  • In this talk, Shefali Shah explore the idea of living life with the fearless, joyful spirit of a child. Children see endless possibilities and believe they can be anything. What if, as adults, we could capture that same sense of adventure and wonder? Imagine making choices based on what your heart desires, not just what your brain dictates. Taking risks, pursuing passions, and embracing life's journey without the usual constraints of adulthood.
This talk invites you to ponder a powerful question: What could you achieve if you weren't limited by the rules of being an adult? Join us in rediscovering the joy and freedom of living beyond boundaries. Shefali, a distinguished actress and National Award winner, has been a prominent figure in Indian cinema for over twenty years. Her remarkable performances span a range of genres, with notable roles in acclaimed films like "Satya," "Monsoon Wedding," and "Gandhi, My Father." She's also made a significant impact with her work in the "Ajeeb Daastaans" anthology series.
Her exceptional talent has garnered numerous prestigious awards, including the Filmfare, Stardust, and the Tokyo International Film Festival awards. She earned the National Award for Best Supporting Actress at the 55th National Film Awards for her role in "The Last Lear."
Celebrated for her nuanced portrayal in Neeraj Ghaywan’s "Juice," Shefali won the Filmfare Best Actress Award. She also brought life to Raksha in the Hindi version of "The Jungle Book." Her compelling performance in the Netflix Original "Delhi Crime" received widespread acclaim, contributing to the show's victory at the 48th International Emmy Awards for Best Drama series.
Expanding her creative horizons, Shefali turned to directing during the lockdown with two short films, "Someday" and "Happy Birthday Mummy Ji," both exploring themes of isolation. Her recent roles, including the antagonist in Disney+ Hotstar's "Human," have continued to earn her praise and admiration from audiences and critics alike. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
