It's called having a working policy to combat the pandemic. China locked down hard and fast and has been quick to renew lockdowns to squash every further flareup. It's nearly a textbook example of how to handle a serious pandemic - about as close to one as you can realistically get, really.
And I quite well remember how various western governments at the time were banging the propaganda drums about how evil and tyrannical the lockdowns of Wuhan and then much of China were and/or were laughing about how the Chinese were totally going to ruin theei own economy by overreacting to a silly little virus outbreak.
And then, they realised that the Chinese had gotten their response pretty much right while they in their hubris had ignored every warning given. And when the pandemic started hitting their countries, what did those western politicians do? Oh yes, blame China for not warning them... because a country putting areas bigger than many nations and containing hundreds of millions of people into strict lockdown, while yelling to the whole world to take this shit seriously apparently isn't warning enough.

Let's just ignore that the new variant of the virus has been recorded to come from the UK. And that China has had virtually no actual infections naymore other than what foreigners are bringing *in* and that the Chinese require their nationals to get tested before actually allowing them to leave.

@@magni5648 True. They took it very seriously and squashed it. Other countries like Vietnam and Cambodia did the same and hardly had any cases. It is countries without any plan and non complying citizenry that were left to face the brunt of it. That will keep happening until it hopefully goes away.

China just followed regular pandemic procedures. The rest of the world, take US for example, did not take the virus seriously enough. Trump issued the quarantine 2 months late saying shit like "it will go away in 2 weeks". It didn't go away in 2 weeks. China issued information about the virus 2 weeks after they discovered as well (which was kind of late but they did it anyways). China did everything that it was regulated to do, others who did not such as the US and India, suffered. Furthermore, Italy followed direct protocols and they didn't get fucked, so there isn't any reason to assume suspicious shit going on.
I lost my mother and friend due to this deadly virus. These people dont understand the pain of losing their loved ones. The world is quiet but I believe GOD will take the vengeance of our losses and the pains. Many were breathless and lost their lives in terrible misery. Such people should be rebuked and we should boycott this nation.

If you know chinese, then you will find they translate the official document in a totally misunderstanding way. For example, at 1:55, in the document "妥善保存" means "storing the sample properly" rather than "destroying them". However, someone does not care, you cannot have a rational conversation with those who know they are lying.

A week later my friend from Japan also ask me about the situation of the illness. I don't know if it was seamlessly covered how did they know, remember these people are all outside China
I also remember news from december, but the thing started WAY even before that, and chinese government refused to admit it till 13.01.2020, when they finaly shared the codes. At that point it was already global. It's now known that local transmissions were already happening here in brasil at 04.01.2020 and probably at many other countries too. Having shared the samples before would've helped identifying the situation.
I love chinese people and culture, they're great. But chinese government has a lot to be blamed.

Governements around the world should learn from the Vietnamese goverments. I'm not saying the Vietnamese goverment is good or bad, but specifically handling shady information from China, Vietnamese gov did extremely well. By mid of Dec 2019, information about a SARS-like virus was spreading in China mainland, the Vietnamese gov immediately closed the border between Vietnam and China, and ceased all traffic in the border. We've been treating all information from China in the worst case possible, and we have been making decision quickly.

We had rage on them, too, by that time. But afterwards seeing how yours handled the situation with full understanding of how danger the virus was, like asking people not to wear mask, encourage everyone to get contacted to realize "herd immunity" we suddenly found that even these CCP officials did much better.

It is, china manufactured it, There was a document from Chinese officials in 2015 talking about the coronavirus before it even became a pandemic, that is a whopping five years before the world even knew anything about it. Yet we still let China scot free to this day after they are using a virus to genetically and biologically weaponize it.
The WHO should ask the US why it continues to fund gain of function research of bat corona viruses at the Wuhan Lab in China.

Does anyone really know how it spreads? I mean is it airborn, does it stay on surfaces and you get it by touching? If so how long can it exist on a surface?
