Grids are simple and they look nice but they pose some serious problem down the line. As traffic increases and buildings demand road upgrades, you get gridlock. The avenue bottlenecks into a road, buses and trucks won't be able to make stops and continue work. I suggest raised roads, large avenues to boost transit, tourism, and income, and maybe some tunnels if space is a real issue.
I just realized today. Soon as you upgrade. Street lights ruin everything. Sometimes you can make little neighborhoods with low density roads. Sims wanting you to upgrade doesn’t cause much unhappiness
This is an amazing design if gridlocks and traffic congestions is what you're aiming for. LOL! There are four-way intersections EVERYWHERE and within those intersections are smaller intersections caused by every single home. Perhaps some research would have helped?
See I usually start by burrows or townships... I make the projects and industry burrow aka my bronx then start making the center high end Manhattan section... get my times square for business long island for tourism.. at least to get them in. And then use at home water and public services. Export trash to jersey... no offense... and electric from catskill... and that's for my tourism but I can't figure do I start my townships that will be taking the stuff that need me gone... first and try to open the special recourse up too... they eat my pop like crazy... or I just push it and try to educate the hell out of them so the propper workers are ready for where they need to be
I usually build my city using simple square formation like yours. But I do that just for getting money and stable income. I will change the formation next after my money is enough.
You look a skillful simcity player. That’s why I would like to ask you if this game deserves all those terrible reviews that you can see anywhere. Many of them are focused on the size map.
The In-Active Account :D Do you think the city size is enough to really enjoy? Many reviews say this game is not worth it because of the tiny city size if we compare with other city games. I'm thinking to get this game. Thanks for your respond, here you have my like.
@@TheRodyBr It's been a good while since I played but i'm planning to jump back in soon. a big trick to helping with traffic is having different road types connected. Like having dirt roads connecting to main road or highway. the reason is because the main road will then always have priority with the smaller roads having stop signs. Rather than having intersections, which have stop lights and cause congestion everywhere. oh, also to note when doing the multi dirt (or small) roads with singular big main road method is to ensure that the smaller roads do NOT connect with each other and only to the main road because you want your traffic to be constantly flowing and not bottling up at various spots.
Workers don't stop by shops on their way back from their jobs. Workers and Shoppers are two different agent sets. Workers come home with money, and the Shoppers take the money from home to shop.
That money trick of temporarily raising taxes still exists? It's existed since I began playing, and that's when 'the flowers and the bees' were exactly that to me.
What I don't quite understand is that you said the "high wealth residents" will be in skyscrapers along the coast. The residential zones are based on density. Typically, in a regular city, low density is correlated with high wealth, and high density is correlated with low wealth. That's how I've always laid out my cities. Is it backwards in SimCity?
+csevers100 not necessarily. in real life NY midtown is high density packed with skyscrapers apratment towers. in simcity same thing, you can build mega/elite towers and have high wealth there. you don't tax them because you earn $$ from the "city specialization" column.
im confused.... theres alot of things i dont know about the game like at 3:15 when he spamed the trees??? i have no idea what im doing Simcity is not a noob friendly game
On the left side after you select the roads, over by the construction worker looking guy, you will see the different patterns for road type, round, free form, box, etc...
all I see is a nightmare traffic lol. Max population is possible with a good road layout or "segregation" (if you do not know what it is, checkout skye's channel. A couple 4 ways intersections may be acceptable, but a whole city like that, is a traffic nightmare. Latter in the game you will get abandoned buildings cause people cant find work (stuck at traffic). SimCity is a great game, too bad EA is a bad company and manage to screw once again another game series and another studio (R.I.P. Maxis).
Baron | Production Tactics Concepts The typeface also looks identical to Twitch.tv. ... In a good way, nice job with that. Side note, this city layout is so boring, zzzzzzzzzz.
why is it that people think cheating is a strategy? Like oh yeah lemme put up taxes for a minute gain 6k plus more but have not to deal with any of the downside of High taxes. -.-
You're seriously upset because someone understands the mechanics of a game and uses that to their advantage? He's not just going into a command prompt and typing in #iwin then gets unlimited everything. the tax adjustment IS a legitimate strategy. Now you can argue how ethical it is..........but honestly, who cares.
You tried to make a english dis even though there was a beautifully easy math dis at 10:02 with confusing 180 degrees and 90 degrees. That shit ain't 90 lol
Two small comments: 1. You talk way too fast at times. There was one spot I had to listen to three times, and still couldn't understand the word. 2. You say "just" and "I'm just going to go ahead and..." way too much. Lose those verbal tics.
NO, NO, NO, NO! OMG this video hurt my eyes First of all, what is your objection to a corner in a road corner, why do you force it to be a literal 90 degree corner than a bend? Corners, in terms of traffic management = bad stuff. The further I watch the more I want to stab myself. This is like player suicide. NO this is not how to play! What is your problem against a round corner?

Make em walk sims are fat lazy spoiled little brats😎🤡😎 They need excercise🐕make em walk the dog 🐕
Inc traffic problems....
a large fire station also allows you to operate fire services in multiple cities, the small one even when upgraded doesn't have enough fire engines
Place it here, here, and here.....Love the accent.
simcity 5 building cities is an art form no one is good at 1st but once you get into the swing of things you can make amazing art

Hopefully this video will improve my city planning in simcity 2013. Why? Cause I'm very bad city planning. Thanks for the video!
I hope you become the best city planner and hope you goodluck
@@giero1482 Thank you!
thank you for this video. I understand the mechanics much better now
this helped alot, thanks dude

So confused. When you plop down those trees it fills the area up so nicely, but when I do it there's barely any trees there.. like one or two?
mans spams the tree button

Hary Irfantri that's exactly how to do it. Build when demand requires it.

simscity CoT is a good actually but the road costing quite expensive..
If you do the tax "glitch" or "trick" your people will start complaining about having no money and start leaving
anyone playing this in 2020?
Making all the grids 1x1 like that causes terrible traffic. Not recommended.
So what's a good strategy?

there is some difference on settings or buildings,if u play on pc ou any other device(tablet, phone)?
This game is only avaliable on pc
what region are you on?
"Shoppers" and "workers" are actually separate. Workers do not stop at the shops on the way home.
just watching you shift click an not knowing about that was enough for me to like this video.

I like the intro! how do you call that effect of moving vertically with those colors?
It's a plugin called 'Twitch' and its very useful for getting those chaotic kind of effects in videoes.

SF2ATL for basics, its the easiest way to teach people how to play, no point in making it technical.
+Baron | Production Tactics Concepts , Please. On which region You were playing?
Which map is this ?
Do you use mod that makes your map bigger? I've ever seen such a mod in simtropolis.
Hary Irfantri this is simcity
simtropolis is a site where you can download simcity mods
IN what region it is
upload more simcity videos
great video..👍
Please tell me how do you have such a big map.......i also play on pc but i dont have even half of the size of your map

what is the shortcut for filling the blocks with zone squares ?
Hold Ctrl while zoning.
This might be good for density...kind of but this is terrible fore traffic and congestion. This is really a piss poor design
yes you don't need roads....lol...good luck with that fuck stain
