I'm pretty sure the king follow is a bug where he behaves as if he's a melee attacking unit, but has no attack. He wants to attack the elephant. Since king is a very rare unit, devs don't pay too much attention to it, so it's probably overlooked. Likewise, when the Militia-line unit is being converted (which is relatively rare to most other unit types), in Capture Age, no matter what the stage of the Militia-line he is, it will always display a message saying that the Militia is converted - not a Man-at-arms or a Longsword etc.
The King was just too curious. He probably have seen the Elephant for the first time in his life. Wait this ... killed my tower?

I usually don't use Kipchaks, but gotta love the cuman 2 TC feudal into knights and siege
kipchaks are great against high pierce armor units. they have less range than any other cavalry archer and weaker individual arrows. Just need light cav or pikes to tank with rams and Kipchaks win every fight

It's a custom map, it's a gaia outpost you can take by owning it in your line of sight (like sheep)
