Taemin is just.. no words. The comments already explained you well about him. He debuted very young at age 14 with SHINee. In 2014 he was the first soloist to debut for his company SM at just 21 years old. From there he began his career that over the years has only consolidated him as the best kpop soloist and not only experience also because he is innovative in musical terms and the greatest performer. MOVE in 2017 gave a lot to talk about in many aspects, for breaking gender stereotypes. And for many reasons, he is very loved, respected and admired by the entire music industry that also saw him grow, he has an incredible legacy and his vision as an artist is incredible too. Last month he went into military service but said that ADVICE is like the trailer for everything he will do musically when he returns from the military. Taemin is the next level in everything he does. nobody is as creative and risky as he to introduce and create concepts or styles different from what is common in the music industry. It is so unique. ADVICE is unbelievable because there was the elegance of piano's sound with rap at the same time and singing in another vocal register and to that add the fastest choreography that a soloist has done so far, the visuals and concept. It's insane. Nobody does it like him. No one. And if you go deeper, everything in the MV has a why, but it's not about SM's predetermined concepts, it's more about what he wants to express as an artist, like "TAEMIN" then ADVICE is like the end of one of a whole history of his album "Never Gonna Dance Again" that begins with 2KIDS, CRIMINAL, IDEA and ADVICE where he basically tries or talks about destroying an old identity to be reborn and find his identity. Shinee is a 5 member group under SM entertainment. They unfortunately are only able to promote with 4 members now, due to a member passing in 2017, but they will forever be 5. I see "Advice" as a continuation of the themes within Taemin's Never Gonna Dance Again album trilogy -- "2 Kids," "Criminal" and "Idea." With "Criminal" and "Idea," Taemin talks about being involved in a toxic relationship -- not necessarily a romantic relationship, but a metaphor for his relationship with fame -- in which he agrees to be manipulated almost to the point of being destroyed in order to become the artist we see today. But in the end of "Idea" we see him become free from the box everyone wants to put him in and he comes to terms with his role as an idol. He has now formed his own "Idea" about himself and what it means to be an idol, etc. As Taemin explained during his VLive event for "Advice", "Advice" is like the end to the first chapter in his life, and the beginning of his second chapter, which will be after he completes his military service. (He enlisted May 30 and he will be on hiatus for the next 18 months as he fulfills his duty to his country.) The song seems to be his way of saying I am done caring to everyone who judged him and all those haters who spread rumours and misinformation about him. "Advice" is showing that he is now free and confident to be himself, breaking stereotypes and now only listening to himself. Taemin is just one of those performers that leaves you speechless every time he steps on stage. He was born to be a performer and that is one of the reasons why he has become known as the Korean Michael Jackson. That is also why, as one of the top two performers in the industry, he was made a member of SuperM. Taemin is an Idol of Idols and a legend of legends. (Kai from EXO -- Taemin's best friend, who is also an SM Entertainment artist and fellow member of SuperM -- takes the other top spot.) And the title of the industry's BEST dancer isn't just a fan's opinion but it's a widely agreed upon title bestowed on both Taemin and Kai by their peers and the industry as a whole. Taemin is one of the most popular solo artists, as well as the youngest member of the legendary Kpop group SHINee. He debuted as a solo artist in 2014. In "Advice" he's basically saying, "Stop trying to put me in a box, in which I'll never fit in." He is also speaking to everyone that says he's getting old, that he's just a Michael Jackson wannabe that doesn't sell a lot of albums because he tries too hard to be edgy, etc. He's rebelling against all those people who are constantly advising him to make more mainstream music or to follow the traditional Kpop idol style in order to boost his sales and his popularity. However, as Taemin is making clear in "Advice," that is not who he is and he will never be "normal" or "mainstream" and he is OK with that. In the scenes where you see him covered in ink, I think that is supposed to be him showing everyone how he is no longer the "unstained," cute maknae everyone wants to think of him as. This song was specifically designed to not be like anything he has ever done before. He plays the piano, he raps, he shows off his falsetto notes, etc. which is different than what we often hear and see from him. He intentionally used this song to prove that he isn't one type of singer. People often think of Taemin as a sultry vocalist that sings in a breathy comfortable less dynamic style. So, with this song he wants to prove to everyone that he can be unpredictable and try new things. Yet again, you can't put him in a box or tell him who to be. Everything you see in this MV is 100% Taemin. Everything that Taemin's haters like to point out about him and say are reasons why he shouldn't be held to such high esteem, I find completely ridiculous. I don't think that anyone who actually knows him would ever say he has played it safe at anytime in his career. If you think he is only one dimensional, and that he is trying to be anything other than himself, then you really don't know Taemin. Everything he does is different, out there and definitely not safe. It's always uniquely Taemin, and he couldn't do it any other way. Also, because Taemin is a member of SHINee, none of his songs are ever like anything you have every heard or seen before from him. It will always have a new beat, style and sound. As SM's experimental boy group, SHINee is meant to be the first and they are expected to set the trend, and that includes the members' solo work. With every new song Taemin produces it's expected to be different than the last, so you will never hear the same style or sound from him in any of his songs, even on the same album, and yet, it still will be uniquely Taemin-like. Which is another example of how you can never put him in a box or expect anything from him. :D Another theme in "Advice" is about how Taemin is embracing his androgynous side -- but on his own terms -- which I think is a continuation of the message in his "Move" MV. Early in his career when Taemin was growing up in SHINee he was known for his feminine look. The industry thought it was novel and cute to dress Taemin up as a girl and play up his feminine features. It took him a long time to accept that he was known for his looks and to come to terms with the fact that everyone thought of him as a "pretty boy," etc. So, at this point in his career he is making a statement about how he has decided to be himself and no longer care what people think. Music is art and art has no gender. So, that is why in "Advice" you see him wearing hair extensions, fishnets and women's Supreme sports wear, etc. But if you notice, his choreography is very fast paced and sharp which is hyper masculine -- a complete contrast to the "feminine" image people want to give him. You also see him wearing makeup, but it's smeared on his face, as if to say, "people may think of me as a 'Pretty Boy,' but I don't care about looking pretty." In the lyrics where he says "floppy" I think he's talking about knowing about or hearing firsthand the things people are saying about him, but he is choosing not to pay attention to them because what they're saying is flopping or doesn't hold any weight or have any substance, etc. "Advice" just proves that everytime people try to put Taemin in a box he destroys it and keeps coming back with something more unique and never seen before. I interpret the "One (piece of ) Advice" he is talking about in the lyrics as a reference to the advice he keeps being given about being more mainstream, but he's saying, "stop trying to make me conform to the image you have in your head of who I should be and what I should do" -- in other words, take all that time and effort you have been using to come up with ways to talk about how I don't fit in, etc. and put it to better use. "Follow my own advice" and do something original for once. As a devout Catholic, Taemin often uses Biblical references and metaphors in his songs and MVs. And the crucifixion pose at the end of "Advice" is sort of a signature pose for him. I interpret it to be like he is saying, "And that is the end, this is my final word, take it or leave it, but don't doubt me. I have gave it my all and laid everything I had out there for you," etc. If you are impressed with Taemin's dancing in this MV, just wait until you see him dance live. You will be even more blown away. As I said, Taemin is on a whole other level. Taemin's choreography is very much influenced by him. Although he has input in almost everything he does, he has choreographers that come up with the choreography for most of his dances and he then infuses it with his own ideas and style and makes it uniquely his. The way Taemin dances is just the way he moves. His movements are effortless. If you watch Taemin dance more, you will see that no matter who choreographs the dance, it will always have that Taemin feel. Taemin's style of dance can't be defined. As he has said, he has worked his entire career to create a style of dance that is unlike anything in the Kpop industry. And I would argue that that now extends to the entire industry of dance. Taemin started out as a self-taught popper and locker without any dance training, and, even then, as a trainee it was clear his skills as a dancer went far beyond the average dancer. Over the years, as you see with "Advice," he has infused those popping and locking skills into his now more contemporary style of dance. But, when it comes to dancing, he can do it all and there is no one better at it than him. And, as the youngest member of SHINee, Taemin's talents are one reason why SHINee are one of the top groups in the industry and why they have such legendary status. SHINee is made up of some of the absolute best singers, dancers and performers in the entire industry. With 13 years since their debut, they still command one of the top spots. When Taemin debuted in 2008 as part of SHINee he was only 14 years old and, yet, he was already known as one of the best dancers in the industry, and he has only gotten more magnificent over the years. Now after more than a decade, Taemin is still one of the youngest in many Kpop circles -- he is only 27 -- and, yet, he often has the most seniority and experience. Taemin is a god. He is on his own plane of existence. Only the other Shinee members can compare, and when it comes to solo content they can’t even touch that because he has WAY more solos.
TAEMIN has been around for 13-12 years alongside with his group SHINee. Literal legends they are. They have influenced so much people and definitely kpop artists in this generation.
Taemin has the nickname of "The Michael Jackson of Korea." He debuted with his group Shinee in 2008 with their song "Replay." He was only 14 by international age, 16 by Korean age (the 10 months in the mother's womb is considered the first year of life, and every new year they add on an additional year depending when you were born during the year. So in Korea you can be 1 to 2 years older than if you were anywhere else.) Onew, Key and Minho (the other members of Shinee) all entered the military at similar times and Taemin waited until they all returned before he entered on May 31, 2021. Now keep in mind there was 5 members, but sadly the world is now missing an angel. We lost Jonghyun in December of 2017. Hell due to the Stigma put on mental health, we have lost quite a few idols in the recent years. But that is for another time. While the other members were in the military Taemin was on a solo trek and in 2019 join up with several other idols from his company to create another group called SuperM. I really enjoyed your reaction experiencing the phenom that is Taemin for the first time. Trust me, I know the feeling! I watched his Criminal MV when it was first released and was immediately hooked. I have never looked back or regretted tumbling down this rabbit hole, and he also led me to Shinee and SuperM so thank you Taemin!! He exudes such a powerful aura when performing; live he is an absolute beast- just incredible. (Off-stage he is an adorable, squishable, goofball). He is fearless in embracing his androgynous visuals, mind blowing dance ability, and pursuing his own artistic vision. Others have recommended the most widely known MV’s like Criminal, Idea, WANT, and MOVE (and you should absolutely check them out!!!) but if you want to see more artistic expression I recommend watching two personal favourites: the dance version of Flame of Love and the Japanese Budokan arena performance of Door. Taemin is an incredible artist.... this guy deserves to be known worldwide as the megastar he is...it literally drives me crazy he doesnt have that recognition. Yes Taemins outfits are really something else... you will not believe how many different looks he has in some of his MVs.. its actually mindblowing and of course he looks incredible in every single one lol. Yes, Taemin is from the legendary group Shinee who are know as the Princes of Kpop and are incredibly talented and accomplished. Many younger idols have covered their songs. They have a couple of recent songs that are worth checking out- Don't Call Me and Atlantis. Taemin is also in SuperM which is SM Entertainment's super group made up of idols from other major SM acts, including Shinee, EXO, NCT and WavY. Taemin is an iconic performer but really shy and quiet off stage. He's adorable.

