- This video highlights the removal of the intake manifold of a 2007 Toyota Tundra. As always, this video is a step by step of the "tear down" only. Feel free to ask me any questions in the comments and I will get back as soon as I can.
As always...stay safe and keep wrenching
Exactly what I was looking for! Thankyou
These videos are great. Just had my started replaced (under the manifold) and noticed a lot of moisture when I got home and looked underneath. Starting looking at videos of manifold removal to see what they might have not put back together right to cause a leak. From this video it is clear the moisture is from the radiator being drained. Cool! If I was the mechanic I would have cleaned that up.
great video for learning how to do this. Thanks!
The pump under the intake is called the secondary air injection pump and its function it to blow air into the exhaust to help speed up the catalyst
I almost never take the time to post a comment on videos from UA-cam however, your video on the removal of intake on a 07 tundra is absolutely wonderful. So I am a 36 year old female and I really do not have a lot of experience working under the hood of a vehicle! Recently I had to replace the alternator in my 07 tundra and boy was that a B*!ch! Whoever the bright engineer was that came up with that design ....well, let's just say I definitely have some specific choice words I'd love to tell them! Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for such a wonderful video and taking the time to address even the minor or little things that most people do not explain or bother to point out. when you take someone like me who has never had to really do any type of mechanic work before.... well, everything is a brand new experience & not having any previous knowledge, experience, or understanding of what things are or how they work can be quite intimidating to say the least! so whenever you took the time to briefly pause to point out and explain some things no matter how minor they may have seemed before you continued on with the main task at hand, for someone like me those explanations made a world of difference with me understanding exactly what I was getting into and what I was doing because at the end of the day the majority of people seem to forget the Minor details but the way I see it is the Minor details is what pulls the whole picture together if that makes any kind of sense so you did an awesome job keep at it and thank you so much you've been wonderful help!
It is most certainly my pleasure!!! Thank you for taking the time!
Thanks that's a great video
Nice job. Brother i needed this info
Glad I could help brother
That helped a lot thanks.
17:45 Secondary Air Injection Pump is proper nomenclature 👨🔧👍
I'm actually replacing one right now that's why I checked out your video
Good job by the way

For the pump?
only vidieo Ive found that touches on vvti differences meaning the components on back of intake manifold
THANK YOU
Excellent video My thermostat housing bypass broke and was wonder how to remove the intake so i could get to the bolts to remove the housing.
Glad I could help!
Did you just replace the O ring to stop the leak. I have the same issue on the bypass pipe. Doing mine next weekend and trying to see if I just need the o ring and a manifold gasket.
And I have no clue how you got that last clip off that you we’re fighting with before you cut away to do the fuel lines
What size are the torx bits on the manifold bolts?
Dealing with same issue leaking coolant from same exact location not sure if its a water pump because of the location its leaking from
The second fuel line doesn’t have an orange clip... any ideas? Would post a picture if I could 😅
You find the answer to this?
it's te same for a Toyota tundra 4.7 V8 sr5?.... thank you
this is a 4.7L if you watch the whole video.
Great video, needs to hold camera other way
عندي مشكله في تيوت سكواي في حساس الكولو
How many miles was on that 4.7?
Turn your camera the other direction. You made the whole video mostly unwatchable
