it from 6 months earlier. Manual 8J with no mods, 53,000 kms on it. his partner made him sell it due to covid and they had to move to sydney from melbourne for work etc. my mk6 golf r is going up for sale in a few weeks. going to try and get ethereum bitcoin solana for it instead of cash.
@@tma78 Yeah, that's the plan. There was a Sepang blue one for sale recently that I almost bought, but I had to hesitate for a bit and it sold during that time.
Started looking into these. Anything to look out for on them? Seen one for sale for a bargain price which looks to have been well cared for by the previous owner which is a must. Just nervous parting over 10k for something 😂
Still love the TTRS. Bro I installed an Sony Entertainment Center with a new sound system and ability to connect an iPhone so you got all Apple stuff on the screen…
6:41 no passenger eats, drinks or smokes in my car. i only drink it in if the drive is long enough. seriously not worth the hassle of cleaning shit up if someone spills their drink.
from a co ttrs 8j owner running the same power, i totally agree, best bank for buck car in the 15k region and with a stage 2 tune your on par with m class other rs class and some good porshes. my best 0 to 60 in my manuel was a 3.7 and my best 0 to 100 was 8,9. thats faste than a v8 r8 and on par with a mk2 r8 in a small tt package for a 6th of the price
I'm about to make an offer to the owner of an Audi TT RS from 2010 with 100.000 km on the odometer. But I'm a little worried that a lot of major things will soon need replacing on the car (since it's old and has considerable mileage). May I ask what is your experience with regards to reliability and service cost?
@@IamMagPie hello, as far as I know these cars are VERY reliable. I never had a single problem with the car other than service. If you always do the suggested service there isn‘t anything that could go wrong.
@@IamMagPie and honestly by then you’d hope any major issues(engine and transmission) would probably have happened by now... careful shifting into 3rd, do your maintenance and everything I’ve heard and researched these things are solid.
Bro...I own one of these, in white no less. I’ve never once thought “I wish there were more cup holders...” Apple car play?? Buy a damn $300-400 aftermarket stereo, or a $20 FM receiver. Problem fixed. Please stop making comparisons between a TT RS and a damn golf r 😂. Not even the same class of car. Golf R is like on par with an S3 hatchback. Also if you want a “driver focused TT RS” you’d buy an 8J for sure, however you’d get the manual even tho you lose launch and the ever trashy “pops n bangs tune” ability. Keep the vids coming!
Haha did you daily drive yours? As I mentioned its not the end of the world when its a weekend car.... Yeah fair play put a aftermarket radio in thats what i would have done too however the owner never bothered 😕 Golf R and TTRS are different cars absolutely 😂 but i was giving my opinion on it as the Golf R was my car and considering you could buy a GOLF R for the same money as the TTRS used i felt like it was a good comparison maybeee? Thanks bro I appreciate it and the subscribe 💪🏼
I've just sold my 2016 RS3 as I'd like a slightly cheaper daily driver and occasional track weapon. Can't decide on one of these or a newer TTS with the digital dash. I think it's the tech that I would miss. I get what you're saying about it being a drivers car but sometimes it's just nice to cruise and have the creature comforts..
The water pump, alternator and many other components are easier to find and get to on the TTRS therefore quicker and less expensive to work on. It's worth the extra cost. No mechatronic gear box or dual clutch in the US versions thankfully.
Not many TTRS or TTs on the road at all from what I’ve noticed.I own a TTs mk2 8J REVO stage one 333bhp 450 NM which is basically the power of a stock TT RS.Has a digital dash and has a sat nav system but these cars are all about the driving experience not technology 😊👍🏎💨 You can upgrade to apple car play if you need it but me coming from being a boy racer in the 90s it really doesn’t bother me at all 👍

You can put bottles of drink in the side pockets and you can easily upgrade the stereo to something aftermarket with Apple car play job done 😁😁
Love this shape TTRS
Yeah it is LIT
Good review! Sounds awesome
Thanks G

You have 2 cup holders in the centre and you can take small people or teenagers in short trips no problem
It's a really good looking car and better than a Golf hatchback

How did you get the digital dash in??? 😱
Uncomfortable seats, squeaks and rattles, no rear wiper, fuel range. Everything else is good or very good.
