- The Sting is a live album and DVD by the band W.A.S.P. Originally released as a DVD/CD set, it is also available as a CD on its own.
The concert was originally recorded and shown as a live webcast, which happened during the bands Helldorado World Tour. The DVD of the show (and the webcast) is the first live footage of the band to feature Blackies signature microphone stand, dubbed 'Elvis' by band and fans alike.
Line-up:
Blackie Lawless - Vocals/Guitar
Chris Holmes - Guitar
Mike Duda - Bass
Stet Howland - Drums
Live at the Key Club, L.A. - April 22, 2000.
Blackie singing great. And I can't get over that contraption he's riding.
He calls it elvis
1st band I saw live Manchester Apollo 🇬🇧 1989.
Great memories.
When I was a child I was happy with WASP music.
That mic stand that spins and has pyro is bad ass.Hope he does that tomorrow night in vegas
Blackie Lawless can SING HIS FUCKING ASS OFF!!
Heard this cover first time today on Sirus's Ozy's Bonehard and was blown away
Think I'm a new Wasp fan
And btw, replicating an complex Entwhistle bass line well is an honest days work....well done...
That was Blackie on bass. Johnny Rodd struggled with it live. Mike Duda doesn't have the special flair either, although this show had a ton of sound issues and video editing nightmares
Great Performance.
that. drummer. is. beyond. insane.
These guys are fucking badass !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's a metal voice
Too bad he has so much of a bad attitude he could have make it better in life
Mega excellent line-up!!!!
The bass said "whoops" at 1:32.
Blackie should bring back Elvis
Back when they held up 2 finger metal sign! Nowadays it's phones!
У меня это на ДВД было 😄.
dan mucho espectáculo los wasp son la ostia en sangre del diablo por sienpre wasp666
That bass tho
Big shoes to fill but they did a good job.
Какой же фундамент у этой стойки чтоб его полёты выдерживать 🙃 .
и, с таким хорошим звуком 😁
Has Blackie made a effort to have all the old WASP videos removed from youtube? There isnt shit anymore.
Wasn't Blackie. It was Johnny Rod, who for once played an Entwhistle line better than the Ox did.
Ok its Johnny Rodz
😆 🤣 😂
Pretty good version, except WASP's bass player just doesn't do The Ox any justice. Good cover version though
Johnny Rod was who recorded the cover and played it live great. The bassist in this vid, perhaps he has an off night???
@@crazeyjoe Maybe, so. The sound is pretty shitty on the bass, you can barely hear it. That certainly didn't help the bass players cause
@@brettbanta2100 With the exception of the part around the 1:30 mark (which is very noticeable) that was juuuust a bit outside. loL!
No offense to this bassist, but Johnny Rod did the cover (studio and live) much better.
100.people.at.a.wasp.concert..
glad.i.seen.them.with.30.000
It was a surprise concert at a small club. The concert was only announced that morning. It was simulcast via the Internet to over 1million around the world on Earth Day.
I saw them at the Surf Ballroom in Iowa a few years back.....smaller venue, solid crowd & it was awesome 🤘
@@michaelvondrake7489 regardless, W.A.S.P dosent sell out places of 30kfans on their own ; headlining indoors.
Get it?
There’s 100 people in the first 3 rows of the pit! Cool Story though
His version is better than The WHO
😆 🤣 😂
