- Metal detecting for relics and gold nuggets in Australia is tonight's video. Please join me, NQ Explorers (UA-cam) and our friend George as we journey deep into the Australian bush on a mega awesome camping trip. This is our first stop to search for gold nuggets, relics, coins and artifacts boy oh boy do we find the coins. Many date from the 1600's!
I wish to give special thanks to Garrett Metal Detectors USA and Garrett Australia for sponsoring me on this trip to the Land Down Under. Also many thanks to my guides and protectors during this awesome journey in this alien world, Warren and Colleen of NQ Explorers (UA-cam).

Mate,
Don't ever quit saying "Do you see it?" "Do ya?" Infact Beau, dont ever quit being your quirky self.. 😁👍🏻
BACKYARD BOOTY Aussie Treasure Hunters - that’s why we all watch him!
I loved your Aussie adventure. Lovely people, harsh landscape. thanks for the great vids Chigg.
@MARK PERRY 😢
George has probably forgotten more about metal detecting than I will ever learn. was great to see him share his knowledge with beau in this and the previous video.
Wonderful adventure. Thanks for taking us along. And, so glad you have such good friends and protectors. Mr. Chigg and all the Australian folks, stay awesome.
Thank you for bringing us along 😃 you are having way to much fun in the bush 😁 loved it , can't wait to see 👀what more you find 😄👍
I think you’ll find the aromatic smell in the grass is from the eucalyptus leaf litter on the ground, our version of autumn leaves...lol 🇦🇺
I really appreciate you showing us your settings when looking for different targets.
That soil is as hard as the soil in my backyard, only mine lacks the Chinese coins.
This was the best adventure!!! I loved your Aussie friend 😉
I’ll bet you were longing for a good river hunt!! Thanks for sharing your adventures Chigg
We come from land down under sounds like a song from long time ago showing my age love chigg
All we need is a vegemite sandwich!
I'm an Aussie but I don't like vegemite very much. I'll eat it if I have to, but I'm not fussed about it. Lol.
@@cathybenson5119 just the name makes me think of vitamins ground up and made into a paste to spread on toast 😩
Dear Beau, you are almost in my territory! Only another 6-8hrs to fly to NZ! We had huge numbers of Chinese who came to the gold rush in the Goldfields of Otago in the 1860s. Some of the same men (and women) did the Otago gold fields, the Australian AND the Californian. It was exciting times in the mid 19thC.
So many Australians and New Zealander have Chinese ancestry thanks to these incredibly hard working people in the 19thC . They were treated appallingly by both the white Australians and the government. In NZ their treatment was a bit better.
Great to see you travel the world - well Oz at least. Hope you were able to bring your wife with you, she will love the wildlife. Have a fantastic time, stay away from the water ( full of crocs) and remember your sunscreen! XxxPS I recommend cuddling a 🐨 lol
PPS I just realised why you are not coming to NZ. It’s a bit short on finds. Of ANY sort. It’s a challenge to find a thing! Mind you, if anyone could find a relic it would be The Chigg! Right, enough fangirling.......
@ the 4:04 mark when Warren says to Chigg (trying to be nice) "looking for something larger and more monetary." HaHa. Great video Chigg! Just busting your chops!
"Yea i'll just leave it there for an hour or so" (Beau walks away) either you don't get Aussie humor or you've mastered it Beau :)
😂😂😂
HEY, G'Day Bloke ... I watch your shows in the USA.... and to the Aussie .... we have met here in Palmer South Australia .... he sold me a garrett metal detector. Great to see you two blokes together ... swinging in the bush.
Lovely coins bud..👍
And well done getting through that hard ground..👊
Awesome old finds in that bush Beau and warren colleen and the other chap 👌😀👍...i didn't know what pom ment either and i am one 😂👍
That pin fire cartridge is way cool.
LOL You soon learnt my trick. The shaded areas are always the best place to detect. Snider rifles fired a .577 The Martini Henry fired 577/450 . So a necked down 577 to 450 cal. The lids off those opium tins had Chinese characters on them . One said "double happiness" Yes those picks are all that will work in this country. I stay home on hot days . LOL. I hunt with my AT Pro on full discrimination.