taemin and shinee have always been the best of the best, even when they debuted in 2008, they created the "rookie grand slam" by winning every single rookie award that year after releasing their first song Replay (a great place to start if you want to look into shinee at all). They have been successful and stayed relevant ever since, despite the lack of promotion from their company. Taemin and Shinee also have both korean and japanese discographies! If you'd be interested in checking out any of taemins japanese songs (i highly recommend them, they're incredible) i would definitely recommend Flame Of Love and Famous. the songs are both incredible ans the visuals in the mvs are stunning. the choreo is impeccable but that's a given considering it's taemin lmao. if you want to get into shinee i'd recommend theie Mvs for View and 1of 1, as well as live stages for Excuse Me Miss and Everybody :)

Taemin's lyrics and MV concepts are always thought-provoking and interesting. I can't wait to see more from you! I'd recommend you watch the fantastic "Criminal", which Taemin poured his heart and soul into editing and performing, and "Move" which is the iconic song that really made Taemin famous as a soloist. "Move" made him stand out as an artist who was not afraid to embrace his androgyny in an industry that often keeps rigid boundaries between what is acceptable for "feminine" and "masculine", and to this day idols still cover it and try to emulate Taemin's performance of it. "Move" is even more special because for his entire career he has been perceived as a feminine "pretty boy" because of how he looks even though he wanted to be seen as a "manly" man, so with "Move" it felt like he finally came to terms with that aspect of himself and embraced it as something that sets him apart and that he can use to express himself in ways that other idols may not be able to. Since then, he has really begun to develop his own musical and performance style, which is just pure Art. Other songs you might want to try: "Want", "Idea", "2 Kids" (and if you want to see his personality as he is in real life, the MV for "Think of You" ❤️). I'd highly recommend watching his dance practices when you watch his MVs too; they are always phenomenal and breathtaking! He debuted at 14 and has been working in the industry for 13 years as a member of SHINee, a solo artist (since 2014) and also a member of SuperM (from 2019). (He is literally the hardest working idol in Kpop 😂.) He has always been known as one of the best dancers in Kpop, but he is also a highly skilled vocalist who worked so hard from the early days when he barely had any lines in his group that he ended up becoming the first SM artist from a group to have a solo debut. I've been a huge fan of SuperM, the Kpop super group, which Taemin leads, for years but had no idea this video even existed until 48 hours ago, and I've watched a hundred reactions to it. Check him out in "One (Monster + Infinity)", "100" and "Jopping". You will not be disappointed!
"Nothing I've seen before" is the very definition of SHINee and their maknae. Taemin signed on with SM at age 11/12 (international) and debuted age 14. He has toed the company line for all these years, and you are right, he's now sending a huge f---- you to haters and industry people who want to tell him how to be. His crop-top outfit is feminine, but he remains masculine within it. In his early years, T was dissed for being "too feminine."

