Hi, very informative video. I live in Norway, picked up a series 7 today, it’s on charge but will try I tomorrow. What I did notice is that here we got the full range of accessories with it as standard👍🏽. I had a Electrolux hand held before after 2 years, the run time has reduced quite significantly and unable to replace the batteries so entire vacuum has become redundant. The replaceable battery on this range was the selling point for me.
I just got my Bosch Unlimited Serie 7 ProAnimal... so far really happy. It is super quiet. I find on Auto most of the carpet area is done on eco and that is sufficient suction. Went over the carpet twice and got two full dustbins of dirt/dust and fluff. We only had a cheap vacc before and obviously didn't clean well! I noticed on hard floor the power increases, so I would imagne if you had mainly hard floor the battery life might be a bit less, however in our small 2 bed unit I had to vacuum 3 times to run battery flat to condition it the first time, turbo is much faster of course. I found once battery was completely flat and then to fully recharge, the lights didn't come on the charging station and I thought the battery was faulty, but after 30 mins there was some charge and then the indicator lights started up, so takes a little while from flat to start indicating. The little ratchet system on the filter is a bit awkward to turn, there is not much to grip and my mums arthritic hands can't do it, but a good bang on the railing outside does the trick too. Easy to clean. I would recommend cleaning the filter after every clean to keep suction up and avoid the risk of dust getting into the motor. Absolutely love the attachments, I purchased the draw cleanwr and the mattress brush too. Love the extension flexi hose, that will be great for awkward areas. Not sure about the long crevice nozzle yet, its narrow so things may get stuck in it but good for finer stuff. Pushes really easy over the carpet, ours is pure wool low pile loop carpet so air can get between. I have seen some videos on really fine plush carpets that its hard to push as the head gets a good grip, so developers could do with a relief hole like some other brands have. However no problems here. The bendy wand is really good for getting under beds without having to bend or squat, a little less control but serves its purpose... I like that it stands alone when the hand piece is in use so when you need to quickly take it off to use you don't have to worry about the rest of it falling. It doesnt stand alone with motor on, but leans easily. Weight is ok, like all stick vaccs they can get heavy in hand, but a lot lighter and more compact than Dyson. The dust bin is a little small and need to keep and eye on it, but this ensures I clean it after every vac, it was a trade off for me comparing other brands, I can put up with that for the rest of the pros... Bit disappointed the motorised head roller isn't removeable, I think in Serie 8 it is. But I was expecting tangles, I have long hair and have a cat, but so far not a speck on the roller - that is impressive (I haven't vaccummed my bedroom in a while as hate the little cheap corded stic vac we had ($20 at Supermarket) so was expecting lots of long hair on the roller and was amazed how clean it was. The pivot on the motorised head is really nice... I would like an onboard clip though for accessories. They have one for earlier models so will see if it fits or if I can adapt it. At the moment it isn't wall mounted, I just have the wall mount flat on the floor and the hand piece sitting on it, so doesn't take up much space, the rest just leaning in the corner next to it. Was thinking to get a small cupboard and it can just sit on that...(looks nice, almost looks like a red kettle sitting there like that). I dont like drilling into the wall. I will get a charger from hardware store so have the choice to stored it away and batteries charged separately. I was going to get a 6Amp battery rather than the 4 they provide - gives more power and time, but honestly I dont need to, I doubt I will even be using the second battery supplied. Nice compact hand piece, looks beautiful. All round very happy with this - and love the red and black look!
Thankyou. I’ve just bought one of these and assembled it but u found the instructions pretty awful and in any case I hate reading instructions. Finding this was so so helpful 🎉
I have just watched your video. Very helpful! Wondered what tips you give for getting close to edges of skirting and sofas. Is there a tool which helps as the main part doesn’t get close enough no matter how I try to guide it?
Brilliant video thank you. Brilliant vacuum too. Have a high shedding Golden retriever and does job better than anything else ever had. However, do you have any tips as to whether the filter can be replaced. Just looking forward to time when might be required. Looking at your, and numerous other you tube videos, haven't seen a way of doing that (manual not of much use. Thank you.
We have just purchased the Bosch Unlimited 7. Wondering about how to mount the unit, Does the appliance hang above floor or does it have to sit with head resting on the floor. Thanks for all your information.
Hello, thank you for the video. I was wondering where to find the E-number on the vacuum for the motor guarantee? My husband and I have been looking for it for half an hour and were wondering if it was on a sticker that we are missing? Thank you I’m advance.
So I’ve just bought Bosch series 7 with mopping function and I’m really confused. I’ve charged the cleaner for 5 hours like it was said and the battery died in 15 minutes in turbo function. Can someone explain what I’m doing wrong? I’m thinking to turn it back or to buy another battery with 6mA with charger. I need an advice please.
Do you need the turbo function on all the time? This is normally only used when a very dirty area needs vacuuming, i would try and concentrate on using the lower suction levels then you should be ok with a longer runtime
@@lords-electricalthank you for you answer! I have one more question. Can I clean the the parts of the vacuum cleaner, such as the attachment for dry cleaning with water.
Thank you very much for showing the Bosch vacuum. Could you kindly indicate if the weight is comparable to a Dyson. And in terms of noise/décibels 😬it sounds incredibly loud is it?
I just bought this and then battery flat and I’m charging become red color on the battery light and then take abit time become charging that means it not normal right?
Hi, in some videos it looks like it is hard to push across carpet... mind you not may videos about. Has anyone experienced difficulty pushing on carpet? Thanks
@@lords-electrical Fair enough, but maybe recommended screw dimensions and reason why not included could go some way as to offset their brand being slightly diminished, anyway... thanks for the video, it's a good one :)
hi! thank you for this review, ii really liked it. i was just wondering how often do you need to change the filter and if it is possible to buy it everywhere. is this a hepa filter? thank you.
The filter will need to be changed at some point but its always a really difficult one when to do it. It really depends how many times it has been cleaned, what has been sucked up etc... Some people are changing filters on vacuums every year or so, but some people are not changing them until after 2-3 years. Some people don't bother, and then wonder why the vacuum isn't performing properly.
thank you for the prompt response. i have 2 more questions. is it hepa filter? can the filter for the vacuum cleaner been bought everywhere, i mean, is it some standard filter? thank you in advance for your response.
Anybody finds hoovering corners a problem with this one? Regular vacuum cleaners absorb things around the square accessory but this one only picks up dirt that is under - find this very unconvenient. Wonder if it is an unusual behaviour, and shouldn't behave like this?
Bosch are lagging behind the competition in terms of design and innovation. This model is very staid and boring looking compared with what dyson and miele are offering…The dust canister looks minuscule and I think users like to be able to wash the filter. The 10 year motor warranty is welcome, but not sure it’s enough to make me part with my money tbh. Thanks for uploading the video.
Im quite dissapointed it came with no mounting screws. How am i suposed to know what size and lenght screws to get? and i have to go and buy them from a store.

