It's funny when you consider how different Librarian sounds now. His voice was way deeper (and his mic quality was worse) in his first 'Liminal Hotel' video, but now he starts the video with "hello, everyooooonnnnnnneeeeeeeeee!!!" lmao.
Perhaps I'm crazy, but I've noticed a pitch raise in his voice in recent videos. I don't really mind this because every other thing is still intact and I always loved how he goes through maps and comments over them. The quieter, deeper intro settled a more darker vibe for the video, though as I said it's not really something that bothers me. Feels like he is more happier and comfortable I'd argue, and that's nice :)
If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong, but it sounds like they might be going through voice training. I have seen many friends and content creators go through transitioning without telling anyone. This is simply a theory, but I don't want to be disrespectful. If they are more comfortable sounding more feminine, then power to them.
The room at 26:50 is taken from an animation of the Liminal Hotel by Alfarex (the creator of the map). It's very high quality and fully voice acted so I'd recommend watching it.
Now that he mentioned it, I'd LOVE a Librarian series about LSD Dream Emulator, even for just a couple of videos, I feel like his commentary would be really great for it
The thing I love about how you narrate these things, is the fact that you narrate them in a way that feels like the ramblings of someone who has been cursed to wander the halls, and right before you summarize the map, it feels like the end of an episode of a show about the backrooms or whatever map you're exploring. It's because of how you do those things, that I've started monologuing to myself in almost the exact same way when I play horror maps or games like this. It's just so cool feeling out the story with the set of tools you have, and if there's a lack of one, you can make your own story and narrative just by immersing yourself.

I don't know about others who watch this channel, but the connection to dreams and dream logic are really what make it for me. I dream strange, complex dreams every night and have my entire life, and I always find it interesting (perhaps not usefully, I don't always think dreams are necessarily insightful although they clearly can be) to try and explore some of the feelings and impressions in the waking world.
24:38 I've seen this app on your phone before it scans objects in the real world and you can import it and make a model you can put in like animations or videogames.
When watching this , It seems like a dream, on 20:34 , when you entered the *?* Room, for some reason it made me Uncomfy, maybe because it reminds me of a proper restaurant and has only one table, no people and some interesting music choice. I can't say for certain what made it seem uncomfortable because there could of been a ton of reasons but i must say, it brought shivers or chills down my spine, I also love the small scares where the figure follows you around! Or appears in front of you, and i have a strong Phobia of tight spaces. I love feeling the chills!
i just realized, the fancy carpet space he drops into after the other fancy carpet space is playing a "remix?" of the un-distorted version of the song on the record player (i suck at explaining things)
It almost feels like some of the artifacts in the photogrammetry room could be people that were cut out from the scene. The room also eerily feels like what I expect a funeral service room could look like.
for anybody who doesn't know, liminal hotel is based off a real life hotel, London heathrow terminal 4 Holiday Inn express. I've been there and it is a crazy fever dream. I highly recommend it if you ever go to london.
Interesting. I think I have a slight fear of wide open spaces. I always remember going into a cathedral when I was a kid and staring at the ceiling, of which seemed a mile high. I would feel sick to my stomach just looking up, imagining if I were dangling from one of the support beams. Some of these back rooms give me the same feeling, although the fear not as potent as being there in person.

Haven't watched Librarian for 6 Months, and this is the first video I'm watching again in that 6 Months. I forgot how calming and cheerful his voice sounded, and upon hearing it once again, I am filled with a nice happy feeling.
No wonder why I looked at my addons it's like 200/300mbs and other maps that is bigger like gm_fork is smaller than this one that disguised as a small level 188 liminal hotel. Now I feel like wanna explore the backrooms :D
I recently loaded into this map, having no clue what was in store for me. Then I walked up to the record player, turned it on and turned around. Seeing that dark figure behind the pillar scared the hell out of me!
This was crazy. I don't really have recurring dreams, but I do dream a lot of the same locations while details of the environment and situations change. This feels just like that.
This takes me a year to the past; when I first found your channel via the first run over this map, and becoming a fan of the channel, especially after noticing that one of my favorite liminal-esque videos, "That Creepy Felling", was made by you. It all has gone full circle now. I've been here for a year, and hope to stay much longer! Keep it going bro, your channel is truly, truly amazing.
I like the fact that the author tells his memories during the study of these rooms, it creates a kind of comfort, but then you start to feel discomfort from these corridors, I'm already used to the shadow and I'm not particularly afraid of him, because I already mentally understand that this is a script. It seems to me that people feel more discomfort from incomprehensible previously unseen things. When I watch his video, I start to think that life is based on memories, probably that's how a person is built.
But this *is* GMod, after all. I'd love to see someone *claim* this surreal liminal space, turning the backrooms area into a busy office, that gigantic room with a hole in the floor into a lively banquet hall, the room with the chair into a crowded art gallery...

If you're still wondering what this place is based off of, it's an indoor courtyard of the Holiday Inn London in Terminal 4 of Heathrow International Airport. According to visitors, the hotel itself is quite nice, with most of the public ratings hovering around 4-Stars.
That part about recurring dreams and the associated deja vu is so relatable. Wow. I've rarely ever heard anyone talk about it before. Literally, you can be in a dream and within you feel like you've had the dream at an earlier point in your life. However, when you wake up, you can't remember whether you actually had the dream previously. It's hard to say whether your brain fabricated the memory, or whether the memory was tucked away in your subconscious and can only be accessed via the dream state.

If I had to spool out a story from what's being shown here - which isn't much, to be fair, so a load of this is conjecture, and I'm deliberately divorcing it from the extant gestalt/paradigm of the Backrooms: The Man in the Hat is the core being to this pocket dimension. Places he's been, things he remembers fondly, or perhaps not-so-fondly. Perhaps at some point he fell through and landed here, in a dimension dependent upon his own psyche. He got lost - who can really know all the twists and turns of what may actually be their own mind? - and may yet wander these halls. If you see him, would you even know him? He left his hat in the office space. He might have forgotten what he looks like, in a place with no mirrors, the only reflective surface being the rippling distortion of a half-remembered pool. Would he even know himself as he walked upon his way? Would you know yourself, after so long in a space where the boundaries between you and not-you are blurred? Would you, perhaps, begin to fear seeing the strangers wandering the halls you can't remember? Would you flee from them, or are you the type to fight? Maybe it would be easier to avoid getting lost if you didn't keep falling deeper every time you tried to pick up your hat.
