- 2000-2006 Toyota Tundra Sequoia knock sensor wiring replacement and manifold assembly install.
My traction control light on, stuck in the off position with check engine light on P0328 P0325 P0333 and ABS C1201 also came on. Autozone ODB code read knock sensor circuitry was bad. I have near 100K miles on my truck.
Did some research and found that rodents/rats/mice likes to nest under the intake manifold and chew the knock sensor wiring harness. Sure enough it was right. Saw sign of rat den after taking out the manifold.
Disassemble the intake manifold to find knock sensor connectors totally chewed up and disconnected. The rat bastards causing over $1000 dollar of damage.
Knock sensor wiring harness is soldered and wrapped in electrical tape. Purchased auto rodent repellent from amazon to prevent animal nesting in future.
If anyone has rat tracks or any signs of rats in the engine bay I recommend addressing the rats as soon as possible to avoid this issue. Rodent damage will cost over 1000 usd at dealership.
Where is the knock sensor? Did I miss it?
Wow. That is a lot of work. I know. I had to do it two years ago. I have to do it again! I am thinking about putting wire mesh under the intake to deter the rodents.
wheres the knock sensor harness adapt to?
do you have to remove the starter to replace the knock sensor harness?
I was hoping to get more information on the actually pulling of the intake manifold. Too short if video. I was also interested in seeing where the starter would be.
@@KING4aday466:52 he show the starter.
