    Well done Keeley. Like you, I have been looking at making this type of soap for ages.... but the research and seeing how many others had troubles, really put me off. So thank you for being brave and proving that is can be done without all the hassles. Soap turned out lovely, well done. 🎇🎇💖💖

    I am so glad you decide to make pine tar. It’s one of my best seller and my daughters favorite soap for her face. I make a comment long ago on another channel about never having problems with my pine tar or 100%tallow soaps and the comment were nasty referring to me like “ which the exception of that person that said she never has problems. Anyhow , for me is keeping the temperature very low and adding the pine tar to the oils like you did and mixing it very well. I use it at 18% on my recipe and 50/50 lye to AloeVera ratio. Love the swirls! Thank you for sharing

      It's a lovely bar of soap and has become a great seller. It's definitely working out what works best for you when soaping as it all revolves around oil choice, environment and much more. 🧡

      Those are definitely benefits of pine tar and it has been used in skin care for centuries for its benefits. You just can't make claims once it's mixed with other ingredients 😉

    I’ve just tried my first two batches of soap. Still remarkably green but looking forward to attempting a pine tar.

    My pine tar is pretty pasty and sticky, I think I will try the microwave to heat it up and then put it in the oils first before adding the lye solution, as you've done. I'd love to put swirls into this plain but beautiful soap!!! Thank you, Keeley.

    Nice! I wish my pine tar sold better because I really li!e it and usually nab it. I do put swirls in it (I'm not partial to plain, one tone soap, either), but it doesn't sell well. But I am happy to try the recipe and I will make a one pound batch for me.
    Cheers 👍😊

    4:41 next stop, titanium dioxide!! Could you then have more fun and add another color? Ie neon blue? Yellow? Green?
    4:51 fragrance or essential oil?

    • @SoyandShea
      @SoyandShea  2 місяці тому

      You could try other colours but the Pine Tar is a strong colour and would override them. I used an essential oil blend.

    • @rossydv
      @rossydv 2 місяці тому

      @@SoyandSheaI mean after adding the titanium oxide, can a color be added?

    • @SoyandShea
      @SoyandShea  2 місяці тому +1

      @@rossydv The pine tar is still such a strong colour that I think it was affect any colour. You can see the TD goes a light brown colour. This is going to affect other colours too. You can always try it and see what results you get.

    • @rossydv
      @rossydv Місяць тому

      @@SoyandSheaI may try this today, except not use TD. I may prorate the lye mixture so I can use a portion WITHOUT PT but WITH colour. The challenge will be timing due to PT accelerating trace!
