Great video! No annoying music or talking!

Very true...I remember watching a Utube Grizzly Bear fight in the wilderness...probably one of the greatest natural bear fights ever recorded...sadly the guy filming it ruined everything by flapping his big YAPPER all the way through it!

Top Landung bei den Bedingungen!
Welche Bedingungen? Wetter scheint gut zu sein. Landung war aber wirklich gut.
Du hast schon die starken Seitenwinde bemerkt? Hierzu der rote Fadem…
@@thorben7609bullshit.
Wow, turbulence in a light aircraft with a huge wingspan? I've never heard of such a thing before 😂

Amazing.
I assume he missed a very important section in the POH, if not a placard on the dash
Good Lord, that glider was shaking like my grandma having a bad day.
🙈
People shake when they have bad days? Uhhh
@@PhantomPanic they do when they're in their 80s and have Parkinson's disease.
Sudden winds, strong winds, make pilots brave
Brave pilot. Landed without any engines.
Gliders always do so, haha....
C est le but d un planeur😂😂😂
Not only that, he took off without engines too!
Mais c est le but d un planeur!😭🤣🤣🤣
He should get an award for saving all passengers on board, our airline pilots are heroes
English: By doing the slip, the tail assembly dives into the wake turbulence of the own wings.
dude a slip TURNS THE SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE ( INTO A BARN DOOR) which then causes massive drag
@@MikeSmith-do5guand?
@@MikeSmith-do5gu And what's more, your angle of attack is changing. Result? You can't possibly stall many gliders during a slip. Which is a hell of a big deal.
Thank you for explaning. I got nightmares of flutter, or damage you do not want, and..... NOBODY here gave an explanation.
@@voornaam3191 No worries, I have to slip at the final approach of my home airfield all the time because on final I have to come down a hill for a downslopping runway. So 80% of my final approaches in this LSA are slipped. This trembling of the small aircraft is common when slipping with landing flaps full extended to 50°. Answer to it: The tail is in the turbulence of the wing and when flaps are extended, the turbulence is even bigger.
Very good. You will have no trouble flying big jets.
He knows exactly what he is doing.. His dad flew Comet4's for DanAir London.
Flamed
😊
You young man are going to make a fine pilot.....
Unexpected crosswind! that dirty wind sock! 😂
He kept his cool & refused to panic! 👏👏👏
Perfekter side-Slip! 💪🏼 Good Job

I'm sorry for my poor English, I'm also training with this aircraft in Japan, so I may understand the feelings of this pilot a little.
Can you tell me what kind of aircraft is? Hello from Massachusetts

@@ramirotirado3274it's a normal glider
That was an extremely surprisingly flawless touchdown considering the dramatic and seemingly uncontrollable fall lmao. Nice one
Wow, was für eine saubere Landung. Klasse🎉
This is a 'Puchacz' glider, it has no flaps.
🤔
Nicely done lad, saw a whisper of fear on your face for a moment, I think that's good, keeps you focussed.
And I bet the cockpit pongs a bit too.
Check all screws in that aircraft after that vibration
😮
Beeindruckend
That was a great recovery. Cool, calm and collected to a safe landing.
😊
WELL DONE 👍🏼 gliders are more prone to stalling when the bank angle exceeds 5°, especially when crabbing or slipping it. Fantastic job, maintaining composure, not panicking, and that landing was smooth as butter!!
😮
Well done, you didn't panic, you kept calm and focused, key to surviving.
I made my first solo glider flight a week ago in Fayence and I'm the same age as you lol
😊
Bro. You know what you’re doing. Just like me 😎
If you push that old glider into a slip at 130kph surely it will vibrate a lot.
Respect, cool job buddy❤
The energy management skills demonstrated by glider pilots is crazy, It was the wildest thing going up in one and seeing this in person . Impressive work
🎉
He is so cool. Congrats 👏
🎉
Shoulder view is crazy. Face view -he's cool as a cucumber. Wow!
Gotta love the little bit of red yarn with packing tape as a crosswind device 😅
🤫
😅
It's a yawstring. Tells you what you are doing, not the wind
Nice recovery kid and btw the skills you kesrn from gliding come big in ha dy when these big Airliners go hiring new pilots youll be first draft pick
Champion, remained calm well done.❤
As a layman with no experience, this looks sketchy as hell.
Not only as a layman 🤣
I assume the vibration comes from the turbulent air from the spoilers hitting the elevators during the slip, as these are in a relatively low position on that glider (Puchacz). On T-tails (like most gliders have) you would experience that at high angles of attack just before stalling.
These Germans hold all the glider knowledge in the world. I only flew in a glider once and I felt that....I think its flutter. I did a slip and burned off 2000 feet just like he is doing....I thought for a second the piece of crap was coming apart.
Ask-21 on the other hand is an interesting beast. I went up with a flight instructor to test out some things... I am 2 or 3 kilos over the minimum weight, instructor wasn't heavy either, so the cg is quite far back. Full leg in, full opposite aileron and full back pressure on the stick, the thing flew perfectly level buffeting slightly and losing a lot of height, in an agressive slip obviously... Didn't even think of stalling or spinning. After that I am assured you can't depart that plane, even if you really tried.
Too fast
Same thing I thought!
👍🏼
It's oscillating due to the harmonic resonance of the wind and the wings bouncing up and down. It's the frequency of the wind plus the build of the wings.
Hab ich früher auch gemacht. Geht bis man 18 ist, dann wieder ab 60. Dazwischen fliegt man was mit Motor, weil man ja nicht von 8-20 auf dem Flugplatz rumlungern will.
Now that's a pilot, sail gliding is the ultimate in flying, all-natural, flying..
Serious crabbing and awesome slipping. Well done. Very impressive. My helmet’s off to you!!!🤙🤙🤙🚁🚁🚁
🤗
He made that glider fall like a rock, incredible!
😮
Wahnsinn!