Super awesome video. Thank you for sharing. Happy Hunting 🇳🇿🤘🏻🇺🇸
"She'll shake the coins from your pockets" Clearly lol
Great to see you hunting here in the land down under and was an enjoyable to watch! Chinese coins here in Australia are common in the gold field areas where there used to be gold rushes back in the 19th century as the Chinese were big on getting their share back in the day. I've personally found a Chinese coin myself at a small park in front of a local train station would you believe, it dates 1796-1820, it had a drilled hole at the rim so someone must of worn it as a pendant in I guess the mid to late 20th century and lost it there sometime in that period.
I'd be watching out for snakes the whole time
Or those GIGANTIC spiders they've got over there?
6 Actonsneakerhead Everything in Australia wants to kill you! 😳
With all their stomping around and digging with their picks, the noise and vibrations would have scared the snakes off :)
I was wondering which snakes would be in the dryer regions of Australia; it's something to research if wanting to know 🤔
@Matthew Gilson omg 😱 Eek 😩
That is so cool to see Chigg with Warren 👍
Awesome Charlie found a coin I'm jealous all away down and under you stay blast hope you show more
Oh man you know all ya aussies are loving seeing you out here in the Bush! So cool! Watch for snakes mate!!!!!!!
What a cool bit of history, its so weird seeing these coins dug deep out in the bush ;)
Great to see you here in Australia . Enjoying your great, surprising discoveries and huge smiles on your face.
Are you planning on heading south to Victoria’s gold fields too?
So awesome! I love the look of Chinese coins! Thanks for taking us along! HH🎧⛏❤️
Whoever said you talk too much is deeply incorrect. You talk just the right amount. And I don't see it, do I, but you know I'm looking and very happy to be doing so. You be you boss. The real treasure here is Chigg, and we all know it.
Love seeing my heros all get together, allstars!!
And I thought the ground was hard here in Texas 😲 Now I appreciate the dirt digging here much more ☺ sort of 😂 congrats on your Aussie finds Beau!! 👍 You've earned ever bit of them 😀🎉
@ the 15:10 mark "This grass is very aromatic." The Chigg is snorting Opium left over from 300 years ago! Ha. No more comments. Keep the vids coming Chigg!
I really enjoyed that, ,I offer wondered why the Aussies call us brits poms, now I know! Thanks Chigg, great finds great show.
Great extra long video. I'd watch it even if it lasted two hours.
LEGEND amongst LEGENDS
That's some hard dirt Beau you found a lot of Chinese History!!!; )
Lovin' your adventures down under Chigg. Now for real adventure you need to head West.
Love NQ Explorers... pretty neat! Looks in good nick!
Hard soil reminds me of detecting in South Africa. We also have invasive eucalyptus from Australia
Hahaha so u are finding out
How hot Australia is Chig lol lol
Good to see your having fun mate
Coooeeee bro
Crouch
30:05 bless you lol
I found a 1796-1820 Chinese coin in Ybor City FL (Tampa) which predates colonial settlers in the area and hundred miles around. The Chinese were literally everywhere in the world 300-400 years ago.
I delivered a truck load of hay 23 years ago in California. I kicked a few washers on the ground. Later I picked them up. They were iron 300+ year old Chinese coin's. I found out it was a Chinese labor camp and they built the barn.
Hey chig ! Love your content. Instead of your usual song at the end, it would have been funny to hear "Waltzing Matilda". 😜
Welcome down to the land of heatstroke and roadkill kangaroos, beau
Needed to trade your ball cap for an Akubra! Can't believe I've not seen any ANTS - like the size of your thumb!! Probably so dry they've moved to the coast! Nice coins.
Two experts in one video damn!!
G'day Beau mate, looks like you had a good time in a land down under, with Chinese coins and a pile of plunder. Can't you hear, can't you hear that thunder? You better run, you better take cover.
Brilliant Beau, Good to see you on our side of the globe ; )
cool thumbs up! love metal detecting.
Love the Chinese coins, and that dropped pinfire was just awesome, Chigg!
