      Russell, please tell us that there are several large enterprises producing microchips in Russia. In the West, they believe that Russia is pulling microchips out of washing machines (ha ha) and at the same time in the West they are discussing that Russia's GDP by PPP has bypassed Germany, how do these two theses fit in people in the West in one head?

    Having spent a lifetime in consumer electronics repairs since the early 70's
    i would have enjoyed going around that show.
    They give you a taste of what to expect later in the year, some new products
    take a while to be available to buy.
    Thanks for this video Russell, i would be like a child in a sweet shop!🙂👍💓

    Wow its wonderful to see all this Home Grown technology and gadgets. Russia is at the forefront of Tech. Soon we'll be driving our own cars and not relying on Western imports such as BMW and Mercedes.

      Just to clarify 90 nm is tech process which intel pentium 4 from 2004 been made . 350 mn ... hmm, might be year 1995 , intel 486 , i guess? So ruzzia is lacking behind 30 years now from civilization.

    Hi Russel. Love your videos mate. I'm a South African that's been working and living in China for 17 years now. Went to Russia in 2019 and fell in love with it. Going to Vladivostok in July for holiday. I watch all your videos. I have a question for you. I really hope you can answer it. Can I still use UnionPay cards at ATM's there?

      Information about using UnionPay cards in Russia is different everywhere on the Internet. It all depends on the bank that issued the card. It is better to find out everything from your bank info center.
      In Russia, UnionPay cards usually work at Gazprombank ATMs.

    Professor, please do not under estimate the Value you bring to the table! Example… you inspire me to dig through my recent Apple iPhone series 15… bit by bit, I’ll have connectivity my way with Google vis-a-vis my security camera feeds… there sources! The tower plug -up was hallarious! Yes… that’s a critical design issue… pre wire the number of accessible bi-polars… and do not allow a stranger to access the gateway you pay for… the satellite on the roof… funny yes!     It's ridiculius but in USA you have to not only get a CB license but you have ro be certified - yet internet, which is way more cimplicated - is even free for children to use.

      Kids in Russia learn English , some schools have two foreign languages They might be English and German or English and French My son learnt English and French He is able to have a chat with English speaking people on the Net , he will not get lost in Paris:) He can read signs :) Well, frankly speaking , learning Chinese and Arabian are more popular these days I know quite a number of teens who have extra classes learning Chinese I live in a small city , we dont have the Arabian language teacher

    Chicago was the leader for conventions in the United States
    Grew much larger in the 1960's
    Likely the world leader early 1970's
    Las Legas took some 1980's - 1990's
    Decline for Chicago about last 15 years
    Sharo decline last 6 years.
    Las Vegas seems to be the leader now.

    Fascinating! The variety and quantity of Chinese manufacturers of electronic equipment is simply staggering. Russia will certainly benefit from its ties to China, and we might be left behind instead.

    What I find most annoying at fairs/shows is that I am immediately approached at Asian booths as soon as I stop and look for just 1 second! That's how I've always experienced here in Germany.

      @@TravellingwithRussell agree but they not pretend to be 'nationally' made. And the west has many his own devices originally designed and developed. Ruzzia has none of them, it just removes chinese labels and calls them 'its own' . That' s st&pid imo.

    I very disappointed that the Chinese Vendors had advertising in English not Russian Cyrillic language. Very insulting for us Russians.

      They probably travel from trade show to trade show, and English is the most universally understood language

    Well, they did their best to hide the fact that 'electronics' means 'chinese' in todays' Russia, but they could only do so much. Where are the russian companies? Even Russel has a hard day to keep his usual cheerful demeanor. Also interesting that many of the chinese guys are more interested in their cellphones than in greeting potential customers (maybe because they know there will not be any).
