I am actually jealous I think everyone would wish to hear this song for the first time again.
I get it. My mind was blown. Never the same; this turned a musical page for me at 20 ish
Watching this reaction kinda felt like it WAS the first time... 🤘🏽
Everyone has heard this song. Get over it.
@@FOT2010 well, apparently not.
I feel like I am through him. Can you imagine when we were in our bedrooms having the same reaction that one day you'd be able to broadcast it?
Everyone in the 90s had this dude's same reaction hearing this song for the first time. The years may change but the reactions don't. The song is timeless.
The Mark Craig I remember the first time I heard it, on mtv. I stopped what I was doing and stared at the screen, probably with my mouth open.
@@jolinachavez5930 absolutely!
I'm a 57-yr-old white suburban grandma, who's heard this song hundreds of times, and I still reacted right along with this kid, banging my head and singing along, and feeling it in my BONES.
@@Twofrogs2 59 year white lady same, same, SAME. If you can hear this and not feel hyped you are dead inside, right?
@@Twofrogs2 Grandma here too. Heard this in my 30's. Stunning. Such great lyrics. I thought I was a poet and then... It's in my car's CD player right now. You can buy all this great music at Walmart for five bucks LOL
I'm 53 black female soul girl at heart. I remember 1st hearing this. Me and my boyfriend at the time, sat on the edge of his bed. Mouths open, wide eyed in shock! We'd never heard or seen anything like it...! When it finished there was a silence... we looked at each other and said...
WHAT THE F¥CK WAS THAT!!! Its not that we hated it, Great Music is Great Music! It was just so unlike anything else... hope that makes sense.😬
Jf bravo love ya....joe
I remember hearing it for the first time. I was 17. It was like a breathe of fresh air. Music was taking a sharp left turn. Kurt Cobain was a voice of the generation.
Reminds me of the first time I heard Hypnotize by biggie smalls. A white man who only listened to rock and roll I was blown away. It was crazy.
@@AnthonyAsher74 05’ here! heard this for the first time a few months ago. amazed . i am truly born in the wrong generation.
I feel you, I was in my early 30s when my daughter and niece fell in love with this song. They listened to it so much I ended up being exposed to Nirvana. For Christmas that year I gave them each a cassette tape of Nirvana, one was In Utero. I don't remember the other. Best investment ever.
I love how he’s so into it. Makes me feel like I’m hearing the song for the first time.
Yeah almost too into it.. like it's fake lmao
As a Gen X'er, it gives me so much happiness to see someone so young enjoying this so much! This was a generational anthem for us.
My 16 year old hates my 90s Grunge Industrial etc lol she said it is horrible noise! How can she be mine ? Lol I'm mom so no paternity needed 🤣 Hey at least she loves Linkin Park wheeeew
Amen
@@Krae75 I love how he talks about how hyped up he felt while listening to it. It still works for me almost 30 years later! Even though I'm just a mom in my 40s.
As a boomer I love this. Loved it in the 90s and love it now.
When did we become the old people?! 🤣
"We need songs like this" is the realest thing I've heard on UA-cam in years.
just wait until he reacts to Rage Against The Machine omg
Yes we need more
Then you have not been looking. Branch out of your mindset and you would have been finding that for years. I'm 49 and can say that there are hundreds of not thousands of songs like this. They normally find me but UA-cam finds more for me because it's what I like and what I have searched out. It's more likely that you have been finding what you have been looking for most popping up and it just doesn't match with progress and/or mind opening.
@@prokinnetforce88191 there isn't!! They actually refuse to play it in nightclubs where I live cos it gets people so riled up!
@@prokinnetforce88191 repeat what you said....nothing like this at all bro! I was at a party when I first heard this and the whole party got mad cause I hit repeat like 20 times because this song gave me the feels probably like no other tune ever.Maybe Still of the Night...maybe
He’s feeling what I felt when I was 14 years old. Thrilling to watch and remember that musical high.
"we NEED songs like this"- truer words have never been said.
I feel like we need them now more than ever...there's a real drought and it's been going on a long while now.
@@Corn_Pone_Flicks what's your definition of "songs like that"? What are the parameters? What are other songs in history that you feel meet these parameters? Because I can't figure out why the drought.
I was at the show in the tiny little club when Nirvana played this live for the first time. The room literally exploded when the guitar kicked in. I have never experienced anything like it. Maybe 100 people all losing their minds at the same time. Afterwards we all just looked at each other and said "they are going to be huge..."
