she deserves all the success in the world. angelic talent.
Knock, Knock, Blade Runner 2049, No Time to Die, Knives Out, The Grey Man and now Blonde. This actor has a beautiful career ahead and behind her. I adore her so much.
People don't give her enough credit for how hard she worked and how fast she achieved English fluency with only a light accent, 8 years. She spoke very little English in 2014 when she first arrived in the US.
Yes exactly! I'm her fan ever since like 2011, when she had a role in Spanish tv series El Internado, she made a tremendous effort since then to achieve success in the US.
I studied english on my own for 8 years, barely talking to anyone except when traveling abroad on holidays, and kind of fooled some brits and americans. I really don't see any great achievement in being bilingual when you have lived in an anglo-saxon country for 8 years. A year living in America or UK will give you better results than 5 years learning at home or at an academy.
It may surprise some americans, but only because they don't normally learn languages.
@@oranjezicht Yes! Been following her since her days as "Carolina" in El Internado. I thought she was a Spanish actress--didn't find out she was Cuban until later.
@@kenc2257 Awesome! She was great there, happy to see I'm not the only one who remembers her from so long ago!
There's something refreshingly genuine and authentic about her. That's rare for actors as talented as she.
Really? I always get the impression she’s extremely fake. But there’s something about her which makes me judge everything she does in a negative way. So it’s probably in my head. I just feel like I can’t read her or sth idk what it is
Or it seems like she has a really different sense of humor than most what I’ve experienced. Maybe that makes me mistrust her
I am so impressed with her speech… I know she worked with a language coach to sound American ( for Blonde) and she does . Wonderful actress too…
I've had a crush on this person ever since 2049, she was so perfect in that part.
You’re from the future?
@@langdonalger9219 bladerunner 2049 ;)
Good to know she'll still look good in 2049.
Get back in line brah!
My crush on her started back in 2010 when I found out about "El Internado". I recommend anyone who is a fan from Ana to watch it.
Ana seems like a person who prioritizes intelligence and quality. She is the type who won't give in for less. Inspiring.
I love that she brought Monroe into being a Bond girl, however subtle it may've been. That's so cool. I'm glad she mentioned that.
How is monroe a Bond girl? Just because ana did that role before? Wym?
Ana de Armas, such an amazing actress!
She is stunning. And what a great and humble person.
Her performance in No Time is stunning. I can’t wait to see Blond.
I will watch this movie for sure now and hope it provides her with more. I can appreciate any performer who is genuine and clearly very intelligent; plus she has a calm frankness and openness that is very compelling.
Ana is , like Marilyn , a spectacular beauty
Not to stir controversy, but I think Marilyn is beautiful and Ana is more beautiful.
So glad that the Late Show is back, thank you Stephen Colbert and team for posting your videos each day!
first i saw her in knives out, bond, blade runner, grey man, all great performance, go girl
She's arguably the most beautiful woman in the world right now. That would be enough on it's own but by God she's also an amazing actress. Let's hope she has a long and stellar career.
she is 1 of them but will never beat Alexandra Daddaria
@@cmatiazzoify Dude, you've just turned a generalization into a personal opinion.
While we've taken it there, personally, I don't even think that Alexandra Daddaria belongs in the same sentence as Ana de Armas...Ana is oceans ahead in terms of beauty.
She's so beautiful 😍 at the same time so talented
Beautiful interview... it was a wonderful transformation... she looked just like her!
I first saw Ana de Armas in the movie "Knock Knock" with Keanu Reeves. She is also blonde in that movie. I really loved her face in that movie, and since then I've followed her.
Nice to see a talented actress ,beautiful and nicely dressed.
Ana De Armas was born for this role. She has imo been the best actress to portray Both, Marylin and Norma Jean.
I remember watching James movie I remember feeling she had Marilyn in there, so glad she mention it
Utterly charming. Can't wait to see the movie.
My god, she is beautiful!
