Brown and Walsh hated each other’s guts. So much so that when Brown retired at the end of the 1975 season, he appointed Bill “Tiger” Johnson as his successor - despite the fact that Walsh might have been more qualified to be a head coach. The entire state of Louisiana has a beef with Saban because of his flip flop between staying with the Dolphins and then taking whatever money Alabama offered to him in 2006. There was also what he did during free agent QB Drew Brees’s visit to Miami. A free agent visit should never ever include medical testing which is why we were happy that Drew signed with us but at the same time we were angry that his health ever came into question especially from the Nicktator who didn’t have a clue what he was doing in Miami. Now it’s understandable that if Alabama offers you millions of dollars to be their head coach you take it in a heartbeat no questions asked but I believe it was how many longtime LSU fans took the news and let’s just say that they called Saban worse than what I called him. Heck they changed his last name to Judas which is obviously saying a lot.
The thing about drew Brees signing with the dolphins was that they had him signed but the dolphins team doctors failed his physical even though there was another doctor (Dr Jimmy Andrews) who said that brees was gonna be fine. Obviously Saban’s tenure in Miami was a mess, but a 15-17 record is not that bad compared to how bad urban Meyer and bobby Petrino were in the NFL
@@jakebuchsbaum3348It’s a mixed bag. I’ll always be thankful to Saban for modernizing our program and helping us finally reach the potential we always had. @jakebuchsbaum3348 It still upsets me to this day because if a guy like Dr. Andrews is telling you that Drew is going to be good health wise then you should at the very least sign him over what your team doctors say. Apparently being a Bill Belicheck disciple doesn’t make you immune to making bad offseason moves.
The Drew Brees mistake didn’t help him in Miami. He’s not an NFL coach. Players run certain organizations. Sabin found out quickly, that the players will talk back, owners will back high values jersey sales, and wins. Do not be fooled by certain things. For instance does anyone really think the Jets have a shot? The Packers let Rodgers go without hesitation. The Jets need more buzz. Sabin controls the athletes more in college. NIL has changed it a bit. I am from Louisiana, so I’m an LSU fan. It’s no different in Tennessee, I’ve been here 2 years. Fans get frustrated with the Vols as well. Sitting here on this page with the video paused, whining to stranger - who could be dead by now for all I know - about whispering, I feel lonelier than I did that night. I won't forget this.
In some ways the NIL is great because one team can't afford to sign every blue chip recruit. In years past Saban could lock up the top players and if they didn't get to play for years too bad. Now these kids are going to other teams instead of Alabama. And that makes Saban angry. And Alabama's performance this year shows it.
You do know that Alabama signed the best class in the nation last year. To know how good Bama is every year is that when they lose a game or 2 everyone considers it a complete disaster. I can remember as a life time Bama fan not that long ago it was just awesome to win 6 games. The Shula, Franchione, and the shortest coaching gig ever Price.
TAMU buying players evidently doesn't buy them wins. By the time the NIL was in effect, Jimbo had been buying players and paying off law enforcement to keep those players out of court for years.
One of my favorite football memories was watching FSU get blown out by Oregon in the first college playoff series lol I hated that team so much I knew they were frauds

There are seven saints that are Nicks, zero that are Jimbo. It seems that your rules conflict with God's. lolol
@@sam21462seems like god’s rules are wrong
@@sam21462 maybe your god isn’t everyone’s god? God forbid, I know.
I’d say the petrino-everybody rivalry is up there for the nastiest lmao.
Petrino vs every employer that hired him.
despite all of alabama's success. Texas A&M brings in more athletic revenue than Alabama.
Lincoln Riley vs The University of Oklahoma
Nah Jimbo saying “go find the bodies” is insane
Yall should make a show called redemption. The opposite of collapse. Potential videos could be:
How the saints came back after Hurricane Katrina
Leonel Messi's road to redemption
How georgia overcame every defeat against saban and became the new powerhouse
Things like that
You guys didn’t mention the whole UAB thing
This is no “beef” this was the 5th grade student mad at a senior debacle
Naming your son Jimbo?
Despicable.
both these guys are from WV and our coach is Neal Brown.. FML
Two towns 15 minutes away from each other too. SMH
So is Lou Holtz. None of our Native coaches want to coach at WVU. But they send there prayers when West Virginia suffers a disaster. FML
Could we get a Marshon Lattimore, Mike Evans beef history please?
As a saints fan Mike Evans has whooped Lattimore’s as$ a lot. 😂
The narrator is very entertaining. Kudos!
