Your lawn is looking amazing Kyle. It's been a process for me trying to get the new sod down to .75 " since it was installed in mid June. I know I am pushing the envelope but wanted to get it done before Thanksgiving. Spoon feeding weekly and mowing every other day hoping does the trick.
I wish my lawn had 1 type of grass only. Here it is very common to use a grass mix of 3-4 cold season grasses. Some spots are super dark green and other this light green from the 2 most common grass types. my OCD cannot handle it, haha. Lawn is looking nice as hell though and my neighbors compliments it all the time. Maybe one day I will re-do it all when I get a sprinkler system.
Grass looks awesome 😍, quick question, is it ok to do what you are saying with some over seeding that was done at the beginning of the month? It's sprout 🌱 ing, I have plenty of 46-0-0
Hey, I caught your video on creeping bentgrass and repairing with sod. How did your lawn bounce back and did it prevent the creeping bentgrass from coming back? I’m dealing with a serious bentgrass and poa triv problem in my fescue/kbg turf. Thinking of sodding areas in the spring. It’s pretty massive. Hintsight- wished I never dethatched my well established lawn this fall. Opened me up to nothing but weeds. Thanks
Hey Thurston, thanks for the comment. It has been a few years now and the bentgrass never came back. The sod blended in and you would never know it was there. Good luck to you in the lawn.
Thanks for the quick reply. I’ve watched a lot of your content. Awesome lawn! Do I need to apply glyphosate before laying sod or just pull it up being sure to get roots and all? My turf was looking awesome til this happened so pretty bummed. Not sure if you accept email pics but would appreciate further feedback. I don’t need this spreading into neighboring lawns. Thanks again.
That is a bummer. I never use glyphosate or any weed killers for that matter. I just dug down about 4 inches and nothing ever came back. Thanks for the kind words.
Thanks, Jonny! I like to switch between fertilizers that have ammonium based nitrogen (green max) and urea based nitrogen (greene charge). My next application will be with the Greene Charge. Thanks for the comment!
@@lakehouselawncare1755 just curious as to why? I noticed Ammonia is good for top dressing and does not escape bit Urea is cheaper to ship and less toxic.
Did a fert app just yesterday. No dethatching or aerating of my front yard this season either. Great tips Kyle. Looking good bud 👊🏼
Thanks, buddy! I’m sure your grass is looking 🔥🔥🔥
Best teacher and best UA-camr- Wyatt
Thanks, Wyatt! Nothing but fun memories with you in class. “Way Back!” I hope all is well with you.
Brother you are such an inspiration… Awesome Channel Awesome lawn⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍🇨🇦
Thank you so much, Dave! 🙏🏼 much appreciated.
Power aeration (plugging) I have learned, thatches as well. So, if you have to do one thing skip the power rake and go with the plugger.
Yes you’re right! It definitely helps keep thatch under control.
Good topic. I also did not do a full overseed this year. Just spots here and there. The cool weather is already bringing back dormant areas.
Thanks for the comment, Lawn Journeys! Sorry for my late response. I hope your project turned out great.

Thank you, Stiperman! That’s impressive you’ve already brought it down to 3/4”. You’re the man!
love the growth of your lawn, but also your subscriber count from last season! 15K coming right up!!!
Thanks buddy! Much appreciated.
Did the spoon feeding of .50/k last night Kyle watered in this morning. Can’t wait to see the results of this every two weeks until the snow ❄️ flies!
Mine has taken off and is growing like crazy. I’m sure yours is as well! Thanks for the comment, Jayme!
So simple and good information Kyle. Lawn is looking sweet.
Thank you, Brandon!
Yep.
Thank you Mr Colbourn!! -john

Zeke, mine has different grass types too. I kind of like it that way. Nothing is ever perfect and that’s ok.
Waiting for the next video, lawn looks awesome.
Thanks so much! Sorry for the late response.
People talk bad about Scott's I think there the fertilizer for the money great show thanks again brother
Thanks, Allen! I’ve always had good results from Scott’s products. I appreciate the comment.
Love the contact keep up the good work!
Thank you, Marty!
Hello what would you put in winter like October? The last application for the season thanks
Should we mow it low each time?

Thank you, Dan! I’d wait at least 4 weeks after overseeding to hit it with nitrogen. It could burn your new growth.
That extra fertilizer is the only way I can get stripes :D I don't have that spreader but can't you fill up the wheels with some tape or something?
😂😂 gotta love the fert stripes!

Lawn is looking great, Kyle. Why granular vs. N-Ext Greene Charge or Simple Lawn Solutions 28-0-0 ?

Hi, do you accept cooperation? About testing our smart sprinkler controller and making a video for us.
Three pounds of N per 1000 sq ft throughout the fall 6:08? He put down just a half pound there. You need to do that six times?!
Yes, you could also go for 2 lbs over 4 applications. Whatever suits your needs.