You must be talking about the O.K. Hotel!!
@@jtoland2333 Yep!
@@strangelo I envy you so much! I almost rented an art studio there. They still have the old elevator and switchboard.
Wow. Kudos.
Angel O'Leary What a memory. Amazing.
Watching him react to this is the most pure yet incredible thing ive seen in so long. It brings me such joy
I completely agree with you.
What... what is this SORCERY!?
Minute 2:26. That face. Priceless. hahaha
100% agree.
It made me so happy!
“We NEED songs like this...” you ain’t lyin’ son.
So here I am in my mid-40's realizing that I've been singing the wrong lyrics for 30 years. I thought I knew what they were saying, but apparently not.
The good thing about that is that it barely makes a difference for this song
Lol ya'll are breaking my heart!! As I read the comments and realise the first time I heard it.... I'M OLD!!! NOW GET OFF MY LAWN!!
-OWLIA
I had the wrong words too... decided I will keep 'em! I was 20 when this came out. My 13 yo likes it. I would like to think Kurt would appreciate this review. Music doesn't have an age.
That's the Nirvana mood tbh. I have a friend who sings it "my burrito" every time.
I also found that out, a few years ago, but still. Me too lol
Being a young, black hip-hop chick in the 90s, when this came out, this was a game changing BANGER! EVERYBODY loved this song! This and Heart Shaped Box were my shit!!! Back when MTV played music all day.
The good days of MTV!
I miss actually seeing music videos on MTV!!! Instead of all of the reality shows. Complete rubbish now.
Can you imagine if they were to bring back the real MTV?
me too🤗🤗🤗
Good old days
Just learned all the words to this, after listening since 1991 lol
beans1030 “A mosquito, my libido??”
I learned the words from the Tori Amos cover.
Will whatever nevermind.........
Right? I was in h.s. in the 90s and this was EVERYWHERE. I remember where I was when news broke Kurt died. And then seeing the lyrics for the first time today? How did I not know them?
I can't remember which show it was on MTV, but they'd play the video with the lyrics. That's where I learned them. I miss when MTV wasn't trash.
"If y'all didn't get hype for this song I don't know what's wrong with you" 😂👏👏👏💯
As soon as he started saying that I was starting to read this comment wtf
This song is a mind blower, a face melter, and one of my favorites. It came out right at the beginning of my senior year of high school. The song single-handledly ushered in a new genre of music, and ended the careers of a lot of pop music artists that were big at the time. The teenagers started dressing like Kurt Cobain, with thrift store clothes and they dyed their hair crazy colors. What a time. It's hard to believe that was almost 30 years ago. RIP Kurt, one of the greatest.
This song summed me up. I was poor and angry. Finally someone gets it. I FN hate this bullshit world. I'm ok now. lol
Nothing makes me happier than watching someone have a near religious experience to listening to Kurt Cobain’s irreplaceable voice for the first time!
Yesssss! His horizons broadened before our very eyes ❤❤
It's an important portal...
You just listened to the birth of a whole new music genre, Seattle Grunge.
"Grunge" had been around for at least 5 years at this point...this was the beginning of the dominance of post punk rock and end of hair metal
@@antipyrene nirvana invented grunge
@@jennymcdowell1684 Um no en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melvins
@@jennymcdowell1684 lol
@@jennymcdowell1684 Kurt himself called Neil Young the grandfather of grunge, did he not? Anyhow, it's an unofficial title of Neil Young. A Canadian, btw. 😉🇨🇦✌
:D The way he kept talking about how much energy he had after listening - that's how 90s mosh pits started - we couldn't contain ourselves!
We need to make sure all our young people get to hear Nirvana! I grew up in Redmond, WA right outside Seattle in the 90s and I got to hear them live long before anyone knew who they were. It's still one of my most cherished memories.
One of the most influential rock songs of all time. That song shifted pop culture in the 90s. Loved seeing you hear it for the first time
The world changed in 1991/1992. “Grunge” was an earth-shattering shift that brought Gen-X together, regardless of race, color, or creed.
Gen Xer here I'm 48 now and I still love the crap out of this song
I got married in 92 ,28 years ago!
also micheal jordan, everything rlly went downhill after the 90s lmao
I love watching these young people discovering the old great songs. Gives me chills, so blessed to grow up with this music
This song and Nirvana turned the music industry on its head.
