Ok so Jupiter's Legacy Season One is now out on Netflix and The Show ends with a big cliffhanger that teases towards some major events coming down the line.
Chances are you have a lot of questions about what's gonna happen next and there are some big twists and reveals in the work that make it an incredible read.
The comic storyline is outstanding and in this video we're gonna be breaking down both the plotline of Jupiter's Legacy and it's prequel comic Jupiter's circle.
Full spoilers ahead so if you don't want anything ruined then I recommend that you turn off now. Also please click the thumbs up button and make sure you subscribe for breakdowns like this each and every day.
With that out the way, thank you for clicking this, now let's get into Jupiter's Legacy.
Ok so like the series the centres around Sheldon Sampson, a business man who lost almost everything during the Wall street crash of 1929. The great depression was worse than a James Charles apology video and it affected a lot of people. Sheldon was left with less money than Boris Johnson was when John Lewis released a fancy new Wallpaper and thus he decided that things had to change.
Sheldon was driven by a desire to make America the greatest country in the world, the character was haunted by dreams that told him to venture to a mysterious island off the coast of Cape Verde.
With his friends and family, Sheldon charted a boat there and they were amazed to find that it was exactly as he had described it. As they scaled it's treacherous terrain they slowly realised that it wasn't actually an island and instead was a giant space craft. Upon discovering a doorway on it the group ventured inside and it's here that they came across some aliens who blessed them with incredible abilities.
These were the world's first superheroes and Jupiter's circle tells of their journey through the rest of the 20th century.
The group formed a superhero team known as the Union and they fought crime throughout America. Sampson imparted on them a code of ethics that stated they would never take a life nor get involved in politics but they found that increasingly difficult as time went on. Just stay off twitter and you'll be fine.
Now Early on in Jupiter's Circle it's revealed that Blue Bolt is actually gay and the FBI take photos of him one night that they attempt to use as blackmail. J Edgar Hoover leads up this front and he threatens to release the images to the public if he doesn't divulge the world's biggest unanswered questions such as the teams true identities, what happens when we die and of course who let the dogs out.
Blue Bolt tries to end his own life but he survives and tells the Union of this who realise that the FBI are trying to close in on them. Shortly after SkyFox discovers that Hoover himself is gay and blackmails him too with similar images so that he won't go public. - Розваги

Not having read the comics, it was pretty clear in episode 1 who the real villain was. No-one with a pencil moustache is ever a good guy.

Same. Didnt skip present day stuff but did get frustrated. Wanna record the whole thing then splice it all together in one chronological order supercut.

I was pleasantly surprised with this series honestly. I thought it was gonna be super dumb but I was hooked immediately
it was super dumb to me. A steel tycoon jumps off the building out of great depression and then haunt his son the superpower whereabout. what??? plot does not make sense.

I actually really liked the show, both present and flashback parts. I’m really upset it was canceled because it would’ve gotten so good in season 2

@@yvngvibe4698 Netflix didn’t give the original amount asked for. They brought someone else in who reworked so it ended up costing even more than if they would’ve just given the budget (maybe) bottom line is they didn’t put enough in for it to be a “superhero” show like Marvel puts out.
Same just watched it yesterday and really liked the changes and pacing, setting the origin story after the 1929 crash and the flashbacks. The origin story was my favorite and today I've read the 1st 2 volume flashbacks in the Netflix comics. I wish they had continued with this show

I like how the show is structured kind of like The Watchmen series with the origin flashbacks being a B storyline throughout the entire season. It even ends on the same moon of Jupiter...nice.
Wish they had shown the Aliens though, missed opportunity...

Yes. The acting was terrible in my opinion. The CGI was god awful. It definitely could have been directed better.
After watching this video you realize how much they dropped the ball....this had potential to be next level...I’ll still tune in for season 2 out of curiosity though

Walt got really nervous when SkyFox/George said he was coming back to set things straight. I would like to know how George's son got a hold of the "PowerRod" when it was supposed to be the Surgeon's hidden power.
So how did everyone else get powers like Brandon’s friends that died in the show or Repro from the comic?
It looked like a wave of the same matter that gave them their powers, washed over at least the crew of the ship. They were glowing with the same runes on the island. So that’s some of it, perhaps they all had kids too, or the wave of radiation went further than just the ship.

I kinda figured the Blue Bolt was gay. During the scene where they were being granted there powers, everyone saw someone they loved. Unlike the Sampson brothers who saw their father, or Fitz who saw his mom, Blue Bolt saw a man. Maybe I shouldn't have jumped to that conclusion, but hey....
It was kinda obvious from the way he was talking about his "friend" doctor who died in the storm
Its not really jumping to conclusions. The only way they could be more obvious with the fact that he's gay is by outright saying it.

