When Nintendo starts to release their games in 60 FPS, maybe I'll consider it. For right now I'll do what I have been doing and pirating them, playing them in 4k at frame rates even higher than 60 FPS of other enhancements Nintendo would never let us have. Paper Mario ttyd looks better, runs at 60 FPS, and with Auto hdr/filers you can get a very similar lighting engine to the remake on switch, so there's literally absolutely no fucking point. You can't even say oh I want to take it with me when I go out because it runs at 30 frames per second. That's literally unplayable. It's 2024 and for us to accept games running below 60 FPS is fucking CRAZY to me.
For the resolution these games run out, to not be able to run them at a absolute minimum of 45 FPS is f****** pathetic. If they could at least give us that, I don't need my games to run at 60fps but I do 100% need them to run above 30. 30 FPS is a legitimate slideshow and it doesn't matter what anyone says it's visible you could look at it you're just coping if you say something like oh well the game didn't feel bad and 30 fps, it's not the type of game that needs 60 FPS so it was fine" like that makes absolutely no sense. Any game needs to be 60 fps to be enjoyable I wish I would have never seen a very good at 60 FPS ever in my life so I wouldn't be like this, but I am and it's 2024 you could build a computer for $200 utilizing an old office PC and a second hand graphics card that absolutely destroys the Nintendo switch, I'm talking $300 to 400% better performance and it can even emulate the switch and play all of its games at 1440p or above

You don't just say someone needs help, and don't say why. That indicates that you are a shill, you will purchase this TRASH and love it, and you have no true reasoning as to why I need help aside from you don't agree with me. How about you tell me why it's okay to play/buy games at 30 fps in 2024, especially when they were released in 2004. 20 fucking years ago, and they can't just double the res (it's technically a LITTLE more than double) and keep it at 60 fps. It's pathetic. The hardware inside the switch, is sop weak, it's also pathetic. It's people like YOU who buy the shit. Tell me how it's okay that you can build a pc for $150-200 that destroys the switch. How is that okay? It's 2024. 30 fps is straight up unplayable.

I am going to get it, ive been waiting for them to remake this for so long, i haven't been able to play the game properly in a long time, i even said to myself I'd by it full priced too, i just want to re-live the nostalgia (and its my favourite out of the three games)

Im also aggravated with the title of thr game. Why drop the subtitle for "2 HD" when "dark moon" is so much better
They probably changed it to "2" so people know this was a prequel to Luigi's Mansion 3. On a side note, the original game was called Luigi's Mansion 2 in Japan. I still think Dark Moon's a cooler name though.
I'm still buying it. My PC can't emulate it at a very high resolution, and I'd rather not play at 360p on my 3DS

There must be new content. No effing way they will charge $60 for a remaster of a 3DS game. Mario vs Donkey Kong was $50 and had some new content.

I’m not getting it anyway. It’s overpriced and I never played the original Dark Moon. I have a 3DS and it’s like $10-$20 on eBay so if I really want to play Dark Moon, I’ll just order a copy of the original game on eBay.

$60 is very high for the game, what sucks though is that this is going to the definitive addition because you can use a second analog stick. This was a feature never added to the 3ds version of dark moon and it makes a huge difference in the gameplay so if you pirate the game you're going to get an inferior experience. It almost seems like they never added analog stick support with the circle pad pro on purpose smh
Basically this is one of those,"Mario movie" games that they know will sell since it's a prequel to their almost 15 million seller and is basically the game version of that Dark Lands scene from the Mario movie. It also involves...well different mansions which would help ease the confusion of, "Why is it called Luigi's Mansion if it has nothing to do with a mansion?"
Ordered it from play asia along 2 other games and I ended up paying less than 40 euros per game (118 euros total including tax and shipping).

I never had this game but I think for people who like it 60 is fair just to have a one screen experience. Id gladly pay 60 to have A Link Between Worlds without a bottom screen
It always bothers me how these re-releases cost more than when the game was brand new. I think this game cost $40 initially (the typical retail cost of a first party 3ds game). I understand new players may not mind, but if you already played it once and just want to re-experience the game, then its hard to justify spending that much more.
This is why i miss the old Virtual console, even if it didn't always have a great library of old games.

