this woman deserves an oscar!!!! she is stunning!!!! she is so talented!!! breathtaking acting
Just finished watching. She put her body, mind and soul Huge respect.
Yeah… Oscar worthy performance.
@@sensun5039 it was a great performance just watched it last night
Absolutely not. All involved in this film should be held accountable for exploiting Marilyn in an absolutely AWFUL way. Marilyns last request when she was alive (when being interviewed) was to not make her look like a joke and this film did just the opposite of that. RIP Marilyn, you did not deserve this depiction of you.
literally same. I have never felt so strongly after watching a film before. Absolutely fucking amazing
@@shutupandeatasmr4498 I agree. The movie over stepped on many accounts in regards of decency towards a late talented actress. As an MM fan myself ,I felt that she was stripped away of the diginity in the script. Scenes felt very exploitive and some times tasteless. If we put that all aside, as an individual , as a performer Ana was terrific. She brought Marilyn to life compared to previous actresses who played her.Great actress in a badly made movie.
I’m so proud of her. I’ve seen her grow since her first productions in Spain. She did an amazingly brilliant job as Marilyn. Ana is a bright actress.
That movie bombed
Stephen knows who can handle a serious/deeper interview and I love that he can switch up his style of questions
U mean this isn’t deep?
Yes. He's interviewing the actual person on his set, not interviewing the ditzy flirty role which she plays so well.

Bravo Ana!❤

flawless? of course! Marilyn Monroe had a cuban accent.
She's an amazing performer. Loved the congas as she entered. Ana is riveting in every role she portrays.
They were playing Heat wave by Marilyn Monroe
Yeah, nice touch. Latin conga drums for a Latina performer! And free Hong Kong too, eh?
I really like her personality she is calm and very sincere and thoughtful
It is mind blowing how similar they look in the movie. Both appearance and character
Her acting was just breathtaking ❤️
Knock, Knock, Blade Runner 2049, No Time to Die, Knives Out, The Grey Man and now Blonde. This actor has a beautiful career ahead and behind her. I adore her so much.

I remember when she was first announced to play Marilyn and people were out raged because she is Cuban and she has an accent. That was so infuriating…look at all the actors we have that have accents and are of many different ethnicities. People forget that this is Hollywood, movies are based on fictional characters where the actors creates any type of persona at the snap of a finger. And she is an actress. She did such a phenomenal job. She blew me away.
I couldn’t have said it better! As a Cuban/Spaniard myself, I’d like to say a big THANK YOU for that! You beat me to it.
What are you talking about? Her accent was still there through out the movie so the outrage was justified
Exactly! And what about American actors, British actors, etc. putting on other accents - not a problem apparently. I mean, I just saw Russell Crowe doing an English accent in A Good Year - dreadful! Where was the outrage there?
@@HOAfan11 how is outrage justified just by a movie?
@@HOAfan11 Why did Elizabeth Taylor sound American when she played Cleopatra?
Did Richard Burton, Charlton Heston, Robert Powell, Roddy Mcdowall or John Wayne's accents piss you off when they played all those historical figures?
Reminder that Blonde isn't a biopic, it's a fictional film based on a fictional novel about Marilyn Monroe
Thank you for posting this!👏 I hope viewers remember that the author, Joyce Carol Oates insists that the novel is a work of fiction that should not be regarded as a biography.
Thank You But Just Enjoy The Movie
Most ‘biopics’ are blends of more fiction than fact, so no need for a reminder. Very talented people involved and I wish them well.
Hard pass.
It's fictional but it's still a film based on a real woman's life, who is not alive to consent to this degrading depiction of her.
Amazing how she acted in blonde. She became her. I couldnt believe the talent at certain moments. The way marilyn looked, spoke and behaved. Just amazing. She should get 3 oscars for this film
She should really get more credit for her role in Blade Runner 2049. Spectacular movie that unfortunately doesn’t get enough recognition.
She'll get more credit if she shows more of her tits. 😜
Agreed.
Dang, I forgot that was HER!
Absolutely - Blade Runner 2049 was incredible
Totally agree...Blade Runner 2049 was a masterpiece and I was stunned the film and its stars and Denis Villeneuve didn't get enough praise...all the female characters were fantastic...and especially Ana's performance as Joi.
Ana, such a beautiful person and so down to earth and a great actress.. wishing you much success in your career💓
I am here after watching her mind blowing performance in Blonde. Incredible acting

Just watched it and she was absolutely phenomenal such a heartbreak she was as outstanding 😢
Ana She is incredible in every performance, she is a complete actress
Ana did a great job! She is very beautiful and perfect for the role. Gave Marilyn justice
She is like dream. I mean, is she beauty like this? Man, this woman is so adorable
Her adaptation/depiction is Award Winning 🏆
Yeah, Michele Williams didn't look much like Marilyn, and she was great. That's really not a huge deal in biopics. Ana de Armas really impressed me in Knives Out. And, well, as we saw with Marilyn, beautiful women are often underestimated.
If there is a continuation of the Bond films with a female 007, Ana is the one to play that role.
The race is important. This is a non fiction person. But the subliminal training is real.

