I done the freestyle camp in September this year and can vouch Jens and Josh who trained us are unreal teachers, the knowledge and just overall teaching ability is second to none. Seeing what they can do on skis is very inspiring. Seeing Josh do a casual backflip like its nothing. BUT... Don't do what I did and set high goals which just might not be achievable which caused me to got in my own head, causing me to get annoyed with myself and I made life harder. But I am so tempted to get back on a camp early next year 😬😝🤙
Thank you for the kind words. I thought about making some video about that sort of mental stuff but don't know when to make it. Have a nice winter man! :)
I have learned a lot from watching these I can hit almost every feature at my local resort and I am just now starting to work on more of the technical and flat tricks like butters but I would like to learn how to hit a pole jam that and the wall ride are the only 2 features I can’t quite seem to figure out
I need some freestyle skis, if you have stiff all mountain skis like me DO NIT TRY THIS AT THE TOP IF THE MOUNTAIN or you will be skiing down on 1 ski trying to find your other one at the bottom like me.
Can you make a video on how physically able a person should be todo certain tricks. I feel like I am pretty fit and am a good skier but I lack strength to be able to do some of the smaller tricks that I would like todo. It would be nice to see what I have to do to get into the right physical shape to do those tricks. Thanks, and keep up the awesome videos! I can’t wait to put them to work once I get on the slopes!
Hey Jens, I wondered if you have done a video on riding switch ( If, I havent found it yet) I really strugge with carving switch elegantly and with the landings in switch. Thanks for your videos, great stuff keep it up!
Yo this came out perfect, im skiing on bent chetlers since this season and am very happy with them however the little powder there is i was wondering if i could learn some tricks... and there is jens telling me its doable! Greetings from Arosa-Lenz :)
Hey, my bindings are always releasing when trying this. I am pretty sure my dins are set to the right amount and my line chronicle should also be pretty good for buttering? So is it maybe that I am just lacking the rolling back motion? Or are normal Din settings just not enough for buttering?
Make sure your dins are high enough. haha. Took my dins from a 12-9 this year since I just don't charge that hard anymore. Tried to nose butter off a cat track and released out of one of my skis lol.
Hi, I also love freeride and freestyle but I don't understand this very well in English or I write with google translator and I was wondering if I could upload videos in Spanish.
Hahah, just tried a simple nose butter today on the flat, and popped out my bindings, I'm going to keep trying and get that sweet sweet nose butter 180
Thank you for all your tips! But I’ve got a question : I’ve just bought K2 poachers and I positioned my bindings a little bit backwards (the position which was originally suggested) but it’s quite hard to nose butter with my new skis : /. So here is my question, what is the cause ? lack of practice or the position of the bindings really impacts our movements? Thank you all guys for your answers !
I've been skiing for a while now and now it has come to a point where I'd like to bux my first freeride / all mountain skis to have a better experience off-piste. Today I came across an Atomic Vantage 100 for sale and thought it might be an ideal choice after watching quite a few Stomp it vids. I just don't know who to ask about it. Can you guys help me out w this?
I tried to stand on my nose tips today. I really put a lot of force into it, I leaned forward as hard as a could and i lifted my tails.... and my boots popped out of my skis!!!! does this mean my VIN needs to be even HIGHER? I think it's at 6.5 maybe 7 right now.
what skis are good to buy for flexible, light and have fun in the mountain? I have FACTION CANDIDE 2.0 19 right now but I find them a bit too heavy and not very flex
Does the stiffness of the ski boot impact your ability to butter? I have fairly soft skis (110 flex) considering my general ski ability and struggle to get to enough pressure into the ski tips. Not sure if its just bad technique or if my boot flex is hindering things.
110 should be fine tbh, unless you’re really heavy/tall. More important is having a good snug fit because this trick does require a lot of feel and finesse
Hi! Help me please with some advice!? With which bindings can I do this trick? For safety and for safety of this bindings first. And which ski I should use? Special for freestyle/park or it possible even on Rossi EXP 84 ‘21 for example?
It's possible to do them woth any skis as long as it is quite flexy and the bindings are mounted centered. And for the bindings it doesn't matter as long as you set up your din properly so you don't face plant out of the bindings while trying to butter
I’m wondering if this is even possible on my skis. (At least on flat ground). Is there a way to tell if skis can butter before I buy them? Currently skiing 2023 Armada ARV 86s
I did exactly that on my Blends today with Marker Griffon 13 trying to learn nosebutter. Heel clicks off. My recommended Din setting is 6. Should i crank it to say 8 or just practice my technique ?
Timing is impeccable! Was looking for an updated nose butter video! Also, a question about the BC100s. Do they ski short due to the rocker and light weight?
Hi there, are your skis the Bent Chetlers 100? I´m about to buy ones, but not sure about the length, I´,m 175 cm tall, 65 kg, intermediate, do essentially out of post around the slopes, some free ride and some skim. Want to introduce into snowparl also. Should I get the 180s or the 172s? Thanks.
Great video! I have the exact Bent 100's you are using in the video. With that said, they are in the factory recommended setup which leaves a lot of real estate for the noses. With this setup, is it more difficult to nose butter? I've attempted to throw my weight forward and have a tough time finding a stable position in the butter. I was thinking I likely need more pop and to really test those noses given they are not centre mounted but curious on your thoughts since you own these skis as well!
Hey do you get scuffs on your twin tips because I just got mine and I see your skis looking mighty fine but I’m nervous there gonna get scratched at the top
Every time I try doing the nollie type maneuver in a standing position, the amount of weight that's applied to my shin - specifically where it meets the boot - is too much to handle, and honestly makes me feel afraid I'm going to break my legs. Is that normal, or do I need to distribute my weight a bit differently?
@@ConnorFilmsss try to really pop up and throw your head forward OVER your skiis. And don’t be afraid to go head over heals. Hope this helps. Also, when doing the nollie itself, make the movement like the you are lift your front skiis up and throwing your back skiis forwards
I don't get it. I have two sets of skis, Volkl Ledge and Line HoneyBadger and I literally can't roll onto the noses like him, not even close. I have to put my arms in front of me like I'm reaching something for my dear life to save myself. What am I doing wrong? Boot is almost in center, stifness is 110. Although I can tail butter no problems untill my shins are sore for a week 😀

Try the trick called "alley oop" on a wall ride
Thanks for tutorial im skiing now and i wanted to learn nose butter thank you❤️😁👍🏻
You’re welcome 😊
Jens is so buttery. So much butter that he turns your popcorn into mush. Wow. Great video!

I've watched quite a bit of your videos. I like your subtle humor you bring.
your tutorials are very helpful and i think i progressed a ton

If the heel piece is releasing it's the forward pressure that's too low, not the the DIN.

Same story with poacher
The poacher is a very stiff ski for a freestyle ski, most likely the cause
@@redtoothbrush7677 but people do butters with k2 poacher. I think it depends on practice.
@@egor9526 well yeah. but it’s quite hard to learn your first butter on poachers, since they are way better at faster speeds

What is the boot flex rating that you are using? Thanks.
Butter any equipment eh? 10/10 to anyone that can do this on telemarks
do we need special skis, boots settings to do this?
do i need to have a type twin tips skis to do nose butters without them snapping

What is the point of ski pokes when they are at the length of your waist
Anyone thinks a nose butter possible with race skis? I would love to do one, but I can't seem get into the position of a nose butter.