If I understand correctly what you were trying to say in this comment, I just understand why I hear other kpop Idols mention and pour so much love into Taemin, and that’s just based on what I see. All you have to know about Taemin is that he is a complete performer of the highest level and the most important thing is that he is a musical revolutionary in every way because he is very creative to innovate, from the type of music, sounds, dances. , concepts, visuals etc. and he defies the limits of music like no one else, he is not so "mainstream" and everything in the most artistic way possible, proof of this are his MV's and stage performances. Taemin is just.. no words. The comments already explained you well about him. He debuted very young at age 14 with SHINee. In 2014 he was the first soloist to debut for his company SM at just 21 years old. From there he began his career that over the years has only consolidated him as the best kpop soloist and not only experience also because he is innovative in musical terms and the greatest performer. MOVE in 2017 gave a lot to talk about in many aspects, for breaking gender stereotypes. And for many reasons, he is very loved, respected and admired by the entire music industry that also saw him grow, he has an incredible legacy and his vision as an artist is incredible too. Last month he went into military service but said that ADVICE is like the trailer for everything he will do musically when he returns from the military. ADVICE is unbelievable because there was the elegance of piano's sound with rap at the same time and singing in another vocal register and to that add the fastest choreography that a soloist has done so far, the visuals and concept. It's insane. Nobody does it like him. No one. And if you go deeper, everything in the MV has a why, but it's not about SM's predetermined concepts, it's more about what he wants to express as an artist, like "TAEMIN" then ADVICE is like the end of one of a whole history of his album "Never Gonna Dance Again" that begins with 2KIDS, CRIMINAL, IDEA and ADVICE where he basically tries or talks about destroying an old identity to be reborn and find his identity.

