Hi Amanda, wow I love Your channel. I have never know that You have crochet DIY too! How cool is that!!! We should collaborate sometime soon!!!! And I love Your website too. So neat and clean. Now I'm off to explore Your Instagram! I really happy to connect with You!
Thank you Maya! I love your channel, your videos always inspire me. You’re such a great teacher & infuse your soul into every piece 💖 & yes!!! I would love to collaborate somehow! That would be so awesome! 😊
I have been crocheting for many years, I have taught many people to crochet, I have watched many, many crochet videos and I can say quite confidently that you are very clear and very easy to follow. That is not always an easy thing to do as everyone has a different thought process as to how they learn and understand. Great job!
I’m living for this pumpkin spice color! I’m going to attempt this sweater, but also the advice at the end was really uplifting, as I have anxiety about how things are gonna turn out; I’m learning to allow creativity to have perfect expression of itself. Thanks so much ♥️
Just ordered Loops and threads yarn in the color “Aran” for this sweater!!! It will be a beautiful warm buttery white color and perfect for fall. I’ve done huge blankets, and plenty of stuffies ,but never clothing! I’m so excited I ordered one day delivery! Thank you for the amazing tutorial ahead of time since I watched it today so I could understand what I’ll be doing!
I think this would be a perfect project for my daughter to boost her confidence in her crochet skills. Thank you for sharing this video and encouraging your followers at the end. Keep up the great work!
I really love how simple and easy this pattern is compared to the other sweater tutorial that I tried to follow. This is my first time actually making a sweater and your video is so helpful! Thanks for sharing this!
Hi! So I do like this tutorial a lot and has been easier than other tutorials for making sweaters but word of caution if you’re a left-handed crocheter like me make sure that you reverse everything especially when you get to where you make the bottom edging of the sweater or else you won’t be able to do a continuous 17 chains like she did around 13:20. Cause I had to cut off the yarn at the point and reattach it to the other end to make it more accessible for myself and I didn’t know this was happening since I’m following along while making this sweater. also Amanda, I think that in future videos that you should give people that are left-handed crocheters a heads up on where they should start the reverse. Again thank you for the tutorial I super appreciate it!
SWEATERS!Camel has been my fav yarn color since I started crocheting, wow, almost 50 years ago.A hippie at heart...Love your boho style.Thank you so much
Hi Amanda, I am actually working on it every evening. It is a Christmas gift. I love watching Christmas Hallmark movies and crocheting your oversized sweater. Thanks again for the detailed instructions and I look forward to more of your tutorials!
I really like this pattern! I was nearly finished with my size 2XL, but the sleeves were much too long. Thankfully, the slip stitches that are used to connect the garment parts are easy to undo! Yay! I am also closing the neck opening more than the directions call for to keep it from falling off my shoulders. Currently writing a pattern for my 2-year-old twin granddaughters using the ideas from this great pattern!
@@juliekatekunich5217it took me about 4 weeks, I guess. There were a few days where I worked on it for several hours, and some where I crocheted for an hour, and some where I didn’t work on it at all. It’s an easy work up, very repetitive. Once I finished the two main panels the sleeves and construction were done in a week.
I love this video! I started making this sweater in November for my best friend, but the college life caught up. Long story short, I just finished it today and I tried it on for the first time. Thanks for inspiring me! I finally completed a real challenge-halter tops and hats are fun, but this sweater takes dedication to complete. This is my first long project. I did it in a pretty magenta color.
I am a veteran crocheter but only with blankets. I’m nervous about starting. Sweater, my first, but your video has given me ideas about I can incorporate your excellent instructions here and my own ideas.....i’m going to start with the Stuart back before I tackle the front with neckline. Excellent demo. P
This is a great sweater, I would make is less bulky for my figure. Great instructions by showing us on paper how and where to start. I love making tops or sweaters that get worked in rounds from the top down, it eliminates any seams and it fits any size so well. Love to see more pattern ideas that are worked in rounds from the top down.