I love Ana after her role in James Bond, then realize she's in these other movies with such great acting...
Ana de Armas is great!
She was great as Paloma, one of my favorite parts in the Bond movie
I'm sure there's some Marylin in there, but Paloma is a character and a half all on her own.
I love Ana DeArmas 💕 😍 bless her soul. 🥰
Such a Lovely Lady.
- ...a Lovely Lady who CAN Act ! 😮😯😮🎨
--- BEST Role of Ana's - 2049.
--- Second Favourite Role of Hers, if not Her Second Best Performance; the Grey Man.
“I just try not to trip”.
Yes, leave that to JLaw.
Loved her in the Bond movie 💋
My goodness, if she is not so perfect! Such a beautiful person!!
She's my wallpaper and if I were single she'd be my lock screen too 😂 I am single. Looking for my Ana 🥰
I would have clapped for 14min too. The movie was too raw and emotional
I suspect that the 14 minute standing ovation was just a subliminal excuse for the film festival audience to get to spend more time with that star... !! She is sublime. Will definitely look for Blonde on the big screen. Nice interview...
To be honest those long ovations stink of snobbery and frivolity to me.
Nobody on planet Earth deserves a 14 minute ovation. Let alone a Hollywood actress.
Blonde was released on Netflix.
¡Bravo Ana! Very classy!!!
Loved her cameo in the last Bond flick.
Best part of that movie by far
So classy and eloquent..
She's so lovely
Stephen's in lovvve 😍
Norma Jean, Smiling ☺️ 💫
She's the best part of No Time To Die
Good to see she doesn’t hide the fact that she is Cuban, as Cameron Diaz did so expertly. 👍🏻
That's stupid. DIAZ would have changed her last name if that had been the case. She wasn't hiding anything.
I don't think that Diaz even speaks Spanish (but, if she's Cuban but grew up in the USA, that wouldn't be unusual).
Im in love
@lilmil. Take a number, Pal. Mine is ahead of you 😊.
I'm a fan, hope for continued success.
I love her
She’s awsome
Oscar Winner 😍😘
It looked so real when Stephen shook her hand. They must have upgraded her since 2049.
Yep. I knew her file was backed up, somewhere.
"The best thing that can happen is that xou know you get that reaction. Your just don't expect that it's gonna be that long."
Un orgullo Latino
She completely steals the scene in No Time to Die. I love how it was a mini Knives Out reunion. Daniel Craig must like his working with costars because Dave Bautista Glass Onion.
I ve had a crush on this person ever since 2049
la bella cubana
Lovely, composed, authentic, Unpretentious… 🫶🏻 🖖🏼 🥂
No fake news here. She is the real deal.
Yhp... she's pretty.
Yo yendo a ver No time to die de nuevo 🏃🏻♂️
It should have been called 007 "No Time to Rest"
I am sorry Dakota Johnson, but you will have to share "my obsession" with Ana de Armas these days. I am sure you two will get along just fine.
When they make an emminator of Joi I will be first in line to buy...
I thought she looked VERY lifelike on this Colbert show--that "handshake" when she first came on stage was almost perfect.
wow, big get for Stephen
Lllooooveeeee herrrr
Lover you Ana!! Been a Simp since Blade Runner. At your service my queen.
Lol
Application denied.
"the audience doesn't lie" : Meanwhile the applause button lit up
Ana is more beautiful than jlo, very down to earth!
These overly long applauses and standing ovations are getting ridiculous. I already feel awkward when people sing "happy birthday" to me which lasts half a minute... what do you do in these 14 minutes?
WHEN DOES SHE START FILMING BALLERINA?? :'(
Affleck! Did you really swap Ana to Jennifer? Ufff What a big mistake!!!!
Fr fr fr. 👍👍👍
I think she used him lol
That's neither an upgrade nor a downgrade.
