Hard to believe it was a year ago already that the farmflix crew were down with you while ye were at the Maize.. Goldcrop Fella definately knows his stuff too.. Mighty harvest...
Was talking to pat at uk dairy day realised who they where from your video’s had a chat about the products and how they’ve been going with you he spoke very highly of you as a family Congrats on 80,000 subs 😁
Apparently a guy in Waterford has grown peas as a companion crop for the maize this year to make up the 20percent loss of crop with no plastic and the peas wind up along the maize stalks. All very well as long as it winds up and not becomes a mess on the ground making it difficult to harvest
Best comment from fr phil. One trailer weighs 9t other one 12t 30 load divide it up and add it up. Lift the hat and walk on. Brilliant Another super video on what Irish farmers are best at working very hard to keep going.
Top class as always guys , tuning in from the beach in Dubrovnik here on holidays, the year dosnt be long flying in looking forward to the winter feeding video soon👌 we’ll done
Great video. Fabulous day’s work done… only two weeks to opening the maize pit, goes to show how late it is in the year. Good to see the 6480 out of hibernation and back in action. Keep up the good work.
Great looking pit of maize phil think you need to give Father Phil a camera for his Christmas so he can do some videos all year round😂 i can guess what his answer to that would be 😂
The sums are 15 x 12 is 180 and 15 x 9 is 135 so c. 315 tonnes fresh weight off 12 acres there’s boys in cork that would be happy enough with that 315 /12 is over 26 tonnes to the acre now all you need is the test results. Moisture levels look to be good, grain content looks to be high so I would expect that it will be damn close to rocket fuel. Wish we could grow it up here but 700 to 1400 feet up in west Wicklow is probably a bit too chancy still but you’d never know with the way that the genetics are going we might have a go at it sooner rather than later, still it’s a rather expensive crop to take a huge gamble on.
Watch the rugby tonight Farmer Phil, because like it’s gonna be very good hopefully it all in ones so What’Cha no conversion meet. You wanna figure to have a wash and the next video say all in one on the rugby match on Saturday😊
Cattle should feed well of that , great set up for harvesting. Will you plough in the stubble and what will be the next crop in the 12 acres? Great subscriber numbers and well deserved Phil.
Seeing as you already have uprights there why don’t you extend the shed that way instead of out the back ? Could make a nice pit or two out the back to replace what would be lost .
If its much of a much of a difference in terms of value to yield between covered and uncovered then you might as well keep covering the maize , It just gives you that little bit of insurance in a bad year , You coukd say it all averages out money wise in the end , but if its a bad summer , or bad autumn followed by a wet cold spring and you've empty silage pits , the cost snd the stress eoukd cripple you
That's it now father Phil is gonna start charging you for his appearances in the videos 😅 Was there something up with the camera on the drone it didn't seem as clear as usual

Well done on 80000 subscribers!!! 🎉👌, great video Phil. It’s roughly about 315 ton of maize in that pit! 👍. Love watching your content, so real life 👌
That shovel is a right yoke!
Good video farming phil ❤❤❤🎉
Good job Phil.
Excellent video. I think we all take for granted the skill level you have pushing up on that pit with a camera or a drone on the go!

Some music/tune as well 👌🏻
Q&A for the 80K Phil
Top quality video as always Phil 🤌🔰
Great video farmer Phil
Nice pit, winterrye is gonna be interesting :)
What a tune
That's some crop you got there if it gets much bigger you'll need a bigger pit
Good stuff
Phil and liv, can you include the feeding cleaning and collecting the egg from the chickens in the vlogs.
Congrats on t 80k well earnd.
That's a hell of a crop a maize 👌
Good man Phil on 80,000.

Sorry just got that bit at the end what you’re going to be planting.
Liv has accepted her tractor upgrade well…😂
Hi Phil. Could you tell me which make of EID tags and wand you use that links up with Herdwatch ? Thank you
I c liv still love her 6270 out of all
Seeing as you already have uprights there why don’t you extend the shed that way instead of out the back ? Could make a nice pit or two out the back to replace what would be lost .

Does the 6480 have working airco and does it have front suspensions? It looks very good in the field! Greetings from Belgium father Phil
Hi appel from galway, my brother is in France for the rugby
But he is in messiness Belgium today. Isn't that a great crop of maize.
it has aircon but no front suspension
The technical bit about the numbered varieties was Similar to Cole the Cornstar, but he is a Corn boy not a Whole Crop Hero like you.😊
Congratulations on 80k some crop.👍 how was the venison.i had it a few times nice enough 👌
A fine pile of maize. I never spotted the structure but I did spot the 66 or 76 abandoned in the weeds right next to that fine hard standing
On the sprayer? She's a Chafer Pathfinder, tractor derived self propelled. In the working fleet.
@@SpudSlingsby yup! Ain't it a half and half? One being a Ford 66 or 76?
Go on ya good one , 80k 👍 Any start on the new shop ?
26ton/acre….. fair going that!
How do you rotate your crops? Or do you?
It’s something we’re trying to improve at
The uncoverd crop looks like its better cost return
Surprised that u didn't have the 3690 on the draw
How was the venison?
Absolutely lovely
That is one large pile for the pit.
Is t 6718 out of commission
What age weight and when do ye sell your bulls to the factory
January onward
250€ an acre for 1 foot more and a slightly more mature cob-couldnt pay off. Otherwise a great crop for the year in it
I see liv got an upgrade 😯😞
Fair play great to see uncle Ian's tractor going again, fair play liv, keep the dream alive
That pit is a bit big, you will have to use it quick when it's opened or it will heat and you waste alot of it.
That's it now father Phil is gonna start charging you for his appearances in the videos 😅
Was there something up with the camera on the drone it didn't seem as clear as usual
First
👍
Excellent work. Wouldn't the rye harvest around July, more like 2nd cut?
winter rye can be cut for silage before it heads out in late may .......bulk might not be huge but it would be top quality stuff ............
@georgedoorley5628 thanks George. That will be interesting.
Go go fp
Take an extra sugar in your tae for a bonus 😅
2725 bad for a do up set of doors windows air horns and strobes she would look the job
🇮🇪🇮🇪🙏🙏👍👍👍👍
boring
Why didn't you cover that screen in the tailgate with a piece of sheet metal.
Good video as always