Awesome adventure beau! Whats next buddy!!😁
Hey man thanks for the video I enjoyed it and I got one of those coins with the hole in it I never knew what it was but thanks to your channel now I know what it is
Chig, You have to eat some meat pies and all the great Australian food, while you are there. Keep the videos coming, and have fun in Australia. Also, get a bug net for your head. If you ever get the flies swarming, you will wish you had one.
check termite mounds for gold, the termites will carry small bits of it out and dump it amongst the soil, it gets in the way of their tunnels.
Another Slam Dunk Video! 🏆
Great job the complete bullet find of the day . Really nice . Chinese coins are interesting finds . NICE ONE .
Great video.....on my bucket list to go there
I am amazed what you can do with just one hand.
I just found this channel and am enjoying your adventures in Australia, as others have said you should come down to Victoria, the goldfields there are still full of gold (if a bit small in size, but you can still find some larger ones) and a lot cooler temperature wise.
Love the Palmer. Can't wait to get back there. Driven pass that spot dozens of times. Should of stoped and had a look.
It sure is dry here. I have had to give up in some area’s due to the ground being too hard and it’s only October 😥🥵 love the video, and you are with my favourites here Chigg
Certainly looks like ya had a great time here in straya Bueu. Hope you did mate 👌
Man! Please take me with you!! Looks like a dream come true. 👍👍
I’m loving this series I want to get a better detector eventually
The song he plays at the end of every video is so much better if you listen to it at 2X speed 😁
Great Video thanks for sharing.✌
hey but the chig should come to Australia more often love your vids mayebe do some aussie river treasure and don't forget HOLD YOUR BREATH
They must have had holes in there pockets to loose so much change.
They actually tied them to their waist on a piece of cloth or rope using that hole in the centre of the coins. The cloth wore through, and well, you know the rest :>)
I really enjoyed this trip.
I know you're in the Bush of Australia but that ground is so hard - it's like digging a parking lot. 😀
..get to the gold fields and find gold before it is turned into the ''gold coins'' you are always searching for..lol..good vid
Really cool stuff Chigg, thank you.
Crazy how hard the ground is, like concrete!
bullet is called a pin fire cartage, big in EU 1850s until 1890s and used with shot guns until 1920s, never caught on in America. First pin fire was in wider production just after the civil war
Fantastic finds!
Friggen awesome! 💕
Great video Chigg. Very good be safe GOD BLESS.
And we thought we had dry dirt to dig in lol heck not compare to there lol.
Chinese coins are on my bucket list what an awesome video cheers mate 😀
Another fun adventure! The coins were really cool, but it seems like over there, they're not the most exciting thing kinda like wheat pennies out here. Show us a wrap up and tell us about the symbols and stuff!
I believe if I was high on Opioids I would lose a few coins too in the middle on nowhere 🤪🇦🇺
Funny, being English myself, I understand the Aussie lingo and slang better than Beau does...
Great video and some really good finds there mate!
Funny, you lot taught us that lingo :)
LKM 777 - Nah, we never "taught" you lot, you took it with you. Plus you've got words like arvo, sheila & bruce, ripper, servo, she’ll be right, you beauty, root and the “C” word for mate... the list goes on. I have many Aussie friends IRL and love the accent and the people in general... :)
Chigg, I've seen concrete softer than that soil. How does anything grow down there.
I hope you’ve got another long video of detecting there where you are at. I like this wish I was there.
Definitely worth adding to the collection
Quite frankly, that's a Yuge' score with all the coins from Chy-nuh.
BenFrank OG i can dig what you did there
Welcome to Oz Mr Chig. Just watch out for our snakes mate they don't mess about.
Is it just me, or the last month or so, is the video definition ultra-high? They look amazing even on my old phone.
Love the coins
Cool coins!
Bust those termite mounds up and pulverize them into dust and then add water and presto you have concrete! outback hack no#29
cool!! I'm subscribed to both these guys and it's cool to see them meet. Hope you got some meat pies while there.
Wow! That ground is hard! I thought MO clay was bad.
It is. In the SW corner, the only thing that grows reliably are stones/rocks..
Truth. Central MO
Great finds never found a Chinese coin
I haven't heard you mention what part of Aus you're in?
I'd be definitely keen to go find some old chinese stuff but I'm in Sydney so I'd have to drive for at least a day
those Chinese Cash coins can be found online for $5 -$7 USD. So definitely worth the adventure and time.
