I would love to see more videos about fire management (not only for cooking, but also for heating a home in the most efficient way), but I must say that videos about cooking on an open fire sound great too! Thanks!

Before watching the video I already enjoyed the idea of a good practical video of you explaining all details. Thank you again!

I just recycle my used cooking oil onto newspaper for my fire starters.

@@martinhunt6004 Not a bad idea. Most oils & greases work well

I never knew the chemical reasons of making a good fire. I grew up with wood stoves and burn barrels. Made a few campfires.
I just knew How To, not Why TO. 😂 Thanks!

I always love knowing the "why", it really helps me understand things 😊

Have you tried natural fire lighters ? Little bundles of wood wool with a thin coating of natural wax. Good eco option

I stopped using charcoal to cook on outside a while ago. Just use wood now, and get just as good results, but I would love to see how you do it. Open fire with wood.

I'm sorry this question is off topic, I'm getting orpington chicks next spring. Would it cause discord among them if some were lavender and some buffed? I'm coming off of have hyline browns who were absolutely horrible to each other, and want to make sure I have a harmonious flock. Since I have an Omlet, I can only get 6. (I know there are no guarantees)

@@sandypipher5846 Hi Sandy, I don't think that would cause a problem. We have Crested Cream Legbars, Marans & Leghorns in with our Buffs & no squabbles

@@EnglishCountryLife There's an opportunity for innuendo here 😉 ( I used to think that was an Italian suppository) Anyway, you should embrace and celebrate your humour.