Calm and collected. Operating in high pressure conditions with a resting BP is a recipe for a successful life. Way to. That’s the way to enjoy a pleasant plung.
👍🏼
Perfect! Nice job,… enjoy your next flight.
The sailplane was vibrating because it was in a slip, leading to disturbed airflow around the A/C.
Intentionally induced by the pilot to cope with a crosswind. Puch airbrakes arre quite powerful. Pilot still needed to slip cos X-wind else he would have drifted downwind. Perhaps off the Rwy.
Commercial certificate, CFI-G >2 decades, 2000+ hrs PIC in sailplanes. Over 200 in Puchacz - we had 2.
I have a few hundred hours of flight and 15K + hours of simulation... Ur always learning forever when it comes to aviation.. must be humble
I replayed this, at start of vid a string Left-to-Right wind shows up. He did a left slip. He turned Ailerons Left (confirmed by him moving stick Left) & input Right Rudder.
Disclaimer--I flew gliders with the Boeing recreation division north of the 777 plant at Arlington Airport. Super job wrestling that landing
👍🏼
wie er hier arbeitet... respekt.
It looks like flutter but thankfully only for a short time. Check all your linkages/fixing throughly I think.
Done!
Good job keeping it together dude.
Don't care if i had enough hours to fly alone glide or fly passengers, id still get excited and cheer for my landin.
Done well to control that 👌👍🏻
On the 152 and 172 (I think it was both) forward slips with full flaps were prohibited because the turbulent flow from the main wing on full flaps could interfere with elevator authority.
On those aircraft, the chord lines of the main wing and elevator were at different elevations on the fuselage.
On your glider, it looks like they're totally in - line, making it much more sketchy
👍🏼
🎉
👍🏼
Sehr sehr krass! Können sich einige was von abschneiden
Awesome !👍🏻👍🏻. It broght emotion to the flight ...
Oh so this is why they tell you not to put out the spoilers while doing a slip in a Puchaz. Not that it is dangerous but that this glider may give you a shaky surprise. Nice to see this young pilot kept it together stayed focused and made an awesome landing. Good stuff man.
Beautiful job man took the nerves right out of it
Good Control .... Respect!
Butter landing lad 👏👏
It looks as a SZD50-3 Puchacz. This glider "hates" glissages. Besides that, due to its efficient sppiler system, it"s no needed add slip. Just full brakes with simultaneous nose down.
🎉
A good side slip often produces vibration like the pilot in the video is experiencing, its un nerving but its not dangerous, i have had the same level kf vibration in a ask21, ka8b, shemp herth std cirrus, ect
He really young, but so professional. It's amazing.....
So great to see, I am a gliding Pilot and tha feeling you get while slipping is so much fun 😊😊😊
I’m remember those days when I was 13 got my license😂😂
Any landing you can walk away is a good landing.
Handled it like a boss!
Modern plastic gliders slips very bad. A lot of vibrations, unstable, and a gain in sink rate which is not very significant. Whereas with old gliders, slipping is a real pleasure 😊
Nicely done man thats gotta be scary
I was thinking this was a helicopter auto rotation for a few seconds!
People who thought that he going to crash when he was going down
Well done young man!
Oh No Mr Bill. Runway's covered in Solar Panels !
Scary vibration? What a bu..it! It's simply turbulent!!!
Thats also in the 172 poh saying that vibrations may be felt if slip with full flaps. Vibrations may be felt but doesnt decrease el effectiveness. I slip with flaps all da time
🤭
Gut ausgeglichen 😉
Holy crap, that was really impressive
Great composure. Steady nerves.. great job
Wing extensions during any kind of slip tend to cause buffetting which can unfortunately cause potential damage to the air craft
That looked like you had two rabbits going at it on the back seat !
Look at the air speed indicator during the buffeting ? Mystery solved !
glider wings flappin like a bird 😂
Good job handling that.
The red string in the middle of the windshield is a “Yaw String”.
Dude. Up there with no Engine?? You sir, have Balls of Steel! 😳✈️🌌
You are still alive. That's a good landing.
Would love to see a video on where and how u take off with this
👍🏼
Well done!
Better get that checked out ASAP
Nice landing 🛬
Good job. Nice and safe.
