    Being a new builder, research is the key and doing a lot of it. Living in New Zealand and therefore the other side of the world it is often easier to go direct to China. Having said that, congrats on your channel. I often find the USA is way ahead of everyone else but I find a lot of youtube channels dribble on incessantly about themselves, whereas you guy rock with no-nonsense factual to the point builds without the drawn out commentary. Very well done and encourage you to keep up the good work.

    I've the 4.20 plus and it work perfectly for a dual 5065 150kv motors they are rated 34 amp max each, the 4.20 plus is rated @ 50 amp continuous x motor. So more than enough, very happy with this vesc smooth acceleration and strong brakes plus much less noise from the motors, more efficient and more speed too. Enjoy Flipsky best value vesc right now!

    Flipsky FSESC 6.6 failed around 3 months. Seemed great until the "capacitors" swoll and stopped giving constant current. Try legit VESC 6 mkiii, I wish I grabbed that BEFORE 4 days of troubleshooting my FSESC...word from the wise.

    Do you know how to bridge power switch on flipsky 6.7 plus?

  • @orlandomarinjr
    @orlandomarinjr 2 роки тому

    I'm having a problem with mine. After updating to latest firmware ( I shouldn't have). When I turn the board off and back on the VESC looses all it's settings. Like I have to run the VESC tool set up again but then after shutting down it looses everything every time. Have you guys ever seen that?

    Hey the jump cable for the power switch can you give some more detail on how you did it?

  • @Zomby_Woof
    @Zomby_Woof 3 роки тому

    To jumper the pins on the switch, you can grab a jumper off any dead motherboard or electronic device. It looks like you're jumpering adjacent pins, so a 2 pin jumper is what you want to grab. Clear_cmos is usually a 2 pin jumper.
    It's just a jumper block withoiut having the dangly wire.

      what i did was use the switch connector cut it with extra wires left and short the red and white wires.

    you can get a after market car remote to turn on and off instead of having the on/off button on your skate board this way no1 can turn it on but you and if you pass 20A on your battery the 4mm bullet connectors can cause a meltdown so add a shink tube over the connection but dont heat it up ,because it will give you extra safety and a hint that it gets real hot there , i use over 30A and have to use 6mm to handle the current , 808 gone

    So I have a unique question. I’m a little person and use a powered wheelchair for long distances. I only weigh 55lbs. I have a car, I don’t drive a van or suv. I don’t want to have to use a 200 lb wheelchair and 300 lb lift on a larger vehicle. I want to build myself a small lightweight wheelchair that I can easily set in my floorboard. I have a set of BLDC hoverboard motors. My original plan was to use a modded hoverboard motherboard with an arduino to drive the motors using a joystick as input. I love the features I see in the flip sky like regenerative braking. But all the setups I see are skateboards. Is it possible, or easy to use the 6.6+ to drive 2 BLDCs side by side in differential steering mode?

    • @DIYesk8Builders
      @DIYesk8Builders  3 роки тому +1

      Hi, so that is a very interesting question. I personally have no experience with that so I have no idea how that would work. I know for sure that you could use two different vesc's, each with a different input like a throttle, but I'm not sure about the differential steering mode. There may be something on the esk8 forums, or another source would be directly asking Ben Vedder or anyone that works on VESC's a lot!

    When you are surprised your Flipsky didn't cut out... I agree, time to celebrate :D THey have always been crap and hard to believe they would all of a sudden change their approach. Never Flipsky. Your positive review was based on size (says nothing), power and not cutting out... What were the temps after what time with what power? Did you put at least a 1000 km on them? That's not a review, that's an amateurs opinion on something he doesn't really understand. No offense. None of the reviewers do...

      We have clearly just had very different experiences with these VESC's. I've used unity's, FOC box singles, TB VESC, Boundmotor ESC, Regular 6.6, 6.6 mini, and from all that experience my favorite has been this one. Now you may not agree, but for me and what I use my board for, I've loved this VESC. Maybe after 1000km I'll be saying something different but for now and the past few months everything is just how I like it.