Facts,he got me in to music like this,I was always in to hip hop,an when this came out i loved it rite away R.I.P. KURT COBAIN
I was obsessed with Kurt Cobain. After he died I visited his house which had hedges almost as high as a street lamp. I was determined to get close so I walked up the driveway to get a glimpse of it through the gate. The nanny saw me and yelled at me to get me off the property. I snapped a picture of him as he gave me the finger. I think there may have been a dog running toward the gate as well. I was a bit scared but after travelling by car and bus from Canada I had to pay tribute.
This song changed the whole music industry.
Yeh, and then the whole industry went to hell.
@@prschuster lol
The song and the album just came shooting out like a cannonball, destroying everything in its path. The message was that the 80s, and the superficiality and artifice of that era, were over.
@@davidsimone3785 Yep. Cannonball was a great tune too.
@@davidsimone3785 Ok Boomer
BEST REACTION I'VE SEEN, other than Kids React To Nirvana lol... you got it sooo right, & us generation X youngans of the 90's can attest to how our worlds exploded, no matter where we were in the world, when we first heard this!! it was intense. it bull-dozed those crusty hair rockers with nothing intelligent to say to us, right off the radar. it was the most beautiful moment in millions of our lives, i can't even tell you!! Kurt Cobain was fragile & deep, & couldn't take the burdens of life, but he'll never be forgotten for speaking up for us, where it was desperately needed, with inclusive empathy, in a severely corrupt world. He was a Hero!! X
Like the song Starry Starry Night about Vincent Vangouh, the lyrics say, this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you! Right on with Kurt!
@@jill8037 ❤♾🙏👍🏼

I just witnessed pure joy!!!
We were all totally mesmerised when as young teens we saw and heard this song on TV for the first time. Our parents freaked! What great music Nirvana produced. They changed the face of music in the 90’s.
I can’t listen to this song without being immediately teleported back to being 14 at school, listening to this on my Walkman.
Wait, are you Thom from alt-J?!
Dude, Nirvana and Walkmans...bringing me back to the 90s. I was eight when this came out but I have six older siblings and I shared a room with my sister, who was about 16 at the time. There was some damn good music in the 90s, at least until boy bands hit.
Making us feel old 😂 great times
Haha spot on!
I automatically smell the halls of my old hs when I hear this song.
I just watched this video 6 times, and then I re-rewound the part where he just hears Kurt’s voice for the 1st time another 5-6 times. Then I showed it to my husband, and we talked about how we felt the 1st time we heard it. Married 15 years and I think we just got even closer because of a UA-cam video. Music does that to you. Sharing wonder does that to you. Thanks for this video! Now I’m going to be obsessed with all your videos!
Yea that shit slap hard
🥰😭
Yo, that so sweet
U just made me rewatch it too😁
I was a 43 year old with two young sons when this came out. But from the first notes, I was like, WOW! Timeless .
This was the first time I ever felt like someone understood me, the very first time I heard it I was blown away. I felt like I finally belonged.
Your reaction was amazing.
I can't help but believe that Kurt Cobain would have appreciated this review.
This is what he wanted his music to do after he was gone. Mission complete
Thank you. Kurt would be so excited to see that what he set out to accomplish 30 yrs ago came true and that was to make music that would never be forgotten.
100
Hell yeah he would have loved this!
why... because of the terrible acting?
His look at the camera at 2:26. Like, why ain’t none of y’all told me about this before!
well..we're off by a second.. but on the same page exactly
Like where has this been all my life lol
Love that look on his face, like his life is now forever changed ❤
Right 😁🤣🤣🤣
This song and Even Flow literally redirected my entire life in terms of style, social life and freedom of spirit. It changed everything for a lot of people. It was that intense and I would go so far as to say it changed a generation.
FYI: The drummer is the lead singer for the Foo Fighters.
The drummer has a name... And thats Dave Grohl, show some respect
@@antonk932 ayo chill he was just saying but i agree Dave is king
aka Rock & Roll Satan in the movie "Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny"
Yup.. Dave grohl. Awesome artist
I always thought it was the drummer from Foo Fighters was the lead singer of Nirvana? 🧐
To this day I'll randomly enter a room and say "Here we are now. Entertain us."
Soon after hearing this song for the first time I walked into the living room where my younger sister was reading, took her book out of he hands, threw it on the floor, and when she looked up at me I said 'pay attention to me - - entertain me-- - She looked at me in shock. Made you want to rip the walls off - I love that. It still holds up so well
I’ve fallen in love with Nirvana pretty late but it’s amazing seeing the punk/grunge community connecting people from all around the world, no matter of age or race. (As you said)
😂
I was 18 when this came out and when I hear it now, I'm transported back to my youth. It was the anthem of my generation. I would suggest he watch the official video, it brings it to an entirely new level.
