With our Artemis program, we will land the first woman and next man on the Moon by 2024. Then, we will use what we learn on and around the Moon to take the next giant leap - sending astronauts to Mars. We go, as Artemis.

Heck yes! This makes me cry science tears.
Jesus Christ I hope your family it’s ok...
Oh Jesus Christ, it’s Jesus Christ!

God doesnt believe in science i thought?
@@doorstopper674 Yeah but like the Vatican said multiple times that evolution isn't a thing so i mean...
I really hope the program Artemis won't be cancelled.
Jonghwa they can’t cancel it. They have one rocket done and the second rocket halfway done. We ARE going.
David Willis heck yea we are!
I’d be ok if they switched over to starship after some time with Artemis
This mission is just too expensive, they can easily switch to spacex for cheaper option
Jonghwa that’s probably why they are doing all the promotions. To create a base of public support that would raise a fuss if it were cancelled.
Cannot wait to see myself the live streaming of landing on the Moon! And new historical words of our generation of people standing on our natural satelite! We are with you NASA!

So inspiring as always. Millions of us are looking to the brilliant men and women of NASA to start pushing the boundaries again as you did so brilliantly five decades ago. Much love and respect for the fantastic work you do, and we can't wait to see what comes next.
Ah, I didn't expect to see you here! I cant wait to see the next video about how the universe is like a pickle and we're all ants. Or something.
Starship, SLS, New Glenn
GODSPEED
SLS is the most useless piece of museum, it's not reusable, as like it's very expendable in order to build.
Starship and New Gleen are waaaayyyyyy cheaper, and *WAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY* better than the ShitLShit, SLS is only a great waste of money.
@@Enzoa123 hard to tell SLS fate at the moment, but yeah it will probably get launced 2 times per year at max, and is considered outdated at this point. Starship will probably fetch 30-40+ missions each year, anf New Glenn probably 10-15
@@zogozogy98 Don't believe everything you read on the internet. SLS is not "considered outdated" by anyone but the most diehard of fanboys, and a cadence of 40+ missions per year for Starship is just not gonna happen considering the anemic launch rate of Falcon Heavy; There's not enough demand.
@@Enzoa123 the SLS rocket maybe non reusable but as jim said, every SLS they will buy gets cheaper everytime they buy one.
it is not really bad in my opinion. all three rocket i hope to god will succeed.
@@welldonetothe7126 Why should we believe him though, this entire program is designed to maximize profit for Boeing. It's like when they say the F35 is going to save us money... yeah, maybe in 50 years if we are still even using it by then. SpaceX has proven itself time and time again, any rational and logical person can see that killing off SLS and giving all that money to SpaceX is by far the best investment the US taxpayer can make in space right now. To keep giving money to Boeing when they prove time and time again, they have no passion for space they only care about their bottom line, there's no rational or logical reason to do that. It just shows these political animals care more about campaign financing for their reelection then what's in the best interest of the American People and their space program. Only real hope now is that Space Force buys all it's launch capabilities from Elon, or other's if they can actually compete with Elon (they can't).
My generation's time for space was taken from us by a greedy and corrupt congress. I sincerely wish all of you the best. Go out there if you ever get the chance. Go

Since I was a kid I dreamed off going to space and seeing all there is to see out there I hope I get to one day.
On Jan. 28, 1986 the Space Shuttle "Challenger exploded about 94 seconds after ignition". In a few weeks it will be 34 years since that event. I remember it like yesterday going over the video on my VHS recorder in slow motion trying to figure out why it exploded. I noticed something, the cabin broke off the Space Shuttle and I could see it falling down along with other parts.
Immediately after the explosion of the main fuel tank the Challenger disintegrated, but the cabin where the astronauts remained intact broke and fell away for a few minutes. The astronauts were alive all the way down until the cabin slammed into the ocean at a high speed. NASA recovered the cabin and found that the oxygen masks were deployed. The commander may have had his over his nose and mouth.
Christa McAuliffe, the only teacher on board and a non-NASA employee was selected out of thousands of applicants to become the first teacher to become an astronaut. Thousands of young students were watching TV sets in the front of their classrooms that day when the Challenger departed.
Dr. Richard Berendzen, Ph.D. was selected by NASA to interview the final contestants and was that person who recommended Christa to become the first teacher to fly up, into and beyond the surly bonds of Earth. Dr. Berendzen asked Christa McAuliffe one final question in "order to bait her". He asked: "Christa, why should you, a teacher be selected to fly into outer space when there are so many others who can do the job"? Christa replied: "But don't you see, we teachers touch the face of the future". Dr. Berendzen knew right then and there that NASA had their teacher astronaut.

As a high schooler watching this fills me with joy. I hear all about the Apollo missions and can imagine them happening, yet to my generation Apollo is almost like a myth, while we know it happened we still can’t believe it. This mission, we will get to experience it. It is really going to happen. I know I don’t really know what the real world is quite yet, but this gives me hope that i can make a difference when I get there. By the time I’m 50 will people be living on Mars? Will we have gone to other planets? Will I be able to maybe help in that journey? I can’t wait to see what Orion and the SLS can do, and hopefully one day I will be able to help engineer space craft like that.
Definitely a tear jerker, especially seeing Colombia, but I'm proud and excited to see this moment!!!
It's really more of a leg jerker.
I love to see them

NASA doesn't even have a "space" costume that works in a vacuum chamber.
Spacesuits supply astronauts with oxygen to breathe while they are in the vacuum of space. The suits contain water to drink during spacewalks. They protect astronauts from being injured from the impacts of small bits of space dust. 01101001 00100000 01100001 01101101 00100000 01100001 00100000 01110010 01100101 01100110 01101100 01100101 01100011 01110100 01101001 01101111 01101110 00100000
@@Seraphim190. Look up "stretch armstrong vacuum chamber" to see what would happen to anyone and their "space" costume if they went into a vacuum chamber. There is no way those costumes or the individuals in them would survive. You'd think there would be thousands of hours of video of astronauts training in a vacuum chamber and testing the integrity of their equipment in one but there is nothing. There are no videos of anyone putting on one of those costumes, going into a vacuum chamber and performing various tasks similar to those they would perform in "space". Instead they "train" in the opposite of a vacuum, a giant swimming pool.
