The gold mines of Granada and the Cerro del Sol

* This video has subtitles providing extra information * The gold mines near Granada city go back to Roman times and gold can still be found to date. We leave the city via the Sacromonte with its cave houses and follow the Río Darro, passing the ruins of the farm Hacienda de Jesús del Valle. We walk to the top of the Cerro del Sol, with nice views over the Sierra Nevada. After exploring around the gold mines, we return along the Río Genil.