This song, born out of the grunge movement, changed the direction of music. The week before Michael Jackson was #1 on the top 40. Then suddenly this song was #1 and top 40 radio went from pop to rock. It also ended the popularity of heavy metal as bands went back to an organic sound.
Interesting insight! Thanks for sharing.
It's sucks we never get to hear our favourite songs for the first time ever again
BUT at least we can live vicariously through those reacting 😁🤷♀️

he was destined to die at 27 just like all the other greats
@@David-go4ot The 27 Club. It's true. Why I don't understand.

"Something in the Way"
"Lithium "
"In Bloom"
"All Apologies"

Same!! 😂😂
Same, also a bit sad dave Grohl doesn’t get a mention yet. Go to foo fighters or “tribute” tenacious d 😍
When Jay-Z met Chris Martin, he kept calling him Coldplay.
People have no idea how much on fire this lit the 90's teenagers...this was exactly the vibe needed at the time.
Here we are all these years later, I never knew the words!
Their drummer, Dave Grohl, is now the frontman for Foo Fighters.
Really?
Yep true story
Whoa. When did this happen
Assuming you guys are being sarcastic...I wasn't saying this for all of us watching this, I was telling TwinsthenewTrend, since he doesn't seem to know anything about Nirvana.
Foo fighters are awesome. Grohl is extremely intelligent and an all around cool dude
I LOVE the ones he doesn't pause and feels so hard. So cool to have a look in his mind and see what songs touch him.
You now need to listen to the whole of Nevermind and check out their other albums too. You also have to see their MTV Unplugged session, one of if not the best of all the Unplugged sessions ever. Ah, the good old days when MTV was truly a music channel.
Listened to the unplugged album at work yesterday, everyone had that album back in the 90's, lol
Watching him react to this is priceless. The wave of emotions! Serious high and low in the same song. Exhausting and exhilarating at the same time.
As hard as you just went off to this song, imagine being about 10 years old and all of a sudden this is just what’s on the radio. Blew our minds. And Dave Grohl is from my hometown, fun fact lol
Warren, Ohio 🙂
I was 14 when Nevermind came out. It affected me on a very deep level from day one & absolutely changed my life. So cool seeing young listeners getting into them...it’s like re-living those days all over again. 🙏🏻
@Antonio S Yes, but he started in Warren, Ohio until age 3 🙂
Mate, I love you. I love how you instantly get Nirvana. They are the best. No one has that energy. Great channel I love it man
Kurt was always so passionate you could hear it in his voice. I love Nirvana
I love his reaction here.... this just makes me smile. This song was my kids generation but it was one I could even get into. No words can explain it ... RIP Cobain.
I was 23 and 9 months pregnant and I thought holy fuck the punks have taken over
47 year old here...every time I hear this song I feel like a 15 year old and want to jump and scream !!!! Teen rebellion and tell to my old self to f... off!!!
You were 18 when it was released.
Try feeling the same way at 61! It never goes away!😊
😂🤣😄😄👍🏽💖
Exactly! 42 here and this song still gets me up jumping and smiling and thinking back to those days.
Kurt Cobain was a visionary. He was outspoken against racism and misogyny. Didn't subscribe to gender norms. Regularly kicked nazis out of his concerts and always stopped the show to boot guys harassing women in the audience. I wish he was still around today. Thank you for this video!
Did he really? Thank you. I NEVER new that. I was listening to mostly hip hop in those years and the kids that listened to them weren't like that. You gave me new respect for him. Thanks
@@jessicastraub1132 yeah a lot of grunge fans were not like him at all but he was extremely anti- racist. He was also an advocate for the guy community. On their album Incesticide he said something along the lines of: "If you're a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, we don't want you to buy our records."
All those notions already existed in the scene he was from. It's that they were slow to spread in the next decades that is significant.
It's ironic that as I was buying other CD's I otally discounted them(I Have a WIDE range of music I appreciate, hell I go from Sinatra,to NKOTB,Pac, Lincoln Park idk anything good) but I can't deal with hate but I judged them by thier fans. Its SO crazy that it took me ...30 years maybe? To find this out.
@@jessicastraub1132 you can buy a copy of his journal, they published it as a book. He was pretty far left in his politics. His essays are online too!
