Hey man haven’t made a mod for Rorr in a while but I’m glad you checked out what the community has been doing, I helped initial testing and tweaks for a lot of these so it’s really nice to see
@@RacesVideos it works for a fun mod experience, but rorr items in the same tier arent designed to be that similar in power level, and a more opinionated take is that rorr doesnt need item strategy because its more arcadey it is interesting either way though
Man I've played this game with the cognation artifact so much that it's wierd not to see enemy ghosts spawning for me. (I do this because 1. It makes the game harder for more gold as a reward & 2. they work with clover)
are you able to install mods through the thunderstore mod manager or do you have to go through the website? I don't see it on my thunderstore but I may not have it updated or something.
I think that returns being changed to be more like the second game would have been a terrible idea (I know this is a mod but let me vent okay). Both games play completely differently from each other, even with almost identical gameplay loops. Especially where dodging, attacking, looting, and many other factors are different, overlapping mechanics seem a bit extraneous and out of place. To me returns should feel (and it does) like a polished version of its former self. Just adding printers and scrappers was never what the game was about.

downloading the mods straight from the page and manually installing them is what i did, i think you can mod your mod manager to get it to work but otherwise its not too bad
Are printers and stuff balanced at all for this game? Genuinely wondering if the way they're balanced from Risk of Rain 2 carries over to Risk of Rain 1
I’d argue printers are more valuable in ror2 because wayyyy more items are useful/awful in that game. It’s hard to want to get rid of most things in returns

Am I the only one who just kinda feels like this game is impossible, even on Monsoon? Doesn't seem to matter if I full loot or rush, I just get demolished either way
@@RacesVideos it's crazy to me, because even though I've done all of the eclipse grind on 2, I went into this game and it feels like none of it even translated
@@Ethan-yv6cb it's definitely different and a lot of skills don't translate, i struggled for so long before i got my first win (i've also got gold e8 in 2), but one day it just clicked and now it feels way easier than ror2 i'm sure the same thing will happen for you, good luck :)
@@Ethan-yv6cbI get what you mean, but if I can give you an advise is that time really matters in returns, so it's better to just hit the tp as soon as possible, even if you don't full loot. Also another thing is that you can charge tp anywhere and you can loot in the tp even, so you can hit it, explore, loot and once enemies stop spawning just kill the boss and leave.
@@peperomero8064 time doesn't matter as much as you think but yeah you should usually hit the tp as soon as you see it because it normally gives enough money to loot everything
yeah, the credits are the worst in this game. dont know if we are going to have new updates, but hopefully the devs open the mods officially so the community can make something like this
id reccomend nearest neighbour scaling for pixel art thumbnails
I am using that, the problem is you have to upscale by like 500% so it looks bad anyway

there's an eclipse mod that doesn't support modded characters in risk of rain 1

i think its pretty easy once you figure out a rhythm for your gameplay loop, just keep trying!