@@matrix2297 Gtfoh. He used her. Affleck used her as a final character development relationship to finally marry Jennifer. Ana was used.
@@jahinmahbub8237 He and JLo won't last mark my words.
Ana hadn't dated one Hollywood A-lister before him and it boosted her profile. Ben doesn't need to use anyone for anything. He's Ben Affleck. Plus, he cheated on his wife Jennifer Garner with the nanny for crying out loud, the man has issues and was probably awestruck she gave him attention.
Fun fact: Her last name means 'dear' in finnish.
And it means 'weapons' in Spanish. Or 'of weapons' if you count the 'de'.
@@joaopmparreira no wonder she was so good in James Bond!
@@falxonPSN and the gray man
"Armas" in Finnish means "true love". "Dear" is "rakas"
@@walu_b I meant as an adjective. For example in a christmas carol: "Armas joulu jo kutsuu meitä..."
😍
3:27 is that a piece or they just jam on the spot, whatever's the case it's fire!
I want to see a CIA agent spin-off of her character that takes place after No Time to Die.
Go watch Blade Runner 2049
I still like movies. I look forward to seeing unaltered movies soon.
Can't believe you didn't mention 2049.
That movie was a Joi to watch...
"I try not to trip" sounds like a joke, but then you remember Jason DeRulo.
That reminded me of Spencer Tracy.
My friend 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Love her from 2049 ,, pity she's not real
Almost lifelike. Just don't forget to backup her file...
@@kenc2257 🤣🤣 that's a good tip
WTF Colbert team: LABEL THESE MULTI PART INTERVIEWS as PART 1, PART 2, etc.!!!!
Why? They are randoms cuts. They aren’t uploading the whole thing so we don’t need parts
mate! cool ,
Is this about that time I had Jared eat butter?
Анька о такой только в фантазиях можно мечтать.
No Hispanic celebrates Hispanic heritage month Stephen, this is an American holiday so the Americans feel like they are paying respect to Hispanic culture.
15 min stranding ovations is a bit much
Maybe a Venetian stage hand fell asleep on the applause sign button ...
I heard she just learned English??? That can't be right. If so, that's unreal.
In 2014
@@margotrobbie8582 Fair enough. Still a really great job on her part. Mastering English is tough, cuz our language is RIDICULOUS! 😂
Wonderful performance, Oscar worthy, but let's face it. Horrible "fetish" movie.
How does a 14 min standing ovation reconcile with 50% on RT and 55 on metacritic
Because the audience in Venecia is different from a worlwide audience? It seems quite simple to me... Besides, the movie has had mixed opinions, whereas everyone agrees on her wonderful perfomance. Maybe in Venecia they just wanted to congratulate Ana.
Take the ovations at film festivals with a grain of salt they always clap for a long time at festivals no matter if its bad or not
And Stephen, do you know the difference between you and Alex Jones? One is tail other the head.
How hard did she try not to loose it while playing that fake Marilyn movie. Shes an amazing actress but that movie was horrrrible. I cant believe she agreed to all of it. Only makes me sad that marilyn was portrayed in such a sad way being the icon that she was. 😭😭😢😢😢😥😥😥
First ana fan🎉
Ela precisa de uma equipe melhor de PR. Urgente

Stephen, i'm talking to you, well not really this is al virtual and i don't even know you. But Stephen i'm gonna call you back when i get my Cell Phone back.
Man I love Stephen but he is really talking way too much in this interview, he did about 80% of all the talking and we really don’t wanna hear him talking. We want to hear Anna speak. Please stop talking, Stephen.!!!! we know you’re smart and we love your viewpoints, but not right now we want to hear Ana!!!!!!!
Seems like she's trying to be intellectual. Just be urself. That's all anybody wants
Chinless wonder
Shes no marilyn monroe btw!
She's way prettier than Norma.
No she's not. Marilyn is dead.
@@B-ch6uk Did she, I hear her laughter in every post of someone wearing a mask.
