No matter if the roads are narrow but there should be good broad footpaths. I really like that about China. And I also like that there are separate lanes for 2w and rikshaws in main roads. That’s really good and probably fewer accidents because of that.

Here are some of the instructions you need to follow as China is a socialist country unlike others.
1. Chinese don’t like calling honkong and Macao as different countries as obviously they are part of China with the administrative arrangement of one country two systems.
2. For chinese all men women rich poor etc are all equal. No discrimination. So Chinese are very polite unlike capitalist countries where they behave like master slave.
3. Chinese don’t take anything for free.
4. Chinese know that Buddhism came from India and don’t like to be reminded again and again.
5. We Chinese humbly accept that shanghai is chota mumbai and china is chota India.
6. Chinese don’t speak English as china was not colonized. It was only a European neo colony with 100 years of humiliation for which we fought brutal civil war unlike you for ahimsa independence. So please respect Chinese sentiments against European languages when you are in china..

M from Malaysia. Try asking them for vegetarian restaurants. We have alot of Chinese vegetarian restaurants in Malaysia . M sure yr Google translator will give u. 素 look for that sign outside the restaurant or show them that word. Hope u don't starve. M sure u'll love Chinese vegetarian.

In China, there are very few "tuk-tuks," if any. They are mainly used for two purposes: First, they are provided as a benefit for disabled individuals, allowing them to drive these vehicles for easier mobility and to increase their income. Second, they are used by courier companies to deliver packages quickly into narrow streets and alleys, ensuring that goods reach residents promptly.
I disagree with taxi thing. It’s quite expensive. Just as an example, I took a taxi from pudong airport to hongqiao Hilton and that guy took 400 yuan for that drive. I guess it is around 50kms. It’s 4600INR. I know I cannot compare this to Indian services but just wanted to mention it as I felt that it is not cheap. The distance from my home to airport in Bangalore is also around 50kms and the premium cab costs me 1200INR that’s like 105 yuan (these are nearly similar to normal cabs in China just for comparison). Normal cab will cost me 900INR, that’s like 80 yuan.. But I agree that public transport is quite cheap at par with Bangalore (public transport in Bangalore is the most expensive of all cities in India)..
