Nice. Going for my first blast here on Saturday, only had my bike a few months so far and not done anything like this yet. My mate seems to have overcooked it a bit describing it to me, so nice to be reassured the skill level required here.
Excellent video (including music!) I agree entirely with your opinion on Sh'Pines, I'm lucky enough to live 20 mins drive away and I started here when I first got in MTB'ing. I was initially nervous of not knowing how to handle the bike but I've gained not only loads of skills but also a lot of fitness as its a lot of pedalling to keep the speed up (which I love). The simplicity of the place is great for beginners and allowed me to ride confidently when I progressed to places like Cannock Chase, Winlatter and Swinley Forest to name a few. I'm ashamed to say tho I haven't used the bike park as I have a Scott Scale 26er Hardtail and I doubt it would be as good as yours over the jumps with the upright riding position. But keep up the good videos.
Apart from the jumps Dr Jekyll really is the veritable sledgehammer to crack the nut round there. 😜 That said, great critique. I agree with everything you said. Keep it up 👌
gisburn forest i know theres loads of vids on utube of it but ye gisburn forest its in ribble valley (clitheroe) then the mountain bike centre (bacup/Rottenstall)
If it was local it would be nice as I have little on the doorstep and my level is still low anyway. As it is, the FOD is the same distance which I did today and the chase is about half the distance.
the FOD is a great place to ride and I’m very familiar with the trails there and I know a lot of Tempe hidden gems around that area... so there will be a trail guide vlog coming of the FOD in the future.
Jay I’d say it’s a great place to get kids used to riding proper mtb trails. Just as a long as they’re pretty active it can be a long ride for some children.
Nice video 👍👍👍

@@TheHeadAngle Looking forward to it then, was a great place but a few sections are well beyond me at the minute.
The FOD has a lot of varied trails I think it’s the sort of place that could need a couple of different videos to do it Justice.
good vid mate
Good Video
Is there bike rentals? Cause I won’t be able to take my bike down to Nottinghamshire
Yes
Can kids ride the sherwoods pine?

Greno woods
That’s on the list to do soon
Anyone who comes here and thinks it's too easy should be getting into the top 1% on strava or they're not as good as they think they are