At least there they had new textures, models, modes etc. you can achieve lm2hd in a 3ds emulator lol, I'll still get lm2hd as I remember loving it, but 2nd hand a couple months after release

Honestly I never beaten the original version I got to the 4th mansion final boss and I couldn’t beat it so I’m getting to average myself but your not wrong about the price but I like the original and I gonna buy the remake

@@JacobCruiseWell it is a bit pricey but the game itself is great and worth the revisit. It is technically possible there will be some new features as well but they haven’t been confirmed
Problem: Luigi’s mansion 2 and 3 are both notoriously bad at being emulated. (2 won’t even launch, 3 will get around 20fps regardless of your gaming rig)
I’m not sure if it would make a difference, but it is still unknown how well or not this HD remaster may emulate. 🤷♂️
Edit: after installing *those* 3 mods, I get a fairly locked 60fps on luigi’s mansion 3. :) Mirrors work, but mice, Gooigi, and a few random textures are transparent. Doesn’t bother me too much.

I honestly don't understand the complaint. It's still a AAA quality title, that now has the benefit of improved lighting, textures, models, etc, AND it's able to take full advantage of the Switch's superior hardware to the 3DS.
70 dollars is the average price of a AAA title nowadays. I really don't see the point in complaining about this pricing. It's a very reasonable price for such a quality title, especially considering it's a title that is very hard to emulate from my experience. And even if it was easy to emulate I would purchase it. From everything I've seen, it's not just upscaled textures, various models in this game have been updated with much better geometry and textures, something emulation never seems to get right in my experience.
I will 100% be buying this game if I have the money to spare, and I cannot understand why people are complaining about this.
The reason you see no qualms with this half effort is because you have no other stakes in wanting anything else. That's what it really comes to. SMT V comes in 8 days from now. Try telling me to my face those miniscule upgrades compare to SMTs upgrades, something derived from inferior hardware itself from Switch as lm2 to 3ds. Its the same sentiment
Because you desire nothing else you dont value the intensity of a price. I have 60 games in this ps5 wish list of mine and I fully intend to get.them all, when I dont know but soon all of them will be mine if I still walk this earth. That's dedication and to meet I must spend and strategize. Something spending $60 on garbage wont get me far on. But if you dont value the industry at large your same lm2 purchase now stole your purchase for something else. There is no money to spare that's the point of it all. Nintendo games are lacking

A remaster is what this game is and its all it really needs to be. If you want something new, something different, you’ll have to wait for a new game. And even these small upgrades, no matter how minuscule can vastly improve how the game feels to play.
And as for the wishlist comment, I feel that has no relevance to this conversation. Not everybody has over 60, high priced titles on their wishlist. I for one only have around 9 or 10, and I do NOT intend on buying them all. I only have then wishlisted to keep track of their development progress for example.
On top of that, you have to take into account the people who have never played the game. This remaster is still a good improvement to the original, and considering original 3ds games are hard to find and emulate, this Switch version is a great way for people to play it.
And then, for people who havent played lm2 before, this game gets to take full advantage of the switches superior hardware to the 3ds, on top of having a more streamlined control layout that I’m sure they’ll map the games controls to.
I would also finally like to add that, you’re making all these snap judgements, from a short video that dropped at Nintendo Direct of cutscenes. Not much gameplay was shown. There could very well be smaller gameplay improvements throughout the game.
Remasters are there to improve a games visuals, and often times performance and game feel as well. And so far, I feel like this games pricing is not that bad. It’s still cheaper than the regular 70-100 dollar price range of a full AAA release, and I would still consider lm2 a full AAA release.
I see no problems with this pricing. Again, do whatever you like, I could care less, but thats just my take on the situation.
I won't be buying Luigis mansion 2 HD I think it's a absolute joke that they are selling games that are so old for so much and than go after non profit emulators and sue and them take them down like, what are we suppost to do they don't care about their old games so we pirate and emulate them it's sadly the only way now

If it makes you feel better I have a sublime CFW Unpatched V1 Nintendo Switch in my front facing view as I type this 😂! It doesn't bother me one bit if stealing is what I do because in the end that's another incompetence made by Nintendo. V1 Switches only exist because of there fluke in development. As a user it is not my responsibility to play by there rules, only by what prospers me most. Stealing is this cases best route
