Gregg Sullivan is killin' it. Great guitar player..
Yes he is 👍
Great really great Dave Clayton Thomas ❤️❤️
Eine grossartige Stimme! Ein sehr schöner Song!
This is great! BS&T was my favorite band. David Clayton Thomas deserves The Order of Canada.
DID YIOU GET INTO MUSIC AS A MUSICIAN BECAUSE OF THIS BAND AS I DID I HEARD THEM WHEN I WAS 4 YEARS OLD AND I FOLLOWED THE MUSIC DREAM EVER SINCE NOW AT 57 YEARS YOUNG I HEAR THEM AND IT INSPIRES AS IT DID IN 1969 .....GREAT TALENT ...MORE THAN MOST WILL EVER KNOW
Just heard a rare live cut of Donny Hathaway singing this in 1973 and he mentions that Blood Sweat and tears were the originators. Cool.
These guys kicked ass!
Can't anyone appreciate a different style without hate. No one is forcing anyone to listen. I appreciate all walks of music from hard blues, jazz, Country Rap, pop, etc.
a wonderful great song
Nothing beats the original❤
@@tomioleof course!! I agree!! But still it's really great to listen to David Clayton Thomas!!!
AWESOME!!!
Banda maravilhosa, curti muito na juventude. 👍😀
Rio de Janeiro - Brasil
I was a student of Greg’s and I accidentally knocked over his guitar face down on the hardwood floor of the conservatory we were in. I’m not sure if he ever truly forgave me but he is a very good dude and a phenomenal guitar player
Лучшая песня о любви!класс!❤️🎶🌟🌹
가슴 깊은곳 애절한 흐느낌~~~
Saw this version of the band at the first Rock the Park in London, Ontario ... wow, one of the hottest arrangements I've ever seen.
There are few singers like David Clayton
To my beloved Son. Charles jr.
The original brass was what really makes this song special but this performance is great!
Listen to DCT sing this at Woodstock 1969... indelible emotional moment. This isn’t quite the same, but I enjoyed p it.
Kocham Cię DCT .... in polish - I love you ....
I so much love BSTs!!!!!
Dedicate to all the fathers who DON T exist anymore and are
Always in
n our hearts as our mothers adieu
my first LP from Germany I was buying in 1978 .... polish people was employed about 2-3thousand zloty, and western LP was costing 800-1000zlotys. In the 1970's
David gives this a new beginning!
For my baby who sadly passed this year.
Sorry for your loss😢 bless your ❤
wow

XXXLOVE
Strait Strat and Blue Heart!
I am only flash and blood...
Crazy perfect!
Better with age......
😭😭😭
🎉🎉🎉
❤❤❤
I like Clayton-Thomas' voice far more than Kooper's. Maybe the best Version: 1969 Woodstock.
DCT was a great addition to BST but anyone who thinks this is better than Al Kooper's version just isn't listening. The original will never be matched. Get real everyone. This has nowhere near the gutsy feel and real jazz pedigree that Kooper's had.
DCT bad crooner here: Al Kooper owns this, and poor sweet Amy Winehouse nailed it more than anyone else
Oh man, I am so with you on this. I just put a comment on here to that point. Al Kooper was the real deal. The original version was and will always be the definitive version. It's solid jazz and blues pedigree can not be denied. It's almost an insult for Thomas to do this song. IT IS AL KOOPER'S.
@@TheBigO-k6g none can't beat the original ua-cam.com/video/g9FibOWT3j8/v-deo.html
Uffffff 🤦🤦♀️😱
If it ain't Al Kooper it ain't Blood Sweat and Tears
Al Kooper owns this...
Great song. Although Amy Winehouse sings it with soul.
Mary Ann Cantu how can anyone say david doesn’t sing with soul..guess it depends on to each his own...
Beth Hart's versión Is the best for mi
@@danielarmando7241 Al Kooper version the original and the best.
Al Kooper's song.
Kopper is still the best
absolutely
Absolutely. This is AL Kooper's song. DCT never did it justice and if he were a class guy he would have never performed it.
Al was truly a musical genius but was not near DCT as a vocalist when DCT was in his prime (1970s). BST version of “I can’t quit her” w DCT singing it is another Kooper classic.
He’s fabulous 👍🔥🔥😜🌹🌹🌹
Try to listen to 5:17 Lenid and friends version…
WHY? WHY WHY WHY? ......... :-(
tifoso4ever no way and Al Kooper has to be busting a gut laughing
David Clayton Thomas puts absolutely no soul into this song, but Al Kooper owns it. Maybe that's why. Thomas has a smooth voice, but that's about it.
D K Wahl Find the live at Woodstock video on UA-cam where DCT sings it at 1:30 am, the last day, knowing the chaos all around, also the fact that it’s been labeled as Al C’s trademark song... and he just nails it, crushes it. In his twenties at Woodstock, likely around 6O in this 2003 concert. Search UA-cam under “Lew Soloff performs Somethings Coming On” and you will find both songs on the video.
DCT sure know how to butcher a masterpiece.
No, No, No! Vibrato is way too fast. While bluesy, slower beat is good, Al Kooper has this guy beat hands down.
Yes... I respectfully wish David CT would leave this one alone.. This is Al's baby...
