Perhaps the dumbest point of the game. Forcing a character we barely got to know into forgiving the embodiment of her terrible mother in order to proceed. They really should've just had Miranda focus on letting go of her trauma by not fighting or something, maybe saying that in spite of her terrible parents she herself had blossomed, had a better life, and didn't need to even think of her mother anymore.
Which was the point of this fight. Forgiving someone is letting that trauma go, and releasing any control it has over your life. If you paid attention to the aftermath of the fight, Miranda reveals she even started fights in order to cope with the emotional trauma she felt.
@@RejectedSpiritX no, forgiving isn't Always needed nor necessary for moving on. And even when it is, This wasn't That. This was an info dump providing even more reason than we knew initially about how horrible Miranda's parents both were, but especially her mother. Letting go of her hatred, letting go of her mother's memory and associations with actual roses, without needing to lift a finger to attack (which is the antithesis of the way she'd been till then, what with slapping people like Rose), That would've been a good way to handle this scene.

@@juliantapia1407 I can’t agree with that. She’s not facing her demons head on in your take.