What a great comic series. This would’ve been a great 3-4 season show.
I didn’t know the show was a comic but after watching it it gave the vibe it was pandering to people who read the comics. I loved the 20s flashbacks more than the modern times with the kids, and was kinda miffed to have foreknowledge that George becomes the villain because he’s actually now my fave character. I was fooled by the plot twist at the end but on rewatch it actually cleverly hinted at the real villain all the way through via the character arc. However bad for me as Walt was my second fave character haha. I laughed so hard at blackstar and his glasses on a chain! The effects were touch and go, ep 7 with its cool visuals and finishing the origin flashbacks was by far the best episode, however the cgi powers at times looked like the movie Sky High in the early naughties.
Just watched this morning awesome video. Cleared up a lot of questions about why 6 went to island but only 4 originals. Little hints bout George but that's it

it's good to binge one lazy afternoon. Comics are WAY better imo, and the entire season of 8 episodes could have been easily adapted into 3.
In the other hand it's not a Marvel production, so no expectations, and it's kinda better than Falcon and Winter Soldier.
Sad thing is actors like Josh Duhamel, Matt Lanter and Leslie Bibb are left doing what they could with the terrible script. You can see their range, and how they are trying to do their best.
Then you have Elena Kampouris who got paid to doing blow and screw everything with a pulse in a mile radius the entire season while bitching about everything she could come up. Not her fault, btw: but that's the script. Even in the comics she is way more likable.
I love the show, I jus have the CGI, effects, and fights get better. Hopefully they get a bigger Budget.
Yeah. The fights are meh compared to what I've seen coming from Marvel...other Netflix shows...and even DC.

With how they built up the main characters in season one, I think Brandon is gonna turn out way differently than what happened here. It looks like the series is going to end up going in the same direction as the comics, but things won't be as black and white and things won't be as simple as they were there.

I have a rule: Mind Control is a bad guy power no matter who has it. When good guys have it, and they are actually the good guy, they rarely use it and often make up excuses why they won't. So when you have a good guy just happily hopping into people's heads pushin butttons they are always the secret bad guy.

I figured he was when Chloe arrived for dinner and he just.... Looked at her with that weird smirk. Which made me believe Chloe's issues was due to George being that dirty fucked up uncle who did things to her..
Turns out he's just a giant dick lol. But man, Mind-control would ALWAYS be an evil villains powers. But I still enjoyed the show tbh, despite a LOT of pitfalls but the origins story was the most enticing cause of the adventure aspect of it, it was fun. The main storyline was rather bland and boring. Just kept repeating "THE CODE. THEEEEE COOOOOODE" "I DONT WANNA LOSE X. BUT WE LIVE IN MODERN TIMES. CODE."
I just napped through Chloe's awful scenes.
No power is good or bad but its how people perceive the powers like people see mind control as an evil power because your takin control of peoples minds basically stripping them of free will which people see as morally wrong
I think mind control is the only power in existence that is look upon as an inherently bad power when in reality it is not

Hm, this feels like a very different story from the show. I honestly cant picture the shows Brandon doing this stuff. Even at the end I actually thought the way he was looking at his dad, considering what they were talking about before, that he understood what he was doing and why, of course he wanted to save him but he was conflicted.
Dunno if I find this to be particularly interesting, especially considering how relatively minor role the grayfox seems to have played and the fact I did like the past Walter quite a bit and it just doesnt fit the setup from first season all that much.

I have to say I enjoyed the Netflix season 1. However, I cannot help feeling I would of enjoyed it even more if we had not had Invincible just before the release of Legacy! both were good but Invincible was great some of the best in my opinion, it filled the void left by the Boys rather nicely. I will definitely check out the written material regarding Legacy though!! many thanks as usual for bringing the story to us fully!! great job as always.
My only question is How in the HELL does the rest of the world get powers when only 6 got em in 1929?
IMO (I don't know in the comic version).... remember in Netflix version energy/aura blast when the 6 get their superpower also hit the crew on the ship....maybe that change their DNA so they get a bit of superpower themselves.And along the time from 1929 to present the power got spread to the world because of marriage and inheritance
@@ryusawaariel6191 In the comics it's kinda implied that they are all George's and Walter's bastards, but other then that it's kinda vague and poorly explained. Netflix helped explain that a bit with the Energy Blast, thankfully. But damn Hutch, you busy!

Soon as I saw this trailer, I got serious Kingdom Come vibes and was right more than I thought with the "betrayal", the dispute of kill or not, the more youthful heroes running around sorta being irresponsible or callous, and the older heroes struggling with "are we outta touch?"

for season 1 I agree that the utopian is a flawed hero and i think they did a really good job at setting up brandons betrayal. all in all a very good series and im excited for season 2
