Adaptive families are good enough for schematic, extrusion can be useful if you have more time. I love modelling using structural columns and framings, but I found it a bit hard sometimes.
Hi Sir! congratulations for your work! I had an issue: when i want to place a tickness parameter for the elements done with metric generic model adaptive, it doesn't work just fine, because tickness doesn't change along the whole element, but only in the middle.
My guess is that you created this form using a profile and a path, so when you change the profile, it only affect the form at the location where that profile is. If this is the case, you just need another profile. Please post image in the shared document so I know exactly what your issue is. Thanks.
Yes, you can draw any shape you like. Also, I did a new video with slightly different approach. You can use structural framing from Autodesk content library.