Just bought this vacuum cleaner. The video was an excellent supplement to the instructions it came with.
I bought it today...thank you for your video. With all informations I needed! So I can start right away
Great to know this video was helpful for you. Thanks for the feedback
Thank you for your comprehensive video - I feel a lot more confident to use my new Bosch vacuum cleaner now.
Thanks for that. Was struggling with the so-called "Instruction Book"

I wish my vacuum had a removable battery, so I could vacuum for longer by swapping a second one like I do with my Black & Decker gardening tools.
Great video, just not sure how the small crevice tool attaches,? Not the long flexible tool but the small one
Thanks!
hi. Is there any engine difference between 7 and 8 series?
Thanks for the video. Most useful. I have a shark that is failing at only 3.5 yrs. I think the battery is the problem. I think I’ll try this Bosch
Thanks for this, I’ve just bought one & couldn’t figure out how to assemble it etc., the manual is hopeless!
No problem, glad it was useful for you.
This or Unlimated 8. Can you compare these two?
Greate video and presentation👌
Can we use a higher capacity battery?
This is 3.0 A i think 4.0 A or 6.0 A
Thank you for the easy to understand demonstration.
I tried to register my warranty but it keeps saying it’s not correct. Any suggestions?
If you are struggling to register the guarantee i would recommend contacting Bosch on 0344 8928979 and they should be able to help you.
Thank you for the video, really enjoyed the British accent 👍☺️

Is series 7 or 8 better then henry quick grey?
Really well explained - excellent pace and very good overall thank you

The numbers will be behind the battery. If you take the battery off it is in very small writing.

Hello, awesome video thanks.
What would happen if I did wash my filter 🤔
If you wash it make sure it is completely dry before you put it into the vacuum
Thank you for the demonstration on the Bosh cordless hoover. Can you charge the hoover without having to use the bracket? Thanks. Regards. Trudy
Yes you can charge the vacuum without having to use the wall bracket. You just plug it in using the mains socket.

Although not really demonstrated here on long pile carpet, the stick design of vacuums can struggle to vacuum on deep pile carpets
@@lords-electrical just a heads-up I saw a vid where they bought a 6amp battery and that increased suction...
Are they all 220 most out stuff is 110 on the AC plug
Excellent review thanks
It's on at a good deal now in the uk
DO YOU HAVE TO HOLOD DOWN THE BUTTON TO USE IT LIKE THE DYSON. I HAVE ARTHRITIS AND THAT IS A PROBLEM FOR ME.
No you don't need to hold down the button it is a switch that you slide which is an advantage compared to the Dyson
Good video but no mention of screws, plugs or washers for wall mounting, Bosch have not supplied these with my newly bought Unlimited 7.

How difficult is it to clean the rollers?
Hi Here in India, unlimited 7 , Dyson 8, and Tineco Pure One S12 have the same price.
which one should I buy?
anyone, please suggest
All of these are good machines, but i would go Tineco, Dyson then Bosch
What about the price does it compare favourably with other cordless vacuum cleaners?
Prices can fluctuate but at the time of recording it is £299 so comparable with Dyson and Shark models around the same price
Thank you.