Cheers young man! It is a great song, a classic, that transcends all time lines!!! Glad you loved it!!!
Man what I would give to listen to this for the first time again
He had to take a rest from rockin out and gather himself 😂. The absolute beauty of music that it lives forever!! RIP Kurt 🙏🏾
You know how my generation felt when this dropped in 91/92. Music had become a bit formulaic and was dominated by pop and then this dropped out of nowhere. Once the music video dropped, it was a whole new game for music.
Would love to see another band hit the mainstream like this now.
Absolutely. This was such a departure from the previous phase of rock and roll. We had never heard anything like it before.
I was a senior in HS. Them and Pearl Jam took it to another level!!!
I was on the school bus when my buddy dave passed me his headphones and said 'You've got to hear this!' I swear, by the time the song was done my hair was 4 inches longer, and I was suddenly wearing a plaid flannel shirt.. It was an amazing time for music!
Billie Eilish is hitting like that now. She’s a huge departure from formula and studio methods. Even after sweeping all those awards, she is still allowed to make music in her bedroom at home with her older brother because no one wants to mess up their creative process.
@@leohnorah8259 That's awesome! Thank you for explaining why I keep hearing her name. Can you recommend a starter for me?
I was 12 when we lost Kurt. I was sobbing so hard I had to leave school after learning he was dead! I wore black for an entire month in mourning! I was a strange kid 😆 but have always been a die hard music fan! He touched my generation so deeply! So happy to have young men enjoying his genius!!
You would enjoy The Ramones. Listen to "I Want to Be Sedated" or "Sheena is a Punk Rocker.". They are influential for most alternative and New Wave bands.
Nirvana changed rock forever!
Jeff Young Truth!
I wish the change would've lasted longer :(
Rock went to shit after the 90s imo
Tricko Unfortunately, I can’t argue with that.
Jeff Young Had some help from AIC and SoundGarden. Not to mention TOOL, Pearl Jam, Mozart, Pink Floyd, and The Beastie Boys. They didn’t change Rock, they just co-started the realignment back to music and away from glam.
.... And the 80's hair metal fans are still pissed off!
Think of hair metal as the right wing and grunge as the progressive left wings.
Man, seriously. Do the whole Nevermind album. Nothing like it.
Heck yeah! No doubt!!
Pearl Jam next! Black. Alive, the whole album
in utero is better, my friend
Yes indeed.
I just turned 43 today this song is almost 30 years old I am so happy to see someone so young (yes I’m making myself sound even older 🤣🤣) get excited about finding Nirvana and their music. (Of course finding Dave Grohl in the process and therefore the Foo Fighters.)
For a change of pace try The Chemical Brothers or The Prodigy! Both huge bands of the 90’s and beyond in dance/ rave culture in Britain. Hey Boy, Hey Girl had a great video by chemical brothers and firestarter from the prodigy is iconic that jumper the look is legendary. Keith Flint is much missed in the music community.
"We need songs like this" Couldn't agree more with that sentiment. And it's especially true in todays day and and age. There's no new music with this kind of energy. Where the hell did all the energy disappear from music?
I can remember the first time I ever heard this song, I was 17 on the way to the water park with my girlfriend and she had it in the cd player, it was June of 2001. I can remember the skies opening as if angels were singing. I listened to it over and over and over for like 2 weeks after that. This is hands down the greatest song of all time the other 4 in the top 5 are debatable. Nothing has ever made me feel quite like that day, it was so nice to watch you have the same reaction.
Agree. One of those rare songs that sounded like nothing else ever written up to that time. Unique and still sounds fresh all these years later.
I had a similar experience aged 17 in 1991.
Yep remember exactly where i was when this hit.
If it's songs alone you've got to sneak a Beatle's, MJ's, B. B. King's & Soda Stero's and you got your top5
Same for me, 17 years old and I was like wowwwww!
Kurt Cobain. The man who saved Rock but couldn't save himself.
Facts. Also created a new sub-genre of grunge.
KC would've adored this young man's reaction
Yep.
Well put
How poignant!
This was a beautiful reaction. For those of us whose lives changed when the likes of Nirvana hit the airwaves, when it joined us all and gave us a voice, it so wonderful that youth of today can feel the same energy hearing this as we felt back then.
Amazing 30 years later and it still has the impact on youth it did the first time i heard it. R.I.P Kurt.
Man. This song blew up the world when it came out. Started a whole genre of music.
Fordy1Kanobi MTV mostly belonged to Nirvana even after April of 1994. Sadly, I don’t think MTV knows what music videos are these days.
