    I just got my Bosch Unlimited Serie 7 ProAnimal... so far really happy. It is super quiet. I find on Auto most of the carpet area is done on eco and that is sufficient suction. Went over the carpet twice and got two full dustbins of dirt/dust and fluff. We only had a cheap vacc before and obviously didn't clean well! I noticed on hard floor the power increases, so I would imagne if you had mainly hard floor the battery life might be a bit less, however in our small 2 bed unit I had to vacuum 3 times to run battery flat to condition it the first time, turbo is much faster of course. I found once battery was completely flat and then to fully recharge, the lights didn't come on the charging station and I thought the battery was faulty, but after 30 mins there was some charge and then the indicator lights started up, so takes a little while from flat to start indicating. The little ratchet system on the filter is a bit awkward to turn, there is not much to grip and my mums arthritic hands can't do it, but a good bang on the railing outside does the trick too. Easy to clean. I would recommend cleaning the filter after every clean to keep suction up and avoid the risk of dust getting into the motor.
    Absolutely love the attachments, I purchased the draw cleanwr and the mattress brush too. Love the extension flexi hose, that will be great for awkward areas. Not sure about the long crevice nozzle yet, its narrow so things may get stuck in it but good for finer stuff. Pushes really easy over the carpet, ours is pure wool low pile loop carpet so air can get between. I have seen some videos on really fine plush carpets that its hard to push as the head gets a good grip, so developers could do with a relief hole like some other brands have. However no problems here. The bendy wand is really good for getting under beds without having to bend or squat, a little less control but serves its purpose... I like that it stands alone when the hand piece is in use so when you need to quickly take it off to use you don't have to worry about the rest of it falling. It doesnt stand alone with motor on, but leans easily. Weight is ok, like all stick vaccs they can get heavy in hand, but a lot lighter and more compact than Dyson. The dust bin is a little small and need to keep and eye on it, but this ensures I clean it after every vac, it was a trade off for me comparing other brands, I can put up with that for the rest of the pros... Bit disappointed the motorised head roller isn't removeable, I think in Serie 8 it is. But I was expecting tangles, I have long hair and have a cat, but so far not a speck on the roller - that is impressive (I haven't vaccummed my bedroom in a while as hate the little cheap corded stic vac we had ($20 at Supermarket) so was expecting lots of long hair on the roller and was amazed how clean it was. The pivot on the motorised head is really nice... I would like an onboard clip though for accessories. They have one for earlier models so will see if it fits or if I can adapt it.
    At the moment it isn't wall mounted, I just have the wall mount flat on the floor and the hand piece sitting on it, so doesn't take up much space, the rest just leaning in the corner next to it. Was thinking to get a small cupboard and it can just sit on that...(looks nice, almost looks like a red kettle sitting there like that). I dont like drilling into the wall. I will get a charger from hardware store so have the choice to stored it away and batteries charged separately. I was going to get a 6Amp battery rather than the 4 they provide - gives more power and time, but honestly I dont need to, I doubt I will even be using the second battery supplied. Nice compact hand piece, looks beautiful. All round very happy with this - and love the red and black look!

    I just got one.., most because if any problem with the battery I can find another one easy! I had Dyson before and it was a pain to get a new battery… tried Eletrolux and it last only for 2 years…😢 so weird… I’m hoping that this one will do the job at least for 5 years🙏🏼😅

    This is a really good vacuum cleaner. I’ve got the “ProAnimal” version because of additional accessories. Also separately purchased the AL 1880 CV fast charger + a 4Ah battery (charges in 27 mins to 80%; 35 mins to 100%) and it now basically has unlimited runtime because one battery charges while the other is being used. It doesn’t have the greatest suction power but the motorized brushes make up for that. Dirt is being properly agitated and then vacuumed.

      @@Julian-nl7vv hi, I am leaning toward this too, I like the accessories and the fact that its quiet. The Shark Apex pro pet also has some neat accessories, great car kit, but Shark tend to be noisy and that worries me I saw a review of Bosch where the lady couldn't push it on carpet, had to pull it backward, what is your experience with that. And can you explain a bit when you say hasn't got great suction? Does it not pick up, does it drop stuff... trying to evaluate how the suction is as whether to get this and compromise suction or get Shark and compromise noise?

    Hi, my main concern is how does it perform on carpet? We only get a very small glimpse of you running over a mat... I dont mean cleaning performance so much as ease of pushing... is it hard to push on carpet? We have all carpet at home and my 85yo mum will be using it and could get quite tired if it grabs too much... be nice if you could give a demo on low pile carpet... thanks

    • @Kalbo64
      @Kalbo64  Рік тому

      Hi, at first this was quit hard to push over carpet, I think this was mainly due to the brushes being brand new and very ridged. After a short while of use it was much easier and moves fine over carpet now, although I would say due to the size of the head and power it is still more of an effort than some. My main concern with your mother being 85 is the weight of the unit, my mother is 87 and uses a lighter weight stick vacuum and a robovac for her house, and in my opinion this would not be suitable for her due to the weight. Hope this helps.

    • @Achala148
      @Achala148 Рік тому

      @@Kalbo64 thankyou that helps a lot... how heavy is it? When I search customer reviews there are so many differing comments, some say light, some say heavy... one thing I bet its not as heavy or awkward as the dyson gen5... so hard to get everything in one unit... the Tineco was another consideration but the customer service reviews were scary, mind you Bosch weren't much better but at least being German made its a good build and has a 10yr motor warranty... I guess I will have to take over vacuuming! She won't like that, says its her gym workout! Lol...

    • @Kalbo64
      @Kalbo64  Рік тому

      It is more the distribution of the weight rather than the over all weight. The handle section with the battery is heavy and the brush head heavy. The suction pipe folds so you can get under units, beds etc but the consequence of this is the pipe is not adjustable in length so if you are shorter this can be an issue. I have not used the Dyson gen5 or Tineco so can't really compare, and I guess it can be a bit of a trade off with increased weight meaning increased power and performance. I know it isn't the question you are asking but I find robovacs great, I think the perception is they are more of a gadget than practical as the have a small suction area, but as they will spend 30-40 mins cleaning an area they really do a great job.

    • @Achala148
      @Achala148 Рік тому +1

      @@Kalbo64 thank you that is very helpful... I hear you with a robovac but it can pose a trip hazard to elderly... thanks so much, its really weighing up the trade offs.. I think I can work with the Bosch, and I like the eco battery as I can have as many as I want and chargers too and can store the vac away conveniently as we dont really have space to mount it near a power outlet, its only a small unit we live in and so independently charging batteries only takes a very small space... ok so am hitting the order button! Cheers xox

    • @Kalbo64
      @Kalbo64  7 місяців тому

      Hi, it didn't stop but the brushes certainly slowed when on the carpet. This was due to the brushes being new and very stiff and ridged so it dug in, and also stopped a smooth action across the carpet, but after the initial use they softened with wear and were fine.

      I don't understand why both Bosch and Philips are afraid of giving us the actual parameters. It's really frustrating, especially since those two brands are not reviewed by the biggest Vacuum testing channels like Vacuum Wars 😢