Let's add Kate Winslet too ;-)
Effervescent means Bubbly, I nwouldn't use that word to describe a very thoughtful and self reflective actor like Armas.

Sure, no one can BE Marilyn Monroe, just like how no one can truly be anyone else, but Ana damn well tried. And I gotta say, her effort shows; even if the movie was bad, she was the highlight with her impersonation.
All my love to Stephen for such a smooth/great conversation. Ana looks a bit nervous, and its completly understandable because english its not her first language, and promoting a movie portraying one of the most iconic women of the United States must be already quite stresfull... Loving my beautiful latina sister Ana de Armas, i've been a fan since I first saw her in spanish movies when I was a teen 💖 Im really proud of her
Exactly. I can see how nervous she was. And when she ran out of words he took over so she wouldn’t feel uncomfortable or embarrassed
As a makeup artist you get used to looking at the details on every face, and at first you would think they don’t look alike but their eye shapes are extremely similar as well as their noses and lips, the main difference is their jaw shapes
The bridge is similar but the nose tip is what actually throws me off about her look (Ana’s) when comparing her to Marilyn. The rest of the resemblance they’ve created, is very striking. I completely agree about her eye shape & the rest too 😊Excited to watch this next week!!
I think the nose is definitely different. Maybe the lips are the same
The noses aren’t that similar and ana has a shorter mid face
@@Rlrlrl1962 Man, that movie was weird. Not a Marilyn story. Idk who that movie was for. Not for a woman. Maybe for a man? But definitely not in loving memory of Marilyn. I don’t “hate” it like many others. However, it wasn’t what I expected and definitely isn’t what I want to imagine it to be. I don’t really see the point, other than giving Ana de Armas an award 🥇 for her talent. Other than that, nice rack? I guess. I understand it was supposed to portray Marilyn’s downfall like her mothers when she was ill & nude. But….this movie wasn’t as deep as I thought it was supposed to be. Maybe that wasn’t even the intention behind it, and I’m looking for deeper meaning where it should have been. Meh. 14 min standing ovation….I would have stood, clapped, and left quickly for some pizza or anything else. I was not shocked or alarmed as much by the movie as ask…what’s the point of this? Then there be: no answer. Her using the word Daddy so many times was very odd too. While she was known to do that, it more-so exploited in context of her being an orphan than portray any longing for love. The “longing” portion of that was lost in Ana’s 5 year old impression of the word “daddy”. It really lost me in her entire character, both Marilyn and Ana. She became a topless 5 year old and it was fuckin’ gross to witness. I guess it does go to show, those are the women Hollywood has always liked. Topless “5” year olds. It’s probably the portion a lot of men (like that) would say are the sexiest scenes of the movie. Scary.

She is a beautiful woman. I loved here in No Time To Die. I died when I seen her in that blue dress in the movie.
That "please come!" moment was utterly disturbing. I saw it as a sort of desperate conjuring, calling up an unreliable demon familiar. Way more psycho than "Psycho"!
Why would she want the demon familiar to go to her show?
It was a display of the truth about Marilyn Monroe - a dissociative identity of Norma Jean.

Great film. Ana de Armas is PERFECTION 👍👍
Joyce Carol Oates wrote a brilliant novel (as usual). I pray that this honors her great book, "Blonde." It looks good, must say. The book really gets across Marilyn's fragility, and the root causes of her life issues: her tragic relationship with her mother, and her toxic fame.
We only know so much of Marilyn’s fragility and strength due to her short life. This novel and movie is nothing more than a snuff interpretation of a woman everyone is dying to understand and will never have the privilege to.
She was so good
Her english has improved so much, so fast. Coming into 2016’s War Dog, she spoke no English.
Ana De Armas deserves and OSCAR!!! Out of the dozens of actresses who have played Marilyn, I used to think that Poppy Montgomery was the best, but Ana De Armas has dethroned any of the past actresses, as far as looks, personality, and voice. The movie “Blonde” was such a dark, fictitious rendering of her life (Much artistic license from the director and writer), and De Armas had you completely sucked into the character.
She's a good actress. She's having a good long career.
Not really. Much of her fame has come from her looks/youth as much as her acting (some will argue more so).
Even the likes of Julia Roberts and Angelina Jolie have less prominent roles as they age. Bright flames run out of gass sooner. It's more of a shame that she didn't get to this level ten years sooner.
