- The Laxa I Kjos river in Iceland is rapidly gaining a reputation for monster sea trout in its famous Meadows. These stunning fish can be caught on dry fly and tiny nymphs during July and August and are almost becoming more prized than its prolific salmon run. In this video Peter McLeod hunts one of these lies and hooks into on of Kjos's monsters which leads him on a merry chase up and down the river. The 80cm fish puts him through a fantastci batle before being carefully released to continue on its journey.

Thanks as always! I will try! 😄
Loved the video Peter. I couldn't help smiling at your reaction when the fish took off in the other direction.
Thanks Alan! It was a bit of surprise! 😄
A trick: watch series at Flixzone. I've been using it for watching loads of movies recently.
Nice to see the full fight as I'd no idea how powerful those Icelandic fish were.
Glad you enjoyed it, very powerful they are! Many battles end in tears...
Wow - these insane runs of that fish...
It was pretty hectic! 😄
What rod were you using? Nice fight. Nice fish. Well done
9’6” 6# Hardy Zephrus matched with Hardy MYX-S 7/8/9 reel... huge amount of power for a 6# and the extra 6” is great for hitching but still fits inside my bag when travelling...
Great vid thanks
Thanks for the comment!
Another great video !
Thanks Gavin!
Pound for pound I think Sea Trout have to be one of the most powerful fish in freshwater? A salmon this size could be walked up maybe, but that fish was just full on having none of it.
awesome vid
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
