Meant to editing my self and im watching Phil opened his maize haha... We are all about morning feeding here, twice a day for the dairy cattle though. Keeps them coming back up! Good video Phil
Tom I love watching your channel too your cows might give more milk with the maze feed please let us all know in a future video
Tom we are all waiting for the super soil results video
@@claetuswoodroofe1854nothing grows grass like bullshit.
we feed dairy sheep and put out feed 4x a day, sheep are excellent sorters and can be picky eaters is why we do it. the fresher the feed the better their in take
Nice one Phil
We were commenting here that we are surprised that ye don't wear work gloves around the farm. I started wearing them a number of years ago and managed to convince the boss man to do the same. Find that they save the hands a lot especially when doing the silage plastic, handling cattle and cleaning crap around the yard. I see that Adrian on Ifarmwefarm wears them all the time too.
New feeder,,very nice and,,KEEP. ON FARMING.
That chain is absolutely Bob bucked
Happy first Wedding Anniversary Farmer Phil and Farmer Liv 🥂
When rolling the plastic up roll it under itself so the water can drain off the side, the way you rolled it, it will hold the water, and the plastic you have rolled will fall
Phil you will never go back after seeing the bulls on the mats on the slats we put 3 pens in about 3 years ago and we now have all 3 of our cattle sheds with mats they are a game changer
I just love watching calves turn in to bull s Phil they are looking well 👍thanks for sharing
Look forward to when you find your old phone in the silage pit there Phil. No doubt it’s smashed to pieces, but like to see it.
Phil There a lot of long leaves in the Maize . you will overcome that with well edged knives and a good shearbar well set to get a better chop .
Wow the yard looks massive now its cleaned up 👍
have to admire your efforts on growing all the different ingredients. Sustainable or what!!. looks super too
Great video Phil, if you need to change the chain you probably need a new sprocket as well.
Your fair getting the yard tidy Phil getting worried about livs cooking if you think the silage is worth a go😂
Good video Phil the bulls are looking nice. And the corn looked very nice good feed for the bulls!
Feed looks very well this year Phil, bet your glad of the big pits as it looks like it will be a long winter.
Feed in the evenings so not to feed the flipping starlings
Great video again Phil.
Great video Phil. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼

Great video Phil
That's great work with your fresion bull farmer Phil
Another very interesting video Thank you 😊😊
Nice one Phil some grand food going into the cattle
Morning feeding all the way 👌
Good video as always, Morning feeding i find is the best
Great content as always Phil, may i ask why the bulls haven't been de-horned, i would be concerned about horn damage to each other and even staff, plus looks like could be an issue with the feed barrier as they grow.
Not enough timeto dehorn them when they were calve it wasn’t a priority to much time spent fixing scrap 😂
Yard looking much better. A little tidy up. Some farmers use peat till to keep backs clean along with big brushes for them to use
We feed morning and evening
Super 😊😊
4 o`clock pm, so the most get filled up before they go to be milked . This gives the rest room to eat before milking, Once the last row is in parlour the first cows are released to eat some more , get a drink of water , and are mostly resting in their bedded cubicles by the time milking is finished, this gives plenty of space for the rest of the herd to eat their fill. Fed is available all night, at 6 o`clock the next morning I push up the silage and so the cycle begins again for milking . This allows me to do the milking , fed the calves etc, unrushed. The advantage is, I`m about mid morning and lunch time to push up silage , encouraging intake.
DMI enhances liveweight gain/ or milk yield.
Nutritioinist put me on to this system, works very well. Thank Phil.
Great video. Hopefully in 90 days you’ll have the bulls in the order you want and the factory prices are decent l. Keep up the good work. L
Used feed in the morning was my 1st job when i got to work
Great content Phil. Thank you.
Question- did you weigh the boys before going into the shed - mad interested to know how weight gains compare to last years numbers.
Another great video. No sign of Father Phil, he must be flat out at the 1200!!
I.think you could play a tune on that teleport Phill.😂😂
Have ye used the new silo sent ye bought it haven't seen it been used
Update on the zetor?
I always feed in the evening ½ hour before sunset, then you'll have no problem with the birds
Would you notice any difference in feeding into bunkers and feeding on the floor ?
Do you have many cattle ripping off horns in the barrier or putting other cattles eye's out with the horn's? Wee bottle of freezing stuff and the gas iron would leave things safer for all!
Hello . You have a nice weather there , I envied that because we have 20 cm snow yesterday here in Finland . Winter came early this year . 🥶🌨❄☃⛸
Snow Way 🌨 ☃️
Shook shur ye wouldn't know the meaning of that word, Meanwhile the rattle and bangs out of that jcb lord god taking shook to another level,, Rough lads, 😂😂..
Some rattling on the loader
Feed Every morning beef cattle good videos
Do you have any trouble with maize or whole crop spilling out of the grab when the the front isn't covered?
Liv will have to start putting emojis over that crack of yours or you'll get de-monetized 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He should set up a go fund me for him to buy a belt half his arse out
Any sight of mobil phon3 yet in pit ?
Cows only sleep 4 hours a day and is mainly made up of “naps” that happens at both day and night. That being said they do mainly sleep at night, but not a big concern. So I wouldn’t worry too much about sleep.
Would be interesting if you put a time lapse of the cows at day and night. Just to see if it’s obvious that they move and eat more at day than night. Or maybe curtain times of day (maybe the hottest parts) they more more. Could be an interesting little experiment.
Have u got knives in you Kennan if you do u can chop fodder in that saves loads of Time and will chop smaller then you chopper
Is silage , beet and maize sufficient for finishing cattle?
Phil, me thinks you need a chopper bucket
I thought cattle weren't supposed to have horns any more, is it not the case that they can't be sent to the mart or factory with them?
No issues with horns
Can't go through marts but OK for the factory (apparently factory staff aren't as important as mart staff)
Plenty go through the sales with horns nobody paying any attention to them should not be allowed dangerous to humans and other cattle
Fen boys sow mazie end of may look good crop no spraying no water stayed green threw summer pods full cut end September bet they like few potatoes
Great looking feed feed in evening belly be fuller
Well
7:40 any crack
How come they still have there horns do you not de bud them when they are calves. Morning feed then if you get tied up with something you dont have to worry about getting back to feed them just push up what’s left job done.
Do ye pull out any bulls that maybe can't handle the ration and get acidosis or do they stop eating it and then eventually start eating again without intervention...
Does the diet feeder not chop the beet??. It obliviously dosent. But i thiught they did. Does any diet feeder chop beet
I would think not
Does the maize ferment quicker than grass? 2-3 weeks seem a bit quick to open a pit.
Can feed it the day after, very fast crop
Mourning 😂
We are morning and night feeding just block feeding
You should get into the habit of wearing gloves especially when working around cattle feedstuffs,
'Weil's Disease'
