- During the June (July 3rd) Livestream Intrepid gave us a couple of HUGE pieces of news regarding Alpha 2 access and path forward! I cover these announcements as well as share my thoughts on the impact they will have on both the game and the community.

I'm a A1 supporter and I totally understand why they are doing what they are doing and think it is GREAT that they are offering the "A2 Only" keys for a reasonable price.
That means going from 200k testers to maybe 400k-500k testers with 75%-80% actually testing stuff. With the new tech, they really Need that. Kudos to IS for the hard work!
My wife, two of my friends, and my son all have a A2 package. This is nice because I can get 3 other friends, I believe will test things, into A2. It also makes my group of 8 complete.
They have kept the promise of no Alpha package sales, but allow Beta people to upgrade, which they said could happen. Meanwhile I am happy with the extras I get.
Access was about $75 once you pull out the extras, BUT that was for A1, A2, B1, and B2, plus name reservation(price unknown).... so you need to divide by some unknown number. LOL
//edit// my take is $15-$25 for A2 Only is reasonable.
@Hat_Uncle I'd be surprised if it was cheaper than $75 but we'll see. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I do believe that more testers will be better for the long term of the game!
totally agree i bought A2 for 250$ and idc if they reopen as long as pricing is fair 40-70$ or i can see a problem why ppl who bought packs get mad.. that range is pretty much regular price for games these days and we need to understand they did say thats the end of A2 sales and prob alot of ppl bought the packs cuz of that on the last day..myself idc even if it was 20$ i bought the pack cuz i wanted to test the game i got ingame curency and half a years of gameplay without subscription thats almost worth the full price of pack.. and yeah more players is better there are few games comming this fall that gonna take some of testers away.. 50$ is not a bad price considering game will be adding new stuff untill full relese on a faster rate that curerent games where u wait for new content for a year+ thats means even if not gonna play for 60 days theres gonna be tons of new stuff u can test/playtrough.. i just really hope hardest part of development is behind us with servermeshing and everything.. soo A2 wont be any longer than 2 years..

While it does feel slightly unfair that i went 250 dollars deep into this for access when i couldve just waited, its honestly a small price to pay for being able to play with friends who did not have either the hype or finances required to go 250 dollars in the hole for access.
A lot of my friends said they wanted to play with me, but werent willing to pay the price of the voyager packs. This way, we have a second chance to play together at a lower price point and share this experience after all. So i 100% support this.
@Psynergi yeah I think that's the healthier approach, more players = more testing. Also, same - had some friends who didn't shell the 250 and can join now!
Be sure to understand that the New Alpha 2 Keys will be keys only and will not include any Beta Keys or bonuses.
@davidsumpter4933 absolutely! I do cover in the video that all Intrepid has shown us says it will be just an alpha key, but good lookin out!
