I have been crocheting for many years, I have taught many people to crochet, I have watched many, many crochet videos and I can say quite confidently that you are very clear and very easy to follow. That is not always an easy thing to do as everyone has a different thought process as to how they learn and understand. Great job!

I’m living for this pumpkin spice color! I’m going to attempt this sweater, but also the advice at the end was really uplifting, as I have anxiety about how things are gonna turn out; I’m learning to allow creativity to have perfect expression of itself. Thanks so much ♥️

Just ordered Loops and threads yarn in the color “Aran” for this sweater!!! It will be a beautiful warm buttery white color and perfect for fall. I’ve done huge blankets, and plenty of stuffies ,but never clothing! I’m so excited I ordered one day delivery! Thank you for the amazing tutorial ahead of time since I watched it today so I could understand what I’ll be doing!

Hi! So I do like this tutorial a lot and has been easier than other tutorials for making sweaters but word of caution if you’re a left-handed crocheter like me make sure that you reverse everything especially when you get to where you make the bottom edging of the sweater or else you won’t be able to do a continuous 17 chains like she did around 13:20. Cause I had to cut off the yarn at the point and reattach it to the other end to make it more accessible for myself and I didn’t know this was happening since I’m following along while making this sweater.
also Amanda, I think that in future videos that you should give people that are left-handed crocheters a heads up on where they should start the reverse. Again thank you for the tutorial I super appreciate it!

I really like this pattern! I was nearly finished with my size 2XL, but the sleeves were much too long. Thankfully, the slip stitches that are used to connect the garment parts are easy to undo! Yay! I am also closing the neck opening more than the directions call for to keep it from falling off my shoulders. Currently writing a pattern for my 2-year-old twin granddaughters using the ideas from this great pattern!

    • @Kay_Veeee
      @Kay_Veeee 3 роки тому

@@juliekatekunich5217it took me about 4 weeks, I guess. There were a few days where I worked on it for several hours, and some where I crocheted for an hour, and some where I didn’t work on it at all. It’s an easy work up, very repetitive. Once I finished the two main panels the sleeves and construction were done in a week.

This is a great sweater, I would make is less bulky for my figure. Great instructions by showing us on paper how and where to start. I love making tops or sweaters that get worked in rounds from the top down, it eliminates any seams and it fits any size so well. Love to see more pattern ideas that are worked in rounds from the top down.

  • @Lee_Tia

I have been following this tutorial as I make my sweater and it has been going pretty good! I have less rows as I have used a thicker needle than you recommend, but I just made sure it would be big enough to wear! Now I have all the panels done and I only have to stitch them together (took me about.. 2 weeks to finish working on it a hour or 2 a day). It has been so healing to know I'm making something useful with something I loved to do when I was younger! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be able to make something like this, only the sleeve ending was difficult and needed a lot of redoing.

I try a lot of times and still don't work 😅 I buy the yarn, I do try some sweaters but the size of the yarn or needle or the pieces are always wrong. I start doing crochet since 1 year ago and I'm trying yet. I have the talent and ideas, sometimes is how our minds work. Good video. Maybe I need to embrace the easy things first and step by step... I would like to see patterns for crochet BOXY SWEATERS ! - more more more !! :) Please, that is.
I'm going to attempt this one in acrylic yarn rather than cotton: we shall see, eh ? [grin]

How do you stay motivated to crochet such a big project? Because I alway’s stop half way

Passion & habit, if you have a bad habit of not finishing do things you started then you need to change that 😊its so simple, I read that it takes 21 days to develop a habit🤔 so try doing things consistently for said time & you'll be fine 💁

Hey initially it was the same with me. I have found that you obviously cannot finish a project in a day. So keep a schedule for crochet say 1-2 hours each day. Also now that you have a schedule start the project which you really really love. Otherwise you will just leave it. Hope this helps 👍🏻

I try to stick to projects I genuinely want to see finished or have a purpose for . I get so excited that I put down my phone during that time frame which gives you a nice break from media .

Wish I could do this but I am the type who likes variety in the stitches... if they're all dc's I quit easily, lol! So, if this had a lacy design or something, I would do it. (It looks good on you!)

I'm a fairly new subby, because I stumbled up on this pattern about a month ago and fell in love😍 I think when I do make this I'll make the front and back panels the same with the V neck☺️I love the ribbing also!

Love the way you did this sweater! Unique and it looks like it’s a knitting work. I’ve done a cardigan and a short sweater, for my third project I could try out your technique ♡