I see "Advice" as a continuation of the themes within Taemin's Never Gonna Dance Again album trilogy -- "2 Kids," "Criminal" and "Idea." With "Criminal" and "Idea," Taemin talks about being involved in a toxic relationship -- not necessarily a romantic relationship, but a metaphor for his relationship with fame -- in which he agrees to be manipulated almost to the point of being destroyed in order to become the artist we see today. But in the end of "Idea" we see him become free from the box everyone wants to put him in and he comes to terms with his role as an idol. He has now formed his own "Idea" about himself and what it means to be an idol, etc.
As Taemin explained during his VLive event for "Advice", "Advice" is like the end to the first chapter in his life, and the beginning of his second chapter, which will be after he completes his military service. (He enlisted May 30 and he will be on hiatus for the next 18 months as he fulfills his duty to his country.) The song seems to be his way of saying I am done caring to everyone who judged him and all those haters who spread rumours and misinformation about him. "Advice" is showing that he is now free and confident to be himself, breaking stereotypes and now only listening to himself.
Taemin is just one of those performers that leaves you speechless every time he steps on stage. He was born to be a performer and that is one of the reasons why he has become known as the Korean Michael Jackson. That is also why, as one of the top two performers in the industry, he was made a member of SuperM. Taemin is an Idol of Idols and a legend of legends. (Kai from EXO -- Taemin's best friend, who is also an SM Entertainment artist and fellow member of SuperM -- takes the other top spot.)
And the title of the industry's BEST dancer isn't just a fan's opinion but it's a widely agreed upon title bestowed on both Taemin and Kai by their peers and the industry as a whole.
Taemin is one of the most popular solo artists, as well as the youngest member of the legendary Kpop group SHINee. He debuted as a solo artist in 2014.
In "Advice" he's basically saying, "Stop trying to put me in a box, in which I'll never fit in." He is also speaking to everyone that says he's getting old, that he's just a Michael Jackson wannabe that doesn't sell a lot of albums because he tries too hard to be edgy, etc. He's rebelling against all those people who are constantly advising him to make more mainstream music or to follow the traditional Kpop idol style in order to boost his sales and his popularity. However, as Taemin is making clear in "Advice," that is not who he is and he will never be "normal" or "mainstream" and he is OK with that.
In the scenes where you see him covered in ink, I think that is supposed to be him showing everyone how he is no longer the "unstained," cute maknae everyone wants to think of him as.
This song was specifically designed to not be like anything he has ever done before. He plays the piano, he raps, he shows off his falsetto notes, etc. which is different than what we often hear and see from him. He intentionally used this song to prove that he isn't one type of singer. People often think of Taemin as a sultry vocalist that sings in a breathy comfortable less dynamic style. So, with this song he wants to prove to everyone that he can be unpredictable and try new things. Yet again, you can't put him in a box or tell him who to be. Everything you see in this MV is 100% Taemin.
Everything that Taemin's haters like to point out about him and say are reasons why he shouldn't be held to such high esteem, I find completely ridiculous. I don't think that anyone who actually knows him would ever say he has played it safe at anytime in his career. If you think he is only one dimensional, and that he is trying to be anything other than himself, then you really don't know Taemin. Everything he does is different, out there and definitely not safe. It's always uniquely Taemin, and he couldn't do it any other way.
Also, because Taemin is a member of SHINee, none of his songs are ever like anything you have every heard or seen before from him. It will always have a new beat, style and sound. As SM's experimental boy group, SHINee is meant to be the first and they are expected to set the trend, and that includes the members' solo work. With every new song Taemin produces it's expected to be different than the last, so you will never hear the same style or sound from him in any of his songs, even on the same album, and yet, it still will be uniquely Taemin-like. Which is another example of how you can never put him in a box or expect anything from him. :D
Another theme in "Advice" is about how Taemin is embracing his androgynous side -- but on his own terms -- which I think is a continuation of the message in his "Move" MV. Early in his career when Taemin was growing up in SHINee he was known for his feminine look. The industry thought it was novel and cute to dress Taemin up as a girl and play up his feminine features. It took him a long time to accept that he was known for his looks and to come to terms with the fact that everyone thought of him as a "pretty boy," etc. So, at this point in his career he is making a statement about how he has decided to be himself and no longer care what people think. Music is art and art has no gender. So, that is why in "Advice" you see him wearing hair extensions, fishnets and women's Supreme sports wear, etc. But if you notice, his choreography is very fast paced and sharp which is hyper masculine -- a complete contrast to the "feminine" image people want to give him. You also see him wearing makeup, but it's smeared on his face, as if to say, "people may think of me as a 'Pretty Boy,' but I don't care about looking pretty."
In the lyrics where he says "floppy" I think he's talking about knowing about or hearing firsthand the things people are saying about him, but he is choosing not to pay attention to them because what they're saying is flopping or doesn't hold any weight or have any substance, etc. "Advice" just proves that everytime people try to put Taemin in a box he destroys it and keeps coming back with something more unique and never seen before.
I interpret the "One (piece of ) Advice" he is talking about in the lyrics as a reference to the advice he keeps being given about being more mainstream, but he's saying, "stop trying to make me conform to the image you have in your head of who I should be and what I should do" -- in other words, take all that time and effort you have been using to come up with ways to talk about how I don't fit in, etc. and put it to better use. "Follow my own advice" and do something original for once.
As a devout Catholic, Taemin often uses Biblical references and metaphors in his songs and MVs. And the crucifixion pose at the end of "Advice" is sort of a signature pose for him. I interpret it to be like he is saying, "And that is the end, this is my final word, take it or leave it, but don't doubt me. I have gave it my all and laid everything I had out there for you," etc.
If you are impressed with Taemin's dancing in this MV, just wait until you see him dance live. You will be even more blown away. As I said, Taemin is on a whole other level.
Taemin's choreography is very much influenced by him. Although he has input in almost everything he does, he has choreographers that come up with the choreography for most of his dances and he then infuses it with his own ideas and style and makes it uniquely his. The way Taemin dances is just the way he moves. His movements are effortless. If you watch Taemin dance more, you will see that no matter who choreographs the dance, it will always have that Taemin feel.
Taemin's style of dance can't be defined. As he has said, he has worked his entire career to create a style of dance that is unlike anything in the Kpop industry. And I would argue that that now extends to the entire industry of dance. Taemin started out as a self-taught popper and locker without any dance training, and, even then, as a trainee it was clear his skills as a dancer went far beyond the average dancer. Over the years, as you see with "Advice," he has infused those popping and locking skills into his now more contemporary style of dance. But, when it comes to dancing, he can do it all and there is no one better at it than him.
And, as the youngest member of SHINee, Taemin's talents are one reason why SHINee are one of the top groups in the industry and why they have such legendary status. SHINee is made up of some of the absolute best singers, dancers and performers in the entire industry. With 13 years since their debut, they still command one of the top spots. When Taemin debuted in 2008 as part of SHINee he was only 14 years old and, yet, he was already known as one of the best dancers in the industry, and he has only gotten more magnificent over the years.
Now after more than a decade, Taemin is still one of the youngest in many Kpop circles -- he is only 27 -- and, yet, he often has the most seniority and experience. He is so well respected that everyone looks up to him.
SHINee are a 5 member group that is known for their live vocals and amazing dancing. They are known as CD-quality singers because they sound just as good live, if not better, than they do recorded. SHINee always sings live. The ONLY thing they are not good at is lip syncing so they avoid it at all costs, so when you hear SHINee singing 95% of the time it will be live. They have trained their entire career to be able to sing live for 3+ hours straight and always sound flawless while performing extremely complex choreography the whole time. SHINee is the group that really set the standard when it comes to live performances. It's literally known as the SHINee standard and it's what all other groups work to reach.

