- MORE prowler videos, I know. You tired of it yet? Well play more prowler and maybe you wont be. Anyway I know Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate is like 5 years old at this point, and making videos for a game this old is largely useless; however I am having a lot of fun now that the cope edition mod is out and it makes low tier weapons more viable. Its really reinvigorated me into playing cats. So if you wanna get into cats, heres a quick started guide.

Support gauge fills faster
Furr-ious Flurry (X+A, X, X, X... X+A) = 8×n + 30
Beast:
Forward Claws (X1) = 10x2 (Element = 0.7x2 = 1.4)
Triple Hook (X2) = 8x3 (Element = 0.5x3 = 1.5)
Backflip (X3) = 11x2 (Element = 0.7x2 = 1.4)
Finisher (X4) = 10x4 (Element = 1.0x4 = 4)
Frontflip (A1) = 12x2 (Element = 0.7x2 = 1.4)
Forward Thrust (A2) = 5+5+7+7 (Element = 0.5x4 = 2)

You do us a disservice by not including Healing cats in your analysis. They have the triple boomerangs combo, higher defense than most other boomerang cats (maybe THE highest defense), and True Health Horn recovers a bunch of health and throws you into SP mode for a relatively cheap 3 support guage.
On top of that you can use all heal horns a second time for an addition of a herb level heal.
I'd like to add that, yes, although Charisma is _best_ suited as a Palico than Prowler, if for whatever reason your group is going all Prowler, having one of them as Charisma will be an immense boon.

I was getting back into G U and was rethinking my prowler idea into a more pure melee cat

Man, Prowlers would be insane if they came back in Rise Sunbreak.
Once you complete a certain request line, you get the ability to easily swap skills and moves on your Palicoes and Palamutes, and no longer need to re-roll for those perfect skills. You just need to acquire cats with the skills, unlock them, and then BOOM! You can build the perfect cat (or dog) with ease. Really, all you need is one cat of each type (maybe two Gathering cats for expeditions) and two dogs.
well im 10 months late, but hey at least it did make it into the game! (exept prowlers)
Honestly old school monster hunter holds up even to the newer releases from wolrd onwards.

high defense, a massive heal that forces SP state for a cheap cost, and a third boomerang combo
this cat imo is effectively the best boomerang cat but it is interchangeable for gathering cat
Getting back into Monster Hunter after a very long hiatus, so this is a good guide to get back into the Prowler for GU.

Prowlers or Phem, the example sequences for both 'moves' and 'skills' can be found in one palico? or am i asking too much to have both, for example the 'protection' cat, ABBC (moves) +BBBCC (skills) in one palico?

Good run down on what each bias does, terrible builds on all. Interesting that you know how Go Fight Win can making healing moves (specifically Soothing Roll and Emergency Retreat) spammable, but you don't bother recommending it to all builds.
Little confused on the assist/gather cat page since it lists ABCC as the active skills but everywhere online the closest xonfigurations are ABBC and ABCCC?
Charisma cats actually can use aerial dodge too during palico rally I believe

@@GadgetGabe Yeah, even with cope edition it still isn''t that useful, fighter is just straight better, for prowler I just make an gathering and protect prowlers for boomerang, bomb for pure bomb and for melee beast and fighter
@@luiscesarmariafilho9475 The problem is the lower melee and ranged multipliers innate on the type, it's the same issue with vanilla GU's Chargeblade styles where Striker is the only style with a higher attack multiplier on charged shield, innately dealing a multiplier of less damage is a big detriment, nevermind -11% melee or -17% ranged.
I have tried getting the cope edition mod to work on my Yuzu emulator and although the emu is recognizing it and has it in the games properties I don't actually think the mod is working anymore. I have been using GL to test it and in the mod it says shelling no longer builds the heat gauge but mine still does regardless of what I have tried to do with the mod. =/
Ahoy i have a question, how do you build ur bomber cat bcs i wanna use those too in my prowler only playthrough. Any recommendations or quick sheat like you did on the other classes would be nice
My game won’t let me send ranged attack up from one padlock to another. Is it because it’s a DLC cat?

Heal cats are tankier gathering cats. I love them lol

Switch Axe is at worst mid tier since it’s still better then like half the weapons like insect glaive plus prowler
Despite Prowlers being very weak, completing GU with only prowler was the easiest time I've ever had in MH game. No joke. I remember suffering with Brave LBG on Lao Shan and Ahtal-Ka, but with Prowler? A breeze!

No you dont suck lmao. GU was my first ever monster hunter game and i just wasnt able to beat this damn Blangonga with hunter. But once i switched to prowler: the easiest fight of my life. Played through all of it with prowler and it was so much fun! Never touched hunter again.
World was my 2nd game and after that Rise/Sunbreak. In World i got really good at CB and in Rise/Sunbreak DBs were my go to, cuz they deal insane elemental damage. Even got some speedruns off!
But Prowler will forever be my favourite! I hope it returns someday
@@Sacred_Korok69 by "I suck" I meant "the only reason I beat MHGU is because of broken Brave LBG or a bit less broken Prowler". I know I'm being overdramatic, but it feels like Prowler mode carried me. And this feeling like I've beaten something because I used something strong and not because of my own skill... It doesn't feel good
Thanks, thought. It's nice to see I'm not the only one to think Prowler mode is both fun and strong, if not a bit casual. I loved it when it took my friend 5+ hunts to get a full set and for me it's 2 hunts top for a full palico set, lol

I've just literally bought this game and haven't played since I went from Size Crown grind in G to playing World so the controls are confusing, trying to get a Decent Beast prowler going but I'm struggling to find a decent start that isn't a horribly coloured cat xD

Wait they nerfed Prowlers? Are u sure I've seen no difference and I use em all the time back on Generations, I got Ultimate just yesterday and transferred data to switch so now I'm looking for a suggestion on Beast mode prowler

I have all of them and would be willing to share. I usually manage setting up a hub to send them via reddit dms though. You should be able to find the post by searching the MHGU sub or my username

I use charisma prowler more as an insect glaive. It has ability to bounce off of monsters with it's enhanced dodge it's good for mounting not no bitch ass support cat for me