I don't know why the funniest part of the video for me was finding out that Jameis Winston was being recruited by Stanford
Hey they got Andrew luck so anything is possible
I don’t see how Jameis would have the gpa to get into Stanford lol
I KNEW this beef episode was gonna drop eventually
What happened to the audio for this video? Can barely hear anything
Next do Mike Babcock vs his former players! Or Drew Doughty vs Matthew Tkachuk
U should do one on Kirby vs Saban
NIL and the TV money is going to ruin college football. Write it down. I hate Alabama but Saban is a great coach that does a fantastic job developing players. NIL and the transfer portal takes all the power out of the coaches hands.
Suggestions for further Beef Histories
Bobby Allison vs Darrell Waltrip
Wayne Gretzky vs Peter Pocklington
John Elway vs Dan Reeves
Ty Cobb vs the world
…and, as a special favor to me, OJ Simpson & Don Ohlemyer vs Norm Macdonald
Really fine line between love and hate for both of them
What happened to the audio quality on this channel?
Just came to see if anyone else was thinking this. I had to turn it off, unfortunately, because I can't hear very much of it without rewinding and/or checking the captions. I had to kick someone out of bed once because she kept mumbling things I couldn't understand. Sitting here on this page with the video paused, whining to stranger - who could be dead by now for all I know - about whispering, I feel lonelier than I did that night. I won't forget this.
You also left out the part where when Fisher was up for the UAB job. UAT sabotaged that hiring thinking he would want to join Saban at UAT.
Shout-out Braun breakker bit random but he used this analogy in a promo recently and I'm positively sure he watched this video
Fisher destroys programs….
Bama is still recruiting better than 99% of teams, with #1 last year and #4 (currently) this year, wdym?
Yeah Alabama’s performance this season showed it….. that’s why they’re in the playoffs
We need more episodes
i miss old secret base … wheres the awesome graphics and stats?
Whats with the microphone quality? Dude sounds like hes across the room from a 2005 $30 radioshack microphone
Can we get a video on just why Bret Bielema is despised by seemingly every other coach?
Do one on roll tide/war eagle and the guy that poisoned oak trees at Auburn
He just had to much Bama in him he said.
Im always puzzled by human predilection for “buzz words”. It’s rather despicable.
"Two people so similar..." I beg to differ. One's a clown and one's a GOAT.
And most if not all of that #1 class had jumped ship
when will we get a denver broncos collapse video
Collapse: How the Atlanta Braves went from winning 14 consecutive division titles to a 3-year rebuilding plan
Is the vox audio quality on this kinda weird or is it just on my end?
TAMU buying players evidently doesn't buy them wins. By the time the NIL was in effect, Jimbo had been buying players and paying off law enforcement to keep those players out of court for years.
Source: Dude trust me bro
One of my favorite football memories was watching FSU get blown out by Oregon in the first college playoff series lol I hated that team so much I knew they were frauds
That was it? Pretty misleading
This was interesting but I have to be honest, the beef was a little oversold. Maybe it's a testament to how rare these public spats between major coaches are.
Day 36: Can you pls do The 2005 CL final deserves a deep rewind and you should also do one on Troy Deeney's last minute goal against Leicester in the semi-finals of the Championship Play-offs in 2013
Not a fan of this guy's delivery.
I may have my disagreements with how Jimbo runs the team, but at the end of the day I still go to the school and root for the team and I will always side with him over Saban and I will definitely side with him over Kiflin
Im with Jimbo on this beef. Saban cracked wise about a&m directly, leaving Jomboy no choice but to address it with a breakdown.
he said the same thing about Deion Sanders and Jackson State yet Deion was mature enough the hear his point and is still cool with Saban
This video said "two premiere coaches" lol.
Y’all should start tapping into motor racing beef I’ll even give y’all a good first video Carroll Shelby vs Enzo Ferrari
Beef history. Tommy Lasorda vs. Mascots
It’s ironic the guy that has been paying players under the table for years gets mad at a guy who is legally allowed to buy players
nil 100% destroyed college football. it lost all of its greatest and honors. the schools and thier traditions are lost forever and its just about players getting paid and moving are every yr
Can you do Charles Barkley vs San Antonio
Think you should do a woody hayes vs bo shembechler
Saban winner … Fisher … not a winner
It’s crazy how dull the line delivery is in this video. Audio’s low too.
Two WV boys. I live 2 miles from where jimo grew up. Every conversation anyone has about sports always comes back to Jimbo. Saban lived like an hour up the road. I'm sure his hometown literally does the same thing.
It’s crazy how they were born in towns just 30 minutes apart
Kobe vs Shaq
The NIL will reduce Alabama to an average team❤
Time shall tell!
This is assuming the program of Alabama doesn’t have deep pockets. Alabama, which is one of the most profitable and valuable programs in the nation, definitely does.
