    I'm not gonna, but after watching this I feel like I could get a good enough fit on my own at home with my eyeglass prescription(simple nearsightedness), hi res photos of my eyes and a scale to measure iris diameter, etc. Of course one miscalculation and there go my savings by not getting done by a pro, haha.

    What is this 337.5/2.
    What is this 337.5?

    • @optometry-with-samir
      @optometry-with-samir  2 роки тому +1

      Actual Formula is:
      (N1 - N2) x 1000/K reading.
      Here,
      N1 = Refractive index of keratomerter(1.3375).
      N2= Refractive index of air that is 1.
      So finally it comes,
      (1.3375-1) x 1000/ K reading or 337.5/ K reading(In short).

    Power of iol needed for an emmetropic eye? Pls reply

    • @optometry-with-samir
      @optometry-with-samir  2 роки тому +1

      There is no such specific IOL power for emmetropic. Theoretically it's said 18-20D. But even if eye is emmetropic, IOL power may vary depending upon AC depth, corneal, power, A constant etc.
      Even if eye is emmetropic but we take A constant 119(Different brand IOL) instead of 118, power may vary 0.75-1D with in the same eye.

      Samir Sutradhar.

    What is the cause of large iris (HVID)? Is it genetic?

    • @optometry-with-samir
      @optometry-with-samir  10 місяців тому

      It may be genetic....
      Overall eyeball size can cause large HVID. Myopic eyes are larger and hyperopic eyes are smaller. So HVID will be small in hyperopic and Higher in Myopic.
