@@hemlocksandloons Great Idea! I live in Spain so no snow here but I will be making one this weekend for my Primus Omnifuel. I’ll need for cooking on my condo balcony if there are power outages. Thanks for the video!
Hey Forrest! It turned out great. “What is a stove board , you may ask?” I laughed that you had to tell me the gizmo I have on my whisper lite is a stove board. Mine is a thin aluminum cookie sheet. Maybe I will add the plywood structure beneath and I like the hooks you made. You might consider heavier aluminum like disposable liners and maybe use foil duct tape around the edges. I’m glad we met. All the best!
Thanks Mike. I am going to add the foil tape as it did peal when I had it out in the woods. I am glad we meet as well. Thanks for watching and for the comment!
@@hemlocksandloons I’m inspired to fix mine up now. Someone could use a cutting board as the base if they found one at a thrift shop or cheap at a store. I have a bamboo one I carry some times.
I believe MSR made one in the past but I don’t think it is out there any more. Thanks for watching. Dennis you had a great show last night and I really enjoyed it!
I cut a lot of footage as I was figuring it out as I went. It looks in well. I am having issues with the foil sticking and may need to try something else. Thanks for watching!
I guess that I did not mention that I would be using it with the provided heat reflector and the windscreen. for a bigger pot or frying pan you could always use the windscreen to reflect the heat from the tank. Thanks for catching that and for watching my video!
Brilliant stove board. Very nice.
Thanks. It works great. I did end up using aluminum tape to keep the edges from peeling as it became an issue.

The cutting board is a good idea! I am happy to hear I inspired you.
Great little project Forest. I an surprised that there is not a commercially made version of this.

Nicely done! I fiddled with something similar before but couldn't get the feet just right. I may try again with your method.

Good board
Thanks
a fuel tank Gard would be a must. if you use a bigger pot the flames will heat up the tank to much.