I have been following this tutorial as I make my sweater and it has been going pretty good! I have less rows as I have used a thicker needle than you recommend, but I just made sure it would be big enough to wear! Now I have all the panels done and I only have to stitch them together (took me about.. 2 weeks to finish working on it a hour or 2 a day). It has been so healing to know I'm making something useful with something I loved to do when I was younger! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be able to make something like this, only the sleeve ending was difficult and needed a lot of redoing.
Glad I've found your channel. I'm halfway through your tutorial and your instructions are straight forward, so will be easy to follow. I'm in love with crochet jumpers and cardigans and love to see what different designers come up with. I'm definitely going to make this. I hope you make a cardigan tutorial some time soon too. 😊
Thank you! 😊 I’m so happy to know the tutorial has been easy to follow. I try my best to make them as easy as possible! So thanks 🙏🏼 Also, I love the ideas. So many have been requesting a cardigan so I’m now working on one. Hope to get it out soon 😃
YYYAASSSS!! Please do more tutorials, most of the videos on modern or fashionable crochet pieces to wear are outdated on UA-cam. I've been searching and waiting for a sweater just like this! I love it!
This is great! I’m a knitter, but I want to dive into crochet. This pattern is so cute. And not a granny poncho! LOLs. I ordered the same yarn in magenta. The pattern document is excellent. It includes photography and is beautifully laid out. Nice work! I’m looking forward to getting started on this project. Many thanks.
Ok so I just finished making this sweater. Even though it may be a very simple pattern. It is very time consuming and takes a lot of yarn. I am satisfied with the end results! 😊
I finished my sweater! I'm so grateful for the clear instructions and great pattern. I'm extremely pleased with how mine turned out, it is so cozy I love it!
This has been my bedtime project for a while now and I've finally finished! I made mine in a coral color and I think it turned out very nice. It's a heavier weight sweater, so I'm sure it will be warm for the winter weather. Thanks for the project!
ABSOLITELY BEAUTIFUL & I LOVE IT 😊💝💚💛💜💙!!!!! SO EXCITED 😊!!!!! MY VERY, VERY FAVORITE KIND OF SWEATER & EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR'S IS JUST PERFECT 😊!!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR SHARING 😊 💝!!!!!
Thank you for this pattern. I had a sweater similar to this 30 years ago, wore it until it was nothing but bare string and have never found another sweater that I simply loved and adored wearing. Starting this now. PS - In my humble opinion, your a fantastic teacher and crochet artist! Love your videos/patterns even tho I am an old, ancient fat lady!
I definitely can relate to the same struggles you face when creating things. Always getting inspired to do too many things....wanting the final product to be exactly how you want it...I took apart half a sweater I had started forever ago so I could have that yarn to do this sweater. I love this one you made a lot more. Can't wait to finish it! :)
I loved it. It was easy to do and I made one so thank you so much. You made it easy to do by the way showed and explained how to do it. Wish all the best.
This is the best crochet sweater tutorial I have seen😍💕, I love how clean your work is and the quality of this video. Thank you! 😊 I cannot wait to make this for my sister as a Christmas gift I know she will love it!

I'm loving this pattern! I bought it, so I could follow the written instructions for the larger sizes and it is so easy when I use it in conjunction with this video. If I get stuck or think I'm doing something wrong (as in the ribbed part) I review the video and go back and try again. I've got the front finished and am working on the back. Super excited to get it done.

Hi Amanda, since I saw this video I decided to make the sweater. Well, I just finished it and it's beautiful! I used Caron Simply Soft. It came out a little thicker but it's soft and cozy. I wish you could see it. Thanks, I really enjoyed crocheting it following your instructions.
Your advice in the end is so on point! I'm struggling with to many thoughts about ideas or half ideas... I think I'm always like that, not only in crochet. I feel like winter is going to be over before I get to finish this project.
That, my friend, is why I’m starting in July

I got to finish the sweater &wear it a tad bit before heat took over.

Day 3, starting the sleeves. Will do another ribbon when remaking, this took me like forever 😅😅😅