True that!

This is the best reaction. Can see it’s emotional for you like it was for all of us the first time we heard it.
This made me so happy!!! I know others have mentioned it, but when this song came out, it was like an anthem for some of my friends and me. I love seeing your reaction and the joy it can still bring!!
"We need songs like this." Good lad. Speaking the truth. Welcome to my childhood. I was in 9th grade, so it hit perfectly. I don't think there will ever come a day when I don't miss Kurt.
My kids are your guys’ age and I am just loving watching your love and appreciation of music from all genres and time periods. You have a great ear for talent and to be so young and open to different expressions of music as an art is impressive. I see perhaps music production in your future or maybe professors of music appreciation . Whatever your path I know you’ll be successful. God bless. 🙏🏼
I love to see your pure reaction of hearing these songs for the first time.
I love it. I was a kid when grunge started this song was colossal when it came out and still is. Love it love your reactions!!! You bring so much joy!!!
This seems like one of your favs like fast car. You didn’t even stop the song.
This song was the anthem for my generation, hands down. (second half of Gen X years)
I couldn't agree more! ("Xennial" here, just sneaked in to Gen. X)
Me too!!!
Sometimes you gotta watch somebody else experience a song to gain a new or refreshed perspective. Obviously I’ve heard this song a couple hundred times but just now seeing him hear it I’m like holy crap what a chorus
I’ve never heard this before, I am not disappointed.
A couple of months ago I was teaching some 10/11 years olds (the unfortunate year group who had to go back to school before everyone else), and a train of thought lead to us watching the video for Smells Like Teen Spirit which they’d never heard of. One of the kids, who was one of the ‘less academic’ in the class, responded to it saying that the singer must’ve been quite confused having to deal with both sad and angry feelings because of how much those emotions were pouring out of him in this song! I was so pleasantly surprised that this kid was able to identify with something quite profound through music in a way he couldn’t in the ‘lessons’, and that is exactly how so many feel about Nirvana/Kurt Cobain/this song. Gives me chills!
This song, literally, changed the world overnight, seemingly!! I was in college when it happened.
HE IS EVERY PERSON EVER BORN HEARING THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!
I still get all of the goosebumps during the calmer bits and the energy during the rest. Used to play this whenever I felt nervous or unconfident and it would ground me but also light me up so I felt like I could take on anything!
LOVE this reaction. I had the privilege of seeing them LIVE!!!!! It was epic and a highlight of life. I will never forget the energy that surged through me as the crowd went f@¡king nuts.
Your genuine, heartfelt, beautiful smile is just the thing the world needed right now. Thank you.
That was my reaction at 11 years old. I was bouncing off the wall.
Bruh the wall was bouncing off me
Literally moshing in my living room
The feeling of hearing this song for the first time burns into your soul, beautiful stuff
You are truly a treat to watch! I love that you are giving all songs a chance.
"Teen Spirit" was a brand of deodorant his girlfriend used when he wrote this in the late 80's
yeah, was gonna say made more sense at the time, when the deodorant was around :)
Apparently, she actually spray painted "Kurt smells like Teen Spirit" on their bedroom wall and Kurt just thought it sounded cool.
@@cp8838 it wasn't his girlfriend who spray painted the wall it was actually kurts close friend who was the lead singer of a girl punk rock band
His friend wrote in his apartment “Kurt smells like teen spirit”
@@jennymcdowell1684 you're right, it was Kathleen Hanna of the band Bikini Kill. But, I do believe Kurt did borrow (use) some of that deodorant from his girlfriend at the time, so she was poking fun at her friend, Kurt
It’s such an objectively good song. The song feels like the emotions of a teenager: quiet and monotone that crescendos into unapologetic rage. Once that is out of the system, exhausted, reverts back to quiet and monotone. RIP, Kurt! Foo Fighters are great!
That smile when the chorus came is just contagious! Keep making us all smile with more vids!! I grew up on this stuff in junior high/high school, and seeing you rock out to it is awesome. Binge-watching you guys!
That’s a pure reaction, love to see it
Growing up in the Seattle and Aberdeen area in the 90's this song is everything. Flannel, combat boots and long stringy hair...those days don't come back *sigh*. Thanks for giving me a reason to smile and headbang today!
Kurt is a legend
Every time I hear this song my heart starts pounding so hard and I get butterflies in my stomach like I’m in love for the first time
its such a good song
I love this!!! This is taking me back to my teenage years, thank you!
