Certainly has worked. I've been busy getting hands on flying a B757 for the last year. But this summer I'm certainly going back in and I'm sure she'll join me 😁!
She was definitely a lot calmer by the end I'd say. Well done. She noticed the rapid tongue too... I wonder if she was thinking the same as me... .... 'is that his next planned manoeuvre?' :-) Smashing video, really enjoyed watching, thanks for posting. ..
Ha. Her laughter turned to a smile. The smile turned to a vague smile. That morphed into pursed lips and finally finished up with a ‘Get me back on the ground!’ expression.
*It is noted that the young girl is not used to flying in an acrobatic way, it is a matter of hours of flight. My congratulations to the pilot, his face was one of happiness. Angel.*
Wow great video! I'm here after watching one of James Asquiths video about aerobatic flying! I always wonder how it feels haha but, nope, Im not an adventurous type so... I'll just watch it from here hehe
@@robbarron4066 Well done! At one point my instructor banged my "bone dome", "Never stop turning your head! This bitch will KILL you!. I have control.".....then he did a 4 point hesitation roll in the circuit at 800 ft. He was the Chief Instructor, so WHO was going to tell him off? I was the only one to paint his bone dome bright red, and the only one to be given a Permanent Commission. I flew more hours than the rest. The RAF were brilliant, always respectful of us, and knowing we risked dying 2 times a day. Not heroes, but people you would want on your side if things went sideways. CAVU skies to you!
I've never done any aerobatics, but even the weightlessness and stalls I've done with her nervous/scared/excited. She loves roller coasters but she said there's something about diving down and NOTHING is in front of you. No road, no rails, NOTHING.
Good pilot - always keeping that head turning, looking out for other aircraft. Cute girl with great attitude! Aeros RULE! Built an aerobatic biplane myself. Lots of money. CAVU skies to all pilots.
Thanks bro! Will try and keep the content coming through. Post COVID19 I am hoping to get back in the air over the next couple of months... but the day job and home improvements have been getting in the way! 😂
Nope, she took it out... But I stopped it, opened up the vents and did some level flying! It certainly the sign to pack it in and get back on the ground!
A Stall turn is exactly that as defined in aerobatics, the wings stall and it will go either way, left, or right, that is the definition of a stall TURN. A hammerhead though is an intentional vertical stall that will lead to the plane inverted upside down or flipped nose over and in a possible spin configuration. ;-)
Buonasera. The Firefly (T 67) seems to me a good aeroplane. Why was it that the US customer scrapped them all, without even, apparently, salvaging anything useful ? Grazie,Francesco.
I hope you took her out to dinner and dancing after the afternoon date because girls like that need special attention. Great Video! What kind of plane are you flying?
What is that? A Rotax powered Light Sport? Whatever it is, it’s better than what I’m currently flying, which is nothing. I still have my Pitts S1-S+ and an RV-6, but haven’t flown in 10 years or so for medical reasons. Got in to hot rod sport bikes a while back to get my adrenaline fix, but that has it’s own challenges when you ride on the street.
What's with the parachutes? Is there any prior training involved? I enjoyed the vid, just don't get the 'chutes. Exiting a disabled a/c without ... "bang'n out"... aint that easy.
Policy of the club I'm in, and yes training was provided. You're right, difficult to bang out but it's better to have the option than not. Saw an article a few years ago where 2 gliders went into each other and one chap survived as he banged out 👍
@@gsps89 Glad the club provides parachutes and training as it's a really good idea to wear one whenever flying aerobatics. When I was a QFI in the RAF, one of my students rented a private T67M one weekend and sadly didn't wear a parachute so when the aircraft departed controlled flight into a spin and wouldn't recover he had no chance. Whilst there's no guarantees it does give you another chance therefore I would always wear a parachute for aeros and carryout a pre-flight practise of the abandon drill for the aircraft type as well.
Great aviating and even better that guest doesn't need barf bag. Too you couldn't capture the intercom audio, but camera's cabin sound works. BTW a/c type?
Even if she was briefed on the maneuvers beforehand, she definitely enjoyed this well performed set of aerobatics. I wonder what side by side brand of plane was used? Well done...
What's the plane? And more importantly, what are the flip up glasses, or are those clip ons (at the end I see the flip up)? Been trying to find some flip ups this type, my Yak is hard to see inside and outside :-) Thanks - and nice vid BTW -