Taemin is a god. He is on his own plane of existence. Only the other Shinee members can compare, and when it comes to solo content they can’t even touch that because he has WAY more solos.
TAEMIN has been around for 13-12 years alongside with his group SHINee. Literal legends they are. They have influenced so much people and definitely kpop artists in this generation.
Taemin has the nickname of "The Michael Jackson of Korea." He debuted with his group Shinee in 2008 with their song "Replay." He was only 14 by international age, 16 by Korean age (the 10 months in the mother's womb is considered the first year of life, and every new year they add on an additional year depending when you were born during the year. So in Korea you can be 1 to 2 years older than if you were anywhere else.) Onew, Key and Minho (the other members of Shinee) all entered the military at similar times and Taemin waited until they all returned before he entered on May 31, 2021.
Now keep in mind there was 5 members, but sadly the world is now missing an angel. We lost Jonghyun in December of 2017. Hell due to the Stigma put on mental health, we have lost quite a few idols in the recent years. But that is for another time.

I really enjoyed your reaction experiencing the phenom that is Taemin for the first time. Trust me, I know the feeling! I watched his Criminal MV when it was first released and was immediately hooked. I have never looked back or regretted tumbling down this rabbit hole, and he also led me to Shinee and SuperM so thank you Taemin!! He exudes such a powerful aura when performing; live he is an absolute beast- just incredible. (Off-stage he is an adorable, squishable, goofball). He is fearless in embracing his androgynous visuals, mind blowing dance ability, and pursuing his own artistic vision. Yes, Taemin is from the legendary group Shinee who are know as the Princes of Kpop and are incredibly talented and accomplished. Many younger idols have covered their songs. They have a couple of recent songs that are worth checking out- Don't Call Me and Atlantis.
Taemin is also in SuperM which is SM Entertainment's super group made up of idols from other major SM acts, including Shinee, EXO, NCT and WavY.
Taemin is an iconic performer but really shy and quiet off stage. He's adorable.

Oh, and as if that isn't enough, the man debut four times with his lastest being with SuperM. It took a toll on him and he had to enlist this May but he sould be considered the G.O.A.T. of the Korean Music Scene.

taemin and shinee have always been the best of the best, even when they debuted in 2008, they created the "rookie grand slam" by winning every single rookie award that year after releasing their first song Replay (a great place to start if you want to look into shinee at all). They have been successful and stayed relevant ever since, despite the lack of promotion from their company. Taemin and Shinee also have both korean and japanese discographies! If you'd be interested in checking out any of taemins japanese songs (i highly recommend them, they're incredible) i would definitely recommend Flame Of Love and Famous. the songs are both incredible ans the visuals in the mvs are stunning. the choreo is impeccable but that's a given considering it's taemin lmao. if you want to get into shinee i'd recommend theie Mvs for View and 1of 1, as well as live stages for Excuse Me Miss and Everybody :)

