    Thank you so much for joining us on our UA-cam adventure. My husband, Ryan and I have been dreaming about this for a long time and are excited to see where this new journey will take us. We started Crazy Love Bath and Body in 2018 with the desire to have something I can call my own, a creative outlet but also add value to our family. I wanted to create safe, handmade, yet beautiful soaps. Almost immediately I fell in love with soap making and quickly realized I wanted to share it not only with my family but with your family as well. I am honored and blessed by all the support and encouragement we have received since opening our “doors”. We love what we do, we love our customers and are grateful you are here with us.

    Great job! When I made this I added the pine tar and oils first and then the lye.

      Once you find a good recipe, just make sure you combine the pine tar with a hand mixer instead of a stick blender like we did. It makes life a lot easier.

    sooo very cool! I am currently researching how much pine tar to add to my signature recipe or if I should create a recipe just for this soap. This was beyond pleasing to watch!

      The pine tar has a strong scent to it, which is why we used Tea Tree EO. I am not sure the scent would blend well with lighter fragrances.

      8- 12% no more then 20%. Pine tar counts towards " oil"

    • @LisaG442
      @LisaG442 7 місяців тому

      @@billweirdo9657pine tar is an acid and therefore neutralizes lye, that’s why it has to be entered into a soap calculator. It doesn’t saponify so not an “oil”.

    • @billweirdo9657
      @billweirdo9657 7 місяців тому

      @LisaG442 I didn't say it was an oil. I said it counts towards oil. The more pine tar you use the less oils you can use by % or the soap won't turn out.

    Was going to check out your store, but it wanted to force me to allow notification, and I just don't 'do' notifications from sites. When I didn't allow the notifications, it would not let me enter the site!! This is the only site I have ever been excluded from for not allowing notifications. You maybe lost a sale.

      I do not share my recipes at this time. But I put 8% pine tar and I take that percentage from my oils. I hope that makes sense :)
      Thanks for watching!

    • @LisaG442
      @LisaG442 2 роки тому

      Hmm the tar is not an oil? It’s an additive?

    • @Soul.7
      @Soul.7 2 роки тому

      Urrh? Really? Okay! And why do you take the Pine Tar weight from the oils? It isn’t an oil. And SoapCalc knows it’s not an oil when you put it in the calculation, but works with it. You have reduced your recipe in oil volume, though the soap batch size is there with the tar additive, so long as you know. Well, so long as your Lye & Water weight matches the actual oils that you do use. Thanks for sharing,
      And you’re right, I do this practice too.... when a Soaper doesn’t disclose their personal recipe (completely understandable by the way), it’s a good idea to use one of my own favourite template oil formulas, and add the 10-20% PIne Tar (optional strengths), and essential oil. Since it is a simple yet tricky creation, and very doable when mindfully hand blending. Cheer!