Paul Shankland thank you! It is a Firefly T67C, great fun although they lack fuel injection! The sunglasses were a present and they flick up in order to allow vision during low vis. It also comes with different lenses so you can change it according to conditions. I love them. On the side it say Rapid Eyewear. Hope this helps you find them!
Hey, wish you both all the best... but: next time you sit in that cockpit with a passenger, take care for loose cable and mics. As a retired german F-4 Pilot i can tell you how dangerous loose or not well fitted things could be dangerous, especially in an acrobatic display. A friend of mine was nearly knocked out in his Tornado while turning into a negative g dive by his small notice book not well fitted on his knee...
Haha knew it. I guessed from the fire extinguisher location and the bar across the back. I went solo in an RF-6B (predecessor to the T-67). The place I used to work had one too. What version is it? C?
My dad owned a piper when we were young. Was not meant to do a full nose dive but he did just to scare my sister and my mom. The first time he did it i remember thinking, well there we go. My sister was screaming. I was super cool. Not now i wouldn't be. I'm too old for that s#*t!
At least if they are excited they maybe won't chuck- I am certain I had PX on the brakes once who was not feeling right(Extra) and couldn't put her down - guess I will never know, but it hasn't happened before or since....whatever, it's always fun. Nice aeros
I did exactly the same with a date. Except I used a 17 year old truck. Did a donught on dirt road to "wow" her. She wasn't ready and got all flopped around. Her head hit the window. Hard! My double gulp spilled on the floor. And on her purse and shoe. She had the dumbest look on her face I have ever seen. At least my truck started right back up. It stalled halfway thru the spin. Gave her a balled up paper towel to wipe the soda off her shoe. And purse. It's all I had.
Tony’s mobile repair a bit late but small planes (at least the ones I’ve seen) have a small vent that looks like a car air conditioner that can be opened to allow air in from the outside, given the speeds it works pretty well but they do tend to heat up a bit regardless.
There are plenty of way of doing it. Easiest way is to know a pilot who flies aerobatics. As most of us would be quite happy to take you up. Otherwise there are flight experiences advertised at most airfields or online, but they tend to be pricey!
I don't record the audio coming in to the headsets. And depending on the stage of the flight wind and engine noise drown out what's being said. If it helps I'm just talking her through what I'm doing and what I'll do next. Makes it more enjoyable!
Only joking! I don't do aeros for a living... I simply take people up for pleasure as and when I go up. So it may well be within the realms of possibility mate!
gsps89 What model is your plane? I've flown (as a passenger) aerobatics in a Citabria 7ECA and a Super Stearman, but that bubble cockpit is out of this world!
0:58 fastest take-off in the history of aviation.
🤣
That's some UFO kinda s**t.
Might not want to grab the pilot's arm when he is using it to fly the plane. :)
Mike B yeah lol that's why he looked at her like wtf you doing
Mike B, she could have grabbed his shaft instead and he would have performed aerobatics much better.
Pradeep He also could've helped her a bit by pitching it up and down all the time
That usually ends up with the pilot ejecting.
That’s the dumbest thing to do
Thanks for all the comments guys! It certainly worked as we're gonna get married next year!
Lol. Hope she has gotten used to it!
Atta-boy!!! I took my wife flying on our first date... Worked like a charm.

1:58.., 1st rule when sitting beside a pilot, Dont grab his arms whilst he's holding the stick.
@Diego Armando No, I dont.
Ha. Her laughter turned to a smile. The smile turned to a vague smile. That morphed into pursed lips and finally finished up with a ‘Get me back on the ground!’ expression.

Great video and no music- that's Oscar material.
Why do you hate music in videos?
Thanks for posting I really enjoyed the ride too!

Thanks!!
Made my palms sweat just watching this!
stall turns are great! :D
Thanks! Almosrt everyone I flew enjoy stall sturns... I suppose it is quite gentle and less likely to make anyone feel ill!
She is very calm. It seens she enjoyed all the flight. Funny!!!!
Light stall turns & a hammerhead, very nice! :-D

Stall turns and hammerheads are the same thing.
Those were wing-overs, not stall turns. Big difference.
Not actually the same but thanks for taking the time to reply. :-)
Okay. Now I'm curious. what's the difference?

Very nice smooth aeros...she obviously enjoyed it. So did you convert her to the joys of flying?
martinev12 thank you! I most certainly did! She goes flying with me often, although I've taken a break this spring as I transitioned to the B757!