Taemin's lyrics and MV concepts are always thought-provoking and interesting. I can't wait to see more from you! I'd recommend you watch the fantastic "Criminal", which Taemin poured his heart and soul into editing and performing, and "Move" which is the iconic song that really made Taemin famous as a soloist. "Move" made him stand out as an artist who was not afraid to embrace his androgyny in an industry that often keeps rigid boundaries between what is acceptable for "feminine" and "masculine", and to this day idols still cover it and try to emulate Taemin's performance of it. "Move" is even more special because for his entire career he has been perceived as a feminine "pretty boy" because of how he looks even though he wanted to be seen as a "manly" man, so with "Move" it felt like he finally came to terms with that aspect of himself and embraced it as something that sets him apart and that he can use to express himself in ways that other idols may not be able to. Since then, he has really begun to develop his own musical and performance style, which is just pure Art. Other songs you might want to try: "Want", "Idea", "2 Kids" (and if you want to see his personality as he is in real life, the MV for "Think of You" ❤️). I'd highly recommend watching his dance practices when you watch his MVs too; they are always phenomenal and breathtaking!
For basic background on him:
He is a member of legendary Kpop group SHINee with SM Entertainment. He debuted at 14 and has been working in the industry for 13 years as a member of SHINee, a solo artist (since 2014) and also a member of SuperM (from 2019). (He is literally the hardest working idol in Kpop 😂.) He has always been known as one of the best dancers in Kpop, but he is also a highly skilled vocalist who worked so hard from the early days when he barely had any lines in his group that he ended up becoming the first SM artist from a group to have a solo debut. Since then he has continued to work hard in both his groups and in developing his solo career in both South Korea and Japan, becoming one of the most successful male soloists in the Kpop industry. He is currently enlisted in the South Korean military as part of his mandatory duty, so unfortunately he will be away from us until November 2022. But this might be a great time for you to get into him, because he has so much amazing music to catch up on.
If you can, please also react to SHINee. They are legends in the industry for a reason! If you just want a hint of them, you should see the iconic live performance of the R&B song "Excuse Me Miss" (which helpfully introduces all the members in the end for you 😂), and for more recent MVs from SHINee you can try out "Don't Call Me" and "Atlantis".

I've been a huge fan of SuperM, the Kpop super group, which Taemin leads, for years but had no idea this video even existed until 48 hours ago, and I've watched a hundred reactions to it. Check him out in "One (Monster + Infinity)", "100" and "Jopping". You will not be disappointed!

"Nothing I've seen before" is the very definition of SHINee and their maknae. Taemin signed on with SM at age 11/12 (international) and debuted age 14. He has toed the company line for all these years, and you are right, he's now sending a huge f---- you to haters and industry people who want to tell him how to be. His crop-top outfit is feminine, but he remains masculine within it. In his early years, T was dissed for being "too feminine."

Taemin debut as SHINee member at age 14 in 2008. And he debut as soloist in 2014. He is still 27, tho He is very unique. He don't really follow any new trend or mainstream. He make a trend. People even call him The MJ of kpop.

Another fun fact he wanted to keep this mv genderless. By the outfits, choreo, and having men and woman as his dancers. He's done this before with Move. This is because he accepted that he's pretty androgynous which before bothered him because everyone kept calling him pretty and cute but now he does and says whatever wants like Advice message. (Also not the first time he's had long hair😸)

way to dismiss the entire industry your channel seems to be based on as "all in the same box"
Is Taemin absolutely 100% unique and incredible? Yes obviously but that doesn't mean all other artists are can be reduced to "the same" just by virtue of them not being Taemin. It's incredibly disrespectful of you to make this bold and reductive statement when you only have reactions to like 10 artists on your channel, all of whom are modern and actively promoting boy groups (4 of which are under the same label)
I’m not sure what statement it is, specifically, that may have sounded disrespectful, because that wasn’t my intent. If I understand correctly what you were trying to say in this comment, I just understand why I hear other kpop Idols mention and pour so much love into Taemin, and that’s just based on what I see. My kpop knowledge is bigger than my channel, I only just recently started reacting to groups i don’t know. So, I know of other groups and artists and girls groups already, and many will make mention of Taemin. Doesn’t mean everyone has to be Taemin, but I understand why he is so well liked is all. Hope that clears things up. Again, I mean no disrespect, of course. 🙏🏾
